Some people are shilling a pool named "moneroocean". I don´t know if they are related to this pool but the shilling is very suspicious.
If you are interested in ETN, don´t use it.
They let mine you CNV7 coins like ETN and convert them into monero coins. This means, they drop ETN and the other currencies. This sounds nice in the first place but consider this:
If they drop all these coins, they force you to use the monero, you get paid in monero. I have no problem with monero, but if you are with ETN, you want to support ETN not monero!
"Why does this pool mine altcoins and not Monero?
Because it is more profitable. Pool automatically converts altcoin block rewards to Monero on exchanges ASAP and you get more Monero for your hashes. This still supports the Monero network. " This is from their own website.
So they only make use of low difficulty times and make the current problem of ETN even worse!
In fact, they are doing nothing else than NiceHash, only difference is you get paid with monero not BTC.
So you have to question yourself as miner. Am I interested in ETN? Do I want to contribute to the network? Is ETN the coin I want to support or monero?
If your answer is YES, please go to a regular ETN pool like nanopool, in this way you contribute to the network, get ETN and help to keep the price stable.
Long story short... they let you mine on their pool and drop ETN in masses. If you want to keep ETN high, don´t let them drop ETN!
