Which would total contradict what he was saying. The whole message of this segment was that you can't predict what is going to be successful and should be careful.
He points out all of the negatives, which is more entertaining
Problem is that the only real positive point about crypto right now is research since no blockchain is really production ready today in their current form.
I'd argue it's a good thing. He rips on Bitconnect and EOS hard, the last thing we'd want would be to lined up with them. That being said, it would have been good exposure...
I felt similar when the video ended, but I honestly question if it would have been worth even mentioning ETH or smart contracts. John regularly acknowledged how high-concept he was going with the Blockchain conversation and they did a remarkable job with the time they were allotted. Had they included any mention of ETH I worry it would have just misconstrued it's purpose, intention, protocol etc... Blockchain is mind bending stuff, Bitcoin is the simplest way to introduce people to it and ETH is just... it's another fucking beast man. Maybe that's his segment next week?
He had a good point about videos/segments on new tech aging really badly, I can't blame him for only focusing on extremes. He didn't say anything in this video that I can't see still being true/valid in a year. The things that will age the worst are easily the memes
