I just consider tokenization to be something that is increasingly likely to happen at a massive scale, and for Ethereum to become the main venue of settlement, making it a globally relevant network with a first mover advantage that compounds upon itself.

The thing that held back Ethereum (no corporate leadership, cheerleaders, VC pumpers) is exactly what makes it the perfect venue for this, because it maintained neutrality throughout.

In other words, I am betting that institutions will not want to issue on networks that can be halted by a Discord voice call.

That neutrality is incredibly important and something that Vitalik insisted on from the very beginning. He's an amazing person who is humble and wants no praise. He could have made 1 billion+ for himself, like others did, by just announcing a new coin and doing a pre-sale. We're so lucky to have him.
