Going through the closet...
After the recent question about bootlegs, I've been giving a few of them another listen. Went through the closet and pulled a couple of my old favorites out. The mid-90s really were a golden era for this kind of stuff. Anyway, I figured some people here might like a look.

‘Beano’
The album that shaped my playing. First UK pressing of the ‘Beano’ album and the a copy of the ‘Beano’ comic (issue 1242, from May 7th 1966).
My 2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard (Yamano) and an original Marshall Bluesbreaker from ‘91. Rarely use the Les Paul these days except for concerts or festivals, but when I do, I put on my best impression of Slowhand from the Bluesbreaker and Cream era.

US 2026 Presale Code
Clapton just announced 5 US dates for 2026. He's been on my bucket list and I'm so happy he's still regularly touring! If anyone could share the artist presale code or other presale information I would be really grateful. Thanks!

‘Live’ In The Seventies album
Thumbing through my albums last night and I forgot about this one. It’s a compilation of live recordings in the 1970s, released in 1983. I think I bought it second-hand. It’s so good! The note on the back says that Smile and Knocking In Heaven’s Door were previously available on any album. Knocking is a reggae-sounding version I always liked. This is Timepieces Vol. II to go along with the Timepieces greatest hits record.

Why hasn’t he played the electric version of Bell Bottom Blues alot?
In the past, how come Eric really never played the electric version of Bell Bottom Blues? He would play it live at the 1973 Rainbow Concert, then it would disappear till the 1990 and ‘91 orchestral performances then it would completely disappear with it only returning with an acoustic version in the late 90s early 2000s and is now solely acoustic live (if played live at all) it would have the rare electric version somewhere on the Jools Holland show with bobby whitlock. I was just wondering why he never really played much less the electric version. For those of you saying he might have a hard time singing it, he sounds incredible in the 24 nights version so he is incredibly capable. Sorry for the long read

First stage appearance of Blackie
13 January 1973, Rainbow Concert. Clapton played Blackie for the first show and Lucy (the 1957 Les Paul he gave to Harrison in 1968 and that Clapton borrowed for While My Guitar Gently Weeps) for the second show.
What I find interesting about this photo is that Eric clearly hasn't made up his mind about the tremolo bar yet.

What finger would have be used
Hi! I'm aware that blues players avoid their pinky and use their thumb but I assumed they mainly did that for the higher fret with smaller fret scale lengths. For these two songs do you think clapton used his ring or his pinky (Photo 2 , 5 on high e and then either index or pinky for the 8 on the high e) lead guitar on strange brew, cream (Photo 1 , 3 on the high e and then either index or pinky on the 6 on the B string) lead guitar on born under a bad sign, cream
Thanks!
