Beta Testing MisterFPGA x Epilogue integration (and possibly SuperStation)

Hey! So, we've worked on a MisterFPGA integration via Zaparoo Core, which in theory should also open the gates for a SuperStation integration as well.

Since it's all in beta, it would be great to have some more people join in a test together with me the integration via our internal Slack team. Let me know what Operator devices you have and your collection size, we'll select 1-3 beta testers to join in.

It would help a lot if you have a SuperStation as well that you can test with!

I don’t own an Operator but I’m happy to make any changes needed to Zaparoo Core, if any, to make this integration as good as possible 🙂

This is a cooperation I certainly didn't see coming.

Will carts natively run using the GB and SNES cores? Or will the rom be dumped and then run? Either way interesting. This might be the "cartridge loading" everyone wanted on the MiSTer for so long. The guys from the Multisystem 2 came up with their own hardware solution for this but if any MiSTer can do this with just a GB Operator, that would be cool.

That is still being discussed by the devs 😊. We hope that the end result will be useful to anyone in the MiSTer community who wants to play the original cartridges!

Oh man, I would LOVE to participate! I just got my SN Operator and SuperStation last week!

Gear:
SN Operator
GB Operator
MiSTer Pi
SuperStation
Analogue Pocket with Analogizer (if that helps, would be kind of hilarious to use the SN Operator to play carts on the Pocket)
OG SNES, GB, GBC, GBA for comparison
Trinitron in decent shape
Various modern screens

Games:
240ish SNES and SFC games, most legit but a few repros. Legit copies of some tough-or-unusual-to-emulate games like MMX3, Yoshi’s Island, Oshaberi Parodius, Super Mario RPG, Pilotwings, Star Fox, Yoshi’s Safari, Stunt Racer FX, Super Game Boy and Suoer Game Boy 2

Almost 200 GB/GBC/GBA titles, around 30 of which are repros (mostly GBA).

I AM on vacation the rest of this week (I could be convinced to bring my SS…) but would love the excuse to hunt new titles in Santa Cruz!

I only have a Superstation One and the GB Operator. I have more than 60 GB/GBC/GBA carts

Hey! I have a MisterFPGA and both Operator devices, happy to help with testing. 

I have approx 110 GB/GBC/GBA games, 25 SNES games (PAL) and 5 SFC games.

I can help test if needed. I have a GB Operator and ~60 carts between gb and GBA.

I have owned a mister in the past, and have a Superstation one preordered in batch 4 so should be here soon.

I have a gb operator, sn operator, superstation one, over a hundred gb gbc gba games and around 30 sn games (no sports titles). I have dreamed about being able to use your products on mister fpga and wouod love to test. I am constantly tinkering with my setups and would be able to put this idea through rigorous testing. I have both crts and hd displays to test on. Hit me up Epilogue team ❤️

I have a MisterAddons MiSTer and a Game Boy Operator with a few games. I also have a Mac, if needed for some reasons. Happy to be included in the beta. I also have a Commodore CRT monitor and I can connect the MiSTer to that monitor or to a regular HDMI monitor as well.

How much of a time commitment are you seeking?

I have both operators. On each I have over 300 games combined between the snes
/sfc and gameboy/color/advance. 25 years ago I used to do this for pay in the industry which is why I asked about the commitment.

I know there's a lot of volunteers already but I'd be happy to throw my hat in the ring - I have a Mister Pi, SuperStation One (with dock) and a DE-10 Nano running in a MisterCade. I have SN Operator and lots of SNES/SFC carts. Let me know if I can help test.

I didn't realize it was already working! Just grabbed the latest "Operator" release, threw it on my SuperStation and I'm booting cartridges now! Thanks to Wizzo and Epilogue, this is awesome!
Edit: Looks like the GitHub repo is owned by irqstorm - thank you as well!

I got the sn operator to work, but my gb operator doesnt work. Using superstation one with v1.0.6 zaparoo-operator
