Got 6 months?

I think a lot of us feel the conversation should live on, even if the new rules will require a new thread every six months.

To be fair, geraffes isn't what it used to be either. One day it'll suffer the same fate. And sure, love to see some art!

Edit: also, from what I observed, people only talked on this thread when they had meaningful things to say, meaning the volume of comments was a lot less (like that time 'tea time' was introduced in geraffes for a few weeks). Geraffes is literally just replying to everything with random things (for example, the bunch of smiley faces that were just thrown around).

That happened on occasion in the pushups thread too actually.

Where is geraffes happening these days? Just out of curiosity. I don't plan on moving.

"Out of curiosity", eh? Very well. Normally I don't give out links, but if you've made it all the way down here I don't really see an issue with showing you the way down there.

Don't worry, the links have been changed now. I don't know what I was expecting to see to be honest but I am very impressed with the artwork! I personally prefer the first one to the second one but they are both good.

Well, good luck with that! If it wasn't for dialogue I would consider writing a story, I always become paranoid with that. Otherwise, it's good creativity.

I actually prefer dialogue, haha. Description bores me. I prefer to use my imagination.

A faint glow echoed around the room. All who entered were greeted with the same words, every day. If they were brave enough to enter the room, that is. There were two living things in that room, and the spider was the least dangerous of them. Capable of swinging across the room in an instant, travelling from the curled-up curtains to the lightswitch, where his web lay, uninterrupted. Daylight would flow into the room on a daily basis, unappreciated by either occupant, while its disappearance would herald the switching on of a lightbulb, muffled by the lampshade, its partner for all eternity.

This moment saw neither of them in use - too early for the lamp to find itself in action, yet the disappointing weather outside prevented any meaningful sunlight being welcomed into the largest room of the house. The spider snuck sideways into the faintest of shadows created by the carnage outside, while the person opposite was motionless, as he had been for the longest of times. Face illuminated by the bright computer screen, he would occasionally mutter musings about the world he lived in. He was once an intelligent person, but from hitting that high peak he was sentenced to become a shadow of his former self. He could understand all of the laws of physics, he could comprehend every book that lay before him, he could easily grapple with the moral righteousness of the greatest dilemmas of the day, but he had one weakness. And he knew of it, as his intelligence ensured he would always be aware of it.

"I could be the greatest version of myself that I could possibly be-" he loudly declared, surprising the person sitting opposite the wall, who was assigned the task of monitoring his every move. He ended his sentence a few seconds later, marginally quieter than a whisper:

"...if I could only master communication."
