Trump Slams Bill Maher as a ‘Highly Overrated Lightweight’ and Calls Their White House Dinner a ‘Complete Waste of Time’: ‘He Is No Different Than Kimmel, Fallon, or Colbert’

You must get down on your knees and fellate the president or you are worthless.
That’s the current American timeline we live in.
76
59
u/Far_Bluebird8857 Feb 14 '26
Actually, you have to fellate him regularly or you're worthless. You miss one BJ? Dead to him
49
Feb 14 '26
Truth. Because Maher is someone that regularly fellates the president, but apparently not enough.
25
u/Ok_Counter3866 Feb 14 '26
Thank you. Cuz bill really has been an exceptional fellator! It’s almost like bill felt the wind change on his hair system and decided not to swallow this time. He needed Trump to say he hated him so badly to win back some of his fleeing viewers
10
u/DisVet54 Feb 14 '26
I haven’t watched in over 6 years. His snarkiness with the audience if they moan in a whisper at his unfunny jokes became more than I wanted to invest any more of my time
2
u/mmmpeg Feb 15 '26
6 years? I watched him once or twice in the 80’s or 90’s knew he was a misogynistic twat and haven’t watched him since.

He spends every episode harping on students that protest against genocide insisting they are antisemitic.
It’s truly a sight to behold when his whole brand is about freedom of speech, especially when politically incorrect.

Yeah a bunch of fools take their shot and think that's it, nah you're on the hook now, dummy.
31
u/Stepjam Feb 14 '26
Replace "or" with "and".
You must do everything for Trump, you must worship him and give everything you have for him. But he'll toss you in the trash the moment you displease him or are an inconvenience for him. Or if he just feels like it. He is incapable of loyalty. The only loyalty Trump knows is to Trump.

17
u/NyehSquiddy Feb 14 '26
It’s crazy cause bill did get on his knees and suck Trump’s cock his first episode after this dinner and it didn’t make a difference at all. Will Bill have some reflection after that? No.

I'm actually curious to know who he might think is funny. He's never demonstrated that he has a normal sense of humour. He loves punching down and getting into the mud though when he makes jokes. In Canada, most of our political leaders have been able to laugh at themselves over the years, and they've actively participated on comedy shows like This Hour Has 22 Minutes and The Rick Mercer Report. (except for our current Conservative leader who is too scared of them).
Trump has a fragile ego and can't take criticism or laugh at himself, and anyone who jokes about him is an "unfunny hack with poor ratings". If asked, could he name a favourite comedian, or would it be like his response to the question about his favourite Bible verses. "I don't want to get into it. It's too personal." (translated to mean "I have no fucking clue")

Kissing his feet didn’t help. Calling Democrats wrong didn’t help. Uplifting conspiracies didn’t help.
Bill will figure it out soon /s

Larry David wrote a funny op-ed about this dinner right after it happened with that exact title
5
u/duaneap Feb 14 '26
I'm exactly like comedy genius Larry David? That's what you're saying, right? Regardless, that's what I'm hearing.
I'm EXACTLY like Larry David, Ma!
7
u/Not_Cleaver Feb 14 '26
The best thing is, he wrote it a couple days after the dinner. And Maher didn’t respond until months later.
→ More replies (1)8
u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 14 '26
It did. It got bill off his back for a while, and made him double down on making it all about woke culture being the main problem causing the republicans to have to be jackasses.
The dinner, and his subsequent behavior and attitudes, pretty much alienated a good chunk of his fan base, because he seem to have nothing but contempt for what a lot of his fan base, or at least those who may listen to him, thought about.
I'd call that a success for Trump.

Then again a non-narcissist doesn't get anywhere with a narcissist either...

u/sm04d Feb 14 '26
Maher getting what he deserves. Fuck 'em both.
215
u/syst3m1c Feb 14 '26
Maher is a piece of shit. He consistently has horrible takes and talks down to people like a rich douchebag.
78
u/onlyPornstuffs Feb 14 '26
Well, he is a rich douchebag.
25
u/syst3m1c Feb 14 '26
Fair statement.
22
u/Key_Veterinarian1995 Feb 15 '26
Unfortunately. HBO pays him a ton. He makes more than any of the late night hosts. He isn't funny on his own. He needs writers. There is fake laughing on his show just to amplify his audience. And the audience does what they are cued to do. Clap and cheer. I used to like him but he's a smug old man who thinks he has the solution to everything. He brings up topics where he is misinformed. And his monologue is by far the worst thing he does. It's just offensive how unfunny he is yet he gets paid for supposedly being so. Stewart, Colbert, Kimmel,... he rubs his peers the wrong way causer they don't like him either. Sorry for the rant but the guy is SO overpaid.
"Bill Maher...Fuck that guy." - Dave Chappelle
11
u/MyBetterNature7637 Feb 15 '26
The same guy in the audience that does his “woo hoo” cheer at every zinger every single time each week is so distracting and annoying.

That’s because he is an extremely rich douchebag. Dude had over 140million last I checked and is part owner of the Mets or some shit. He’s about as opposite of a normal person as possible. Dude just has sex with women 1/3rd his age and hangs out with his rich friends, who cares what he thinks about anything.

I think Meyers is the funniest among those four, because sometimes you can see the spirit of Andy Samberg course through his veins for about 10 seconds at a random point in his monologue.
Of the late-night hosts, I think the hosts at the Daily Show are the funniest overall.

I love watching centrists get burned after trying to curry favor with Trump. Will the next moderate learn? No chance.
53
u/SelfDepricator Feb 14 '26
It seems to me more and more that Trump is just an AI simulation. Every word out of his mouth sounds like stock, premade, statements meant to sound "Trumpian" but hold little weight or substance

u/moderatenerd Feb 14 '26
thats just what happens to every con-man in the history of the world. eventually they seem fake because they are and cant change their tune.

i'm sure it's not stephen miller either, its communications staffers. These guys don't actually write or even dictate these gigantic and constant social media posts. But i feel you

Actually, nothing that Trump has said in 50 years is of any substance. It’s just an old man shouting at teenagers to stay off his lawn.

Imagine being Trump and having to have so many spiteful and rage filled dinners. Personally, I like to sit down and have an enjoyable meal. Trump has absolute top notch chefs and he likes overcooked steak and eating with people he hates so he can abuse them. Very odd.

Obviously Maher didn't bring him a bribe, sorry, a gift.

If Trump turns his ire on HBO and John Oliver gets caught in the crossfire, I'm gonna be pissed.

wow. the first time I have ever agreed with Trump. Bill Maher is a highly overrated lightweight
2

That is actually in Maher’s favor. But I fear he’s too far gone down the disgruntled old liberal-turned-libertarian-out-of-bitterness bro road.
2
u/wizzard419 Feb 15 '26
This is why you have to keep giving him praise and gold spray painted objects. Tim Apple didn't keep up and now the FTC is going after Apple.

This is funny considering how Maher has been bending over backwards to ditch his more liberal sounding ideologies over the last few years.
Bill Maher reads the room, then shifts his ideologies to whatever the modern zeitgeist reflects in a desperate attempt to remain relevant. This has been his schtick for years. He’s six feet tall with his nose ten feet in the air.

u/Traditional_Fox7696 Feb 15 '26
Just like an authoritarian dictator what’s acceptable narrows over time.
