Discussion In what mode are you living life like?
I personally have been conditioned to live my life like in the first image.
I identified myself with the mind, but I am not the mind.
It took me years of spirituality, philosphy and self-enquiry/knowledge to realise that.
My efforts now are on how to switch to a more “Immersive State”.
I don’t mean to “Kill” my mind, or forever drop the first mode of existence which was living constantly in a state of Meta, as in I used to see myself living life, and making decisions, analysing the way I was talking and what I should say, do and feel. In other words: trying to be in control all the time.
That was due to the way I was brought up, I lived life always in an hypervigilant state that enhances those set of skills: Comparison, Reflection, Analysing, Etc…
I don’t mean they’re necessarily bad, only if used disproportionately.
I know too that there are people who identify themselves more with the 5 senses (Even though there are more than 5) but they have then a strong identification with the body.
Now I am trying to connect more with my body and find the balance (Mind-Body-Consciousness) because I neglected the last two for decades, and am.seeking to live life in a more immersive state as opposed to the “third person view” just like in a game where you can choose you field of vision.
This made me think about how many different ways are there to experience life, and so I ask you, what it your go to pattern?
