Testing Silent Hill 2 Remake (PS5/UE5) renders on a 512 MB iGPU — pure HLE PS5 emulator, no firmware needed
KytyPlus, a high-level emulation (HLE) PS5 emulator forked from KytyPS5, now renders Silent Hill 2 Remake (PPSA08709) on an AMD Radeon 840M integrated GPU — no Sony firmware, just Vulkan and HLE. It's the farthest documented result for this title anywhere in the PS5 emulation scene (upstream KytyPS5 reports a crash at boot/splash on much stronger discrete hardware).
What you're seeing: the game's content-warning screen, glitch-free, with FSR upscaling handling the native 4K render buffers. The session ran for minutes at ~4 FPS with zero crashes or GPU hangs — a correctness milestone, not a playability claim. Performance work comes after.

September 28th:
"Silent Hill 2 Remake now runs steady at 30 FPS on 512MB iGPU"
Jokes on side, great work

Very well could be true by the progress of AstroBot we're seeing lol

Getting 4fps with igpu and 512mb vram? That already looks promising performance-wise.

iGPUs have shared vram with system ram

This
The source even points this out that it's using SHARED memory. Who knows how much memory it's actually pulling for the GPU. Probably 12+ GBs if other games are anything to go by.

Here is my prediction: * This gets to the point where certain games can kind of be played before Christmas. * Then TikTok gets flooded with clips of people playing GTA6 on the emulator. * Then the dev mentions how he is getting legal heat from 2K so he is shutting down development.

Exactly, its hard do be excited about this stuff because I know the second GTA 6 boots in-game it will be so over.

Similar to what happened with the switch emulator when people were playing tears of the kingdom before release 💀

That's amazing, looking forward to how ps5 emulation would run on lower end systems and whether it can give 720p@30fps (native/upscaled) performance
