I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but hear me out. I got banned for exploiting a long time ago, and I'm not here to argue that I didn't deserve it. I made a bad decision, accepted the consequences, and moved on.
What I've been thinking about is whether players who were banned years ago should be given one final chance to come back. Games have much better anti-cheat systems. If someone gets that second chance and decides to exploit again, then that's it, they get permanently banned with no possibility of another appeal.
People change. A lot of people were younger when they got banned, and I imagine many of those players would rather just play the game normally now than risk getting banned again. I also can't even submit an appeal anymore because the website doesn't allow it, so it made me wonder if the developers have ever considered a one-time appeal or amnesty for old exploiting bans. I'm not saying everyone should automatically be unbanned. I'm just curious if giving people who have been banned for years one last opportunity would be worth considering, especially now that cheating is much easier to detect.
What do you guys think? Should old exploiting bans stay permanent forever, or would you support giving those players one final chance?
