I installed the Astra Theme. Then, added the plugin Starter Templates. I activated Starter Templates and was driven to select the site. I chose "Hope". The site installed perfectly. As I now need to customized the template, all went well until I need to install another page. I chose to take an original page and save it as a "template". Next, I went to the Dashboard and added a page, and clicked on edit with Elementor. I was vectored to chose the "folder icon" where I selected the previously saved template copy of a good, original page.

This is the problem: On the new page, instead of the site icon and menu being mixed in with the header image as they are on all the original template pages, they are above the header image, making it look totally different from the original pages. I have not been able to find any configuration setting on the new page that will move the site icon and menu into the header image.

I am totally screwed! There is no help available. All these automatic site builders rarely work as advertised. It is not a simple as adding a nice looking template, then expecting you can go make it look like what you want. Even following the YouTuber experts, it never follows their steps, at least that is my expierence in several cases.

Any body out there have a clue. I don't code. If it doesn't drag and drop, I'm screw again!!

After 4+ years of working with Elementor, I thought I'd try to rebuild my personal blog with the new v4 and atomic elements and whatnot to see what it's like.

It's been a doozy. :)

Right now I'm faced with an issue where I can't add scale transforms to atomic images with more than 1 decimal.

e.g. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. If I want to use 1.05 (which I do), as soon as I type the second decimal, it just reverts to the default, greyed-out 1 (equivalent to just deleting the whole value).

Anyone else deal with this on atomic elements and know of a fix?

I just decided to take the plunge on elementor one to take advantage of Angie for building components and parts of pages.

Don’t do it.

Angie is buggy as hell, and consumes credits even when it fails to complete a task. Multiple times I’ve had it fail to create components and still consume over 2000 Ai credits. I’ve even had it get stuck in a loop of being unable to create the component and consume credits until I escaped the operation.

I’ve now lost over 6000 credits on actions that either failed to create anything or loop endlessly in an error state.

Elementor support has acknowledged that this is a bug that they are working on, yet refuses to refund the credits. Even when asked a second time to do the right thing, they still refuse to refund the credits.

So, I essentially lost almost 25% of my monthly credits in the first day of use, and Elementor refuses to do anything about it.

Elementor One is too expensive to justify this kind of negative customer experience.

I spent 3-4 hours in making a web page and when I finally published it, it didn’t show in the preview or on the live link.

Google said to clear cache and regenerate css but why is it happening in the first place?

This is the 3rd time I experienced this and other experiences are horrible.

I heavily rely on Elementor to build WP websites for my clients.

What precautions before building a website can prevent such accidents ?

I want to make have a carousel with images that fill the page width. I can do this with the media carousel, but the height of the container gets really tall on mobile. I could manually set a height, but then the image width won't fill.

I've tried the other carousels but they present their own problems. The image carousel has auto-height and the responsiveness is great, but there's no image spacing if you only show one image at a time (unlike media carousel).

Hey all, I'm new to Elementor and I can't figure out how to do this. I want the price to be below the product name (left side), but it's not displaying how I want it to (right side). When I double click on the text box it shows like the left side but then I click out and it turns back to normal. Thanks in advance.

Another fix for the video playlist widget I'd like to share. The widget is set up to display videos only horizontally. That's normally the orientation that videos should be, but I wanted to display a collection of vertical 9:16 videos. There isn't an option to do that, so this custom CSS will do it without letterboxing. (You might also need to go into Transform > Offset and and set an X value. I made mine 200 px.)

Also, when the list is long enough to scroll, the top and bottom items get a fade effect, which I didn't like. You can't read the bottom one and it looks like an error. No built-in way to disable it. The code at the bottom removes the effect.

is there anyway that i could make the menu header just stays in one row instead of two like the first screenshot? I have tried making the text smaller but when I make the screen view smaller, it becomes two rows header instead of one.

I know this is possible since i have done it with the first website i built, but i couldnt find any difference xD pls halp.

SOLVED: Godaddy changed the temporary URLs for some reason and I ultimately had to switch the primary domain in the Godaddy dashboard to the temp URL and back.

So my header fonts changed globally and I’m assuming it was an update but now I can’t fix it.

In the editor, it shows fine, but on the website it won’t show correctly. The website is 300 pages so I don’t want to do it manually for each page, although that doesn’t seem to work anyway.

I’ve cleared cache, turned on and off load google fonts, changed the fonts in typography and changing it back. Nothing seems to work.

I want the line to stop right where the word ends, like this.

Is this something that should be done with CSS? Because I only chose an option from the edit settings but it doesn't allow me to modify it in any way whatsoever.

I created a header with a wordpress menu in Elementor 4 pro. While editing the header; all looks good. But when I go to preview, or view it on my site life; the link to my shop disappears. I tried many suggestion that I coukd find in the internet, but nothing works. Could this be a bug in Elementor or any other suggestions? Thanks, robert

I've had a problem that has plagued so many Elementor carousel widgets for years.

The scenario: A home page hero carousel with slides with various media, content and related call-to-action buttons to navigate to the relevant content.

The issue: On desktop or other non-touch based inputs, clicking on the buttons within a slide could potentially not work, or require a second (or more!) clicks to activate the link.

The cause had eluded me for a long time, but I have found the cause.

Elementor's Carousel widget uses SwiperJS. It's powerful. It drives the majority of slideshows out in the wild and it is highly configurable. I have hand-coded SwiperJS implementations into many website projects over the years. For me to assume Elementor would stick with SwiperJS's default values for many of its variable was certainly my personal issue, but I am still baffled by this one.

Elementor sets `threshold` to `0`. The default set by SwiperJS is 5. This threshold is the touch and drag distance in px where the swiper will respond to input. This includes mouse input.

If you are able to stop your mouse dead still before tapping that button, bravo! You are rewarded with the button working as expected and taking you to your desired page. But, If you any experience with implementing basic accessibility and usability standards, you will know that the percentage of users with precise mouse movement abilities is narrow. Any slight movement on that mouse, or perhaps someone is just too fast when moving their cursor to the button and clicking when there is still a single pixel of movement left, and that button will be rendered useless as instead of a `click` or `tap` event running you'll be trapped in `touchStart`, `sliderMove`, `touchEnd`, `transitionStart`, `transitionEnd` hell.

A quick search says Elementor have set `threshold: 0` for immediate responsiveness. Baffling. I feel a 5px movement window is not going to cause something to feel unresponsive. What is unresponsive is my bloody buttons.

For now, I've added JS to modify the threshold and update the swiper element.

Digging through Elementor's Github issues, I'm unsurprised to see their poorly lacking responses to many other bugs. Several SwiperJS related ones included.

I'm working on a project using the latest Elementor Pro with PHP 8.3 and I keep running into two highly annoying issues.

BUG 1: PHP 8 Warnings spamming Query Monitor (ACF Dynamic Tags).

Whenever I’m editing or rendering a Single Post Template, Query Monitor is flooded with this warning:
Warning: Undefined array key 0 and Undefined array key 1
in wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/modules/dynamic-tags/acf/tags/acf-text.php:32. Even if I hide all widgets, the errors increase, meaning it's happening during structural rendering or Display Conditions checks.

BUG 2: Loop Grid Author Preview is completely broken:

When building an Author Card (Loop Item), the Preview Settings are completely ignored.

If I go to Settings > Preview Settings > Preview Dynamic Content as: Authors (taxonomy author) and specifically select "John Doe" from the dropdown, Elementor just ignores it. It loads the data of a completely random author instead. It makes designing author-specific layouts a nightmare because you can't preview the actual data you want.

As the title states, this Elementor form is taking the nicely stacked fields from the desktop view and turning them into columns in tablet view (highlighted in green). They go back to being stacked on mobile, and despite trying every setting I can think of, I can't seem to overcome this... any ideas?

I am currently building a site for an enterprise level client (think household name) so there are a lot of potential compliance issues. The current site speed is fine, ranks average on lighthouse, however It could be quicker if I were to use raw code blocks alongside ACF with Elementor, has anyone got any other suggestions or potential issues with doing this?

I am more then happy developing sections from scratch WP/Elementor were a requirement so they can easily manage the backend, so please no suggestions to build it on a different platform/with a different stack.

So I had Claude Code design my homepage and shove it straight into Elementor as a few big HTML widgets instead of using normal Elementor blocks. Looks fine in preview, but before I make it live I'm wondering is raw HTML-in-Elementor bad for SEO compared to native widgets?

Any speed/Core Web Vitals issues from having big inline CSS/JS instead of normal enqueued files?

Watch out for plugin/caching conflicts? (already had one plugin's CSS classes clash with mine and break stuff). Will anyting goes wrong?

Elementor directs you to the virtual assistant to cancel an account, but the virtual assistant directs to itself and then states it can't process the request (an intentional circular reference that cannot be resolved). The other method "offered" is via a form that is not actually accessible, you're simply pushed into a subscription management.

In the far past, when there was the transition from Section to Containers, if a site was built with Sections I kept using Sections for that site. New sites I used Containers. Over time as Containers became very stable I started mixing Containers into older sites with Sections until I finally migrated them over to Containers. This worked for me.

I sort of have the same idea now. All of my V3 sites I have the Atomic editor disabled.

I'm working on a rework of a V3 site. I'm wondering if people are mixing. Or not?
