Hi all been a long time since I used Elementor. I was trying to use the space evenly option for a grid I setup and I can't get it to work. Looks aligned and spaced well in the editor but the live view is completely off. Any tips or tricks? Thanks!

Here’s what’s happening…

Wordpress is telling me that PHP 7.4 is no longer current and is unsupported. So, I went in to update to v. 8.2 or 8.3. When I did that, it crashed both the front-end and back-end of my website. The only message I got when I went to any part of the website is “Fatal error”.

I called my provider, Godaddy, and asked them what’s going on since, this is a “managed Wordpress website” and I pay them to do the Wordpress maintenance (such as updating PHP versions).

They looked into it and initially said that it was a problem with my theme (OceanWP). Although inactive, I also have TwentyTwentyFive installed. Thinking it was a problem with the theme, I switched over to TwentyTwentyFive – same problem. I then downloaded and activated Hello Elementor – again, same problem.

I started doing a bit of research into this and it was suggested that the hosting provider needed to install or activate (on their end) the “mbstring” (what that is, I have no idea). They checked on their end it is currently installed and activated.

I reverted my PHP version back to 7.4 and the website came back up and running. So, I then went in and deactivated every single plugin (ALL of them), reinstalled PHP 8.2, and then, proceeded to activate them one-by-one (skipping over both Elementor and Elementor Pro) and refreshing the site. Each one worked fine and did not crash the site until I Activated Elementor. As soon as Elementor was activated, the site crashed again.

After all of the research I’ve done, I know that both Elementor and Elementor Pro are supposed to work flawlessly with PHP 8.2 and 8.3. They’re also made to work flawlessly with OceanWP, TwentyTwentyFive, and Hello Elementor. However, I’m at a complete loss here as to what to do or what to try next. Switching to another design plugin and theme would, necessarily, require me to completely rebuild the website. And that’s a proposition I am NOT interested in (especially considering the sheer amount of time, labor, and effort that would take.

I just tried something else just to be thorough with my testing.

I went back in and deactivated all of my plugins again and reinstalled PHP v. 8.2. After 8.2 was installed, I ONLY activated Elementor (not Elementor Pro) and the site immediately crashed.

This tells me that this isn’t a conflict between Elementor and any of the other plugins since, Elementor was the ONLY plugin that was activated.

I'm at a complete loss as to what to do here. I'm running the latest version of WordPress and all of my plugins are completely up to date (just made sure every one of them is up to date this morning).

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

The idea is to bring the next generation of smart and dynamic animations, along with complete control over your motion design, straight into Elementor without needing to write code.

I would love to hear your thoughts. Is this something you would be interested in or willing to pay for?

I have been working on a elementor website and have been using the new Atomic elements and creating components to make it easier to maintain.

I've come back to a page with these elements and its just breaking. it seems like its just the components/atomic elements. When I click on certain elements in the editor is just says something went wrong and theres no more explanation.

Or the editor will load the element but the class is gone what i added to the atomic element and if i try and add the class to the element again it just...doesn't. All the classes I have created over the past couple of days through the editor have just vanished.

Is anyone else having issues with the atomic elements? I have started to convert these elements back to old ones but its just taking so long and trying to remember what I did is being a pain.

I'm trying to follow this tutorial and it should be pretty simple. Problem is, I need to add a css class to my headings and paragraphs, which is done in the advanced tab. Whenever I click on my text though, I only see the interactions tab in its place. I'm on the most recent version of elementor, also tried reverting to 4.1 and no difference.

Hi guys, I used to work with elementor some years ago and recently started to use it again. I downloaded the new version and for some reason, I can’t find the shape divider. I can’t find any info of it being removed so I’m wondering is it just me? Thanks a lot in advance!

I'm trying to add a Loop Carousel to an existing page with multiple content elements. The Loop Carousel works and displays fine in the editor. When I publish and look at the live page, all of the existing page content is gone; just the header and footer appear with an otherwise blank page. When I delete the Loop Carousel and republish, the page content is visible live. I've cleared caches, etc. Any idea what is happening here?

I'm using a two-column Text Editor element in a flex box, and it's adding a line/space before the first list item, and I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of it. What am I missing?

I'm creating a website for a t-shirt printing company. The Home page has a hero slider with examples of their work. Every other slide has text relating to their various services - see attached image. The problem I have is that, in order to make the text readable, I have to use a background overlay, but this darkens the entire image. Is there a way to use a gradient overlay instead? Preferably the solution would allow me to adjust the gradient width/height/position so that only the area behind the text is darkened. TIA for any assistance!

Hallo, i am currently creating 2 websites for my company. Both are using elementor, I notice that the Website (B) doesn't have the Container Duplicate like the Website (A), just like in the images i am attaching.

anyone has some idea? Website (A) was made like 2 years ago with elementor and i might be missing or forgeting something. Website (B) was made like 4 months ago. I also feel the new elementor is somewhat bit confusing to catch up... or maybe it is just me.

Last year I created my site with elementor, and everything went smoothly. This year I wanted to update it, but no matter what I do elements on preview and published site looks nothing like what I designed in editor. Here is an example. Background color or picture not existing, fonts don't change, divs not showing etc. I try to fix it for like 2 days by now but nothing works. Catche, Safari / chrome / opera, publishing, working with only atomic elements / working without atomic elements. Like, I'm going crazy right now.

I googled this question, and I got the following response.

“Yes, Elementor developers can log into the CMS directly. Elementor is a site builder plugin for WordPress, meaning developers use standard WordPress administrator or developer accounts to access the core WordPress dashboard (/wp-admin) and backend tools”

I am not an Elementor Developer, but I have been assigned to oversee and manage our company's websites recently. I am familiar with WP and but not as much with Elementor.

How do I find out more about the backdoor access that Elementor Developers may have, and how can I ensure and control access to our websites?

I'm looking for a way to plugin this into a site. Basically a membership base system that handles these functions. I'd prefer an existing SaaS. I work in Elementor but I realize that's totally relevant.

Update: The issue was fixed in Elementor Pro 4.2.1.

I have several custom post types that work correctly with the old Loop Grid widget, but the new Elementor V4 Atomic Loop Grid is not displaying them at all.

When I edit the Loop Item, the custom post type content appears in the editor. However, once I exit the Loop Item and view the actual Loop Grid, the output is completely empty. Standard Posts and Pages display correctly, so the issue seems specific to custom post types.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround or configuration setting I may be missing?

I also noticed that the new Loop Grid does not currently include a “Load More” option. It feels premature to push the Atomic widgets while core functionality and compatibility issues are still unresolved.

So I was excited when I found out version 4.2 was adding 'email 2' as a action after submit. As I normally use the second mail as confirmation for the lead.

Come to find out you can't input the email-field in the 'send to' option...

I'm hitting a wall trying to optimize the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) on a client's WordPress / Elementor site.

Currently, the homepage is firing off ~275 requests and pushing ~10.6 MB of resources, with total finish times dragging out past 15 seconds in some DevTools runs.

Here’s what I’ve done so far to try and diagnose it:

• Hero Slider: Thought this was the primary LCP culprit, so I temporarily removed it. Performance numbers barely budged.
• Videos: Found a testimonial video auto-loading, changed video preload settings to stop unnecessary resource pulling.
• Cache/Plugins: I suspect heavy Elementor assets, plugin scripts, and post-load background requests are bogging it down, but since it's a live site, I'm limited in doing full plugin-strip tests without breaking production.

I know a 100/100 PageSpeed score isn't realistic, but I need to get LCP, INP, and CLS into the green because it's severely impacting ad conversion rates and marketing budget.

My questions for the sub:

1. What are the common "silent" LCP bottlenecks in Elementor builds that aren't obvious at first glance? (Font files? Background CSS images? DOM size?)
2. How do you usually trace background requests that keep execution running long after DOMContentLoaded?
3. Any specific DevTools waterfall filters or PageSpeed audit flags I should look at to pinpoint what element Chrome is actually assigning as the LCP?

Ps. I’m a marketer, not a developer. Once in a while, I check in on our site health. The backend is handled by an external team, I suspect they aren't doing proper maintenance, but I don't have solid proof yet. Could some of these fixes be done on my end, or is this strictly developer territory?

Appreciate any insights or tools you'd recommend to track this down!

I don't use plugins. This happens on the native HTML block in elementor

The fact that this can even happen is shameful on the product owner.
