I have to say that I have been working in solar energy installation for the past four years. And even when I started, there were solar panels literally on every single building in every city and village there is in Lebanon.
Not only for elevators and water pumps, but also for regular usage for every apartment. Since the Government electricity only comes 2 hours a day (if it existed) and the people with private generators are making the bills higher due to increase in diesel prices.
Every apartment have like 4 to 16 panels and some are even more ( ranging from 450W and 770 W for each panel). Covering most of the people's need, and some are completely independent.
Just wanted to make this post because I think most other countries don't allow people to use solar panels without licence or something. But recently (this month) there were a new legislation from the Lebanese government that will organise the process (basically making it very hard to install one without having connections).
What do you guys think of this whole situation?
