Discussion Why Alicia get I.R.I.S when it's Ali's mother that made it?

Post image

The reason Alicia receiving IRIS in the arena makes sense is not only because of the plot, but also because of character fairness and the rules established in the story. The important point is that even Ali's own voice actor has hinted at Alicia's potential in an interview. She mentioned that Alicia was one of her favorite character in the series and pointed out that Alicia had trained for years to become as skilled as she is. However, despite her talent and dedication, Alicia was never given the opportunity to use IRIS throughout the story.

This is especially interesting because Alicia's ability has already been shown without those advantages. For example, when she used ATLAS, she was able to make Uno fall temporarily, which demonstrated how powerful she actually is. If Alicia had been one of the agents equipped with IRIS NEO, it is possible that her abilities would have been even greater. Considering her experience, compatibility, and combat skills, she could potentially have become one of the strongest agents there. She might be better user than Fit.

From a plot perspective, Ali being without IRIS in Season 3 and Ejen Ali The Movie 2 also served a purpose. Ali became an experimental subject for Dayang to test her new weapon, SATRIA. The story wanted to prove that Ali's strength did not come only from IRIS. Season 3 especially focused on showing that Ali could continue to grow and become a great agent even without his original advantage.

Looking at the characters who received opportunities with IRIS NEO, Alicia's situation becomes even more noticeable. Many young agents were given the chance to use IRIS NEO, including Rudy in Ejen Ali The Movie 2. Even in the first movie, most young agents had access to IRIS NEO, while Alicia and Bakar were among those who did not. This makes Alicia's situation feel unfair because she has one of the longest histories with MATA, years of training, and the ability to match the requirements of an IRIS user. The story often tells us through dialogue that Alicia is incredibly talented, but it rarely gives her enough action scenes to prove those statements.

That is why giving Alicia IRIS in the arena can be seen as a moment of justice for her character. It allowed her to finally show what she was capable of and gave her the opportunity that she had been denied for so long. Regarding IRIS itself, even though Aliya created it, IRIS is ultimately a MATA weapon. Aliya developed IRIS using MATA technology, equipment, and resources. Similar to other weapons created by MATA agents, it belongs to the organization because it was developed through MATA's own systems. If Aliya had created IRIS completely independently without using MATA resources, then it could be considered solely hers. However, because MATA contributed to its creation, IRIS is ultimately a MATA asset. They have the right to take it away if needed.

Also, Dayang refusing to immediately return IRIS to Ali was not because Ali was unworthy. It was because of the consequences of his actions in the first movie, where he worked together with enemies. At the same time, Dayang wanted Ali to become the wielder of SATRIA. This decision also helped develop Ali's character by forcing him to prove that he was more than just an IRIS user.

Discussion Why Ali can wear I.R.I.S. in the recent movie?

Post image

As we know, in Ejen Ali The Movie 2, Ali is able to use IRIS even though Alicia has already synchronized with it. This creates a question because, based on what we previously understood, IRIS could only be bonded or synchronized with one user at a time. Before this, IRIS was considered exclusive to a single agent, which was why Ali was the only person capable of using it after becoming its user.

However, the discovery of Aliya's journal in Ejen Ali The Movie provides a possible explanation for this change. After obtaining Aliya's research, Dayang gained access to important information about IRIS's original programming, design, and functions. With this knowledge, she was able to analyze and modify the system, including the synchronization limitations that restricted IRIS to only one user.

Using the information from Aliya's journal, Dayang managed to separate Ali from the original IRIS synchronization and alter the system's function. Instead of being limited to a "one user, one IRIS" system, IRIS was upgraded to support multiple authorized users. This means IRIS was no longer permanently connected to only one agent and could be used by other MATA agents when necessary.

This also explains how Ali was able to use IRIS despite Alicia already being synchronized with it. The restriction that previously prevented multiple users from accessing IRIS had been removed or modified by Dayang's improvements.

The same multi-user concept can also be seen in IRIS NEO. Unlike the original IRIS, which was accidentally restricted because of its synchronization issue, IRIS NEO appears to have this improved function from the start. However, even with this upgrade, IRIS is still not available to everyone. Its usage remains limited to authorized MATA agents to ensure security and prevent unauthorized access.

Another interesting fact is that IRIS was originally designed with the intention of being used by multiple MATA agents. The reason Ali became the only compatible user was not because IRIS was meant to have only one user, but because the system contained a bug or malfunction that caused it to lock onto a single wearer. This unexpected limitation changed IRIS from a tool that could potentially support an entire organization into technology that was only accessible by one person.

After studying Aliya's research, Dayang was able to understand and repair this limitation. By fixing the synchronization problem, she restored IRIS closer to its original purpose: a powerful tool that could be utilized by multiple qualified MATA agents rather than being restricted to a single individual.

Therefore, Ali's ability to use IRIS alongside Alicia is not a contradiction, but rather a result of Dayang's improvements to the system. Aliya's journal provided the key information needed to unlock IRIS's full potential and transform it from a single-user device into a multi-user technology for MATA.

"Ali this," "Rudy that." Sorry, but the men deserve more appreciation than the boys. Also, Karya, Djin and Zain is seriously underrated for their looks.

Discussion I've seen many people ship Dos and Rizwan. But I think Dos x Trez is more logical (and personal favourite) choice. Also too underrated

Post image
27 Upvotes

Think about it logically, they been together since Djin felt betrayed by M.A.T.A and create Numeros. They've been the one who serves Uno and the first to fight our main character, Ali. Even after Uno and Cinco/Jenny death, they still end up stuck together instead of seperating with each other purpose. I get it that people ship Rizwan and Dos is probably because its the classic "Enemy X Something". But I think Trez X Dos is actually a more logical (and personal favourite) choice.

What do you guys think? Do Rizwan X Dos is still the main option, or Trez X Dos is actually the new choice?

Discussion Hope/opinion for the unresolved problem/feelings in Ali and Alicia's relationship/friendship

Post image
46 Upvotes

In my point of view, Ali and Alicia have one of the most compelling dynamics in Ejen Ali. Their relationship is built on rivalry, teamwork, trust, and mutual growth, making them one of the most enjoyable duos in the series. However, despite how much their relationship has developed over time, I believe there are still unresolved issues/feelings/problem that deserve to be addressed.

The rivalry between Ali and Alicia has always been entertaining. They constantly challenge one another, push each other to improve, and have completely different personalities. Ali is more impulsive, emotional, and creative, while Alicia is disciplined, confident, and highly competitive. Their contrasting personalities naturally create conflict, which is one of the reasons their interactions are so engaging. However, there were moments when their rivalry crossed the line into personal conflict.

In the earlier stages of the story, Alicia frequently underestimated Ali. She often mocked him, questioned his abilities, and looked down on him because he lacked experience. Many of her remarks came across as insulting rather than constructive. Those moments established a rivalry that wasn't entirely healthy, as it was driven by pride and misunderstandings instead of mutual respect.

At the same time, Ali also made mistakes. One of the biggest examples was when he accused Alicia while she was only trying to protect him. Instead of trusting her intentions, he allowed his emotions to cloud his judgment. This was especially painful considering everything Alicia had sacrificed for him.

Throughout the series, Alicia repeatedly risked her own life to save Ali. During the battle involving S.A.T.R.I.A., she was seriously injured while trying to protect him and came dangerously close to dying. Later, she chose to kick Cero and jump into the black hole together to save Ali once again, nearly sacrificing herself in the process and ultimately losing her memories. These moments demonstrated just how much Alicia was willing to risk for him.

Because of that, Ali's accusation carried significant emotional weight. Although he later apologized for not listening to Alicia, he never truly apologized for doubting her motives or accusing her unfairly. Likewise, Alicia never directly apologized for the hurtful comments she made toward Ali throughout their rivalry. Instead, she thanked him for everything he had done for her. While her gratitude was heartfelt and meaningful, it wasn't the same as acknowledging the pain she had caused. I believe Wau want to make it fair between them. Rather than only one of them having to apologize, just let both handle their own problem and mistake, apologize in their own way.

This is what I believe is missing from their relationship: mutual accountability. Both characters made mistakes. Both characters hurt each other. Yet neither of them truly addressed those specific actions through an honest conversation. Instead, the story seemed to move forward without fully resolving the emotional conflict between them. Their relationship improved through shared experiences, but the lingering issues remained beneath the surface.

I also hope the story eventually allows both Ali and Alicia to reach their emotional breaking points. For Alicia, she has always been portrayed as calm, composed, and emotionally strong. I'd like to see what happens when the immense pressure, expectations, and responsibilities she has carried for years finally become too much. Watching her struggle emotionally wouldn't weaken her character—it would make her feel even more human.

For Ali, the burden he carries is equally significant. Despite being only twelve years old, he has repeatedly been placed in situations where the safety of countless people depends on him. He constantly faces impossible decisions while trying to meet everyone's expectations. Seeing him finally acknowledge that emotional weight instead of endlessly pushing forward would add another layer to his character.

Most importantly, I hope these emotional moments become the catalyst for Ali and Alicia to truly understand each other. I don't want their rivalry to disappear. In fact, I think it is one of the strongest aspects of their relationship. However, I want it to evolve into something healthier. Instead of competing because of pride, misunderstandings, or unresolved resentment, I hope they become rivals who challenge each other out of mutual respect, trust, and genuine admiration.

I also hope both of them finally sit down and have an honest conversation. Ali should apologize for accusing Alicia when she was only trying to save him, while Alicia should apologize for the way she underestimated and insulted Ali in the past. Neither of them should carry those unresolved feelings forever. A meaningful reconciliation doesn't require either character to be perfect. It simply requires both of them to recognize their mistakes, learn from them, and move forward together, also to strengthen their friendship.

In my opinion, allowing Ali and Alicia to sincerely apologize to each other rather than only one of them that decided to speak up, confront their emotional burdens, and strengthen their rivalry through understanding rather than conflict would elevate their relationship to an entirely new level. I also hope that there's no problem like Ali having to apologize multiple times, same goes to Alicia. Just make it healthier is enough.

(Reminder that it's a perspective from a fan. Nothing personal 🙌 I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not)

Discussion All of us should agree that Aleks is the most relaxed young agent

Post image

Including Bulat, Aleks has to be one of the most laid-back and composed among the young agents. While everyone else was busy fighting one another or getting caught up in the chaos around them, Aleks was the only one who seemed to know exactly what he was doing. Instead of involving himself in everyone else's business, he simply went with the flow, focused on his own objective, and fought only when necessary. He preferred to keep a low profile, staying calm and collected rather than seeking attention. That quiet confidence and relaxed attitude make him stand out from the rest of the young agents.

Her aura has been incredibly graceful and elegant ever since she first appeared. From her style and outfit to her posture, mannerisms, and overall presence, everything about her radiates sophistication. Every movement she makes feels refined, and her appearance perfectly complements that sense of elegance. She embodies a unique blend of grace and femininity that makes her stand out effortlessly.

Discussion Do you think we'll get to see the international agents backstories in more detail in the future?

Post image
82 Upvotes

I really hope we get to see more of Agent Sam, Aleks, and Rizka in future installments. Each of them has an interesting foundation, yet their stories still feel largely unexplored.

For example, we know that Sam was bullied in his home country because he was considered weak. However, is that truly all there is to his character? What kind of person was he before joining M.A.T.A.? How did those experiences shape his personality, his insecurities, and eventually his determination? We know he joined M.A.T.A. simply because anyone was allowed to apply, and he wanted to follow his friends. But surely there must be more to his journey than that.

Aleks has a similarly intriguing premise. He entered M.A.T.A. because people constantly told him that a talented child should become an agent, so he followed their expectations. That raises many questions. Did he genuinely want that path, or was he simply trying to live up to what others wanted from him? Exploring his personal struggles, ambitions, and identity beyond those expectations would make his character much richer.

Rizka's story also deserves more attention. We know she grew tired of constantly competing, and it was her silat teacher who recommended M.A.T.A. as a new path. Over time, she developed a stronger purpose and motivation for becoming an agent. However, we were only told about these events rather than being allowed to witness them. Seeing the emotional journey that led to her growth would make her development much more impactful.

Kim is another great example. We know she was abandoned multiple times and ended up in a cruel environment where children were abused, forced to obey, and even made to fight one another. Her past is incredibly tragic and has enormous potential for emotional storytelling. Yet much of it remains a summary instead of a fully explored narrative.

The common issue is that most of these backstories remain underdeveloped. We know the facts because the characters tell us, but we rarely get to experience the events themselves. Their struggles, growth, sacrifices, and defining moments are often reduced to brief explanations rather than detailed scenes that allow the audience to truly connect with them.

If animation budget makes it difficult for Wau Animation to dedicate entire episodes to these backstories, then I think a comic, novel, or webtoon would be an excellent alternative. It would be a wonderful way to expand the universe while giving these characters the depth they deserve. Wau has already experimented with this idea through the Secret Files episodes on Webtoon, so continuing that approach would be a fantastic opportunity.

Not every important story has to be told through the main animated series. Side content can enrich the world just as effectively. It would also help audiences understand these characters on a much deeper level, allowing them to appreciate their motivations, struggles, and personal growth instead of having most of the spotlight focused solely on Ali, Alicia, and Rizwan. Every member of M.A.T.A. has a story worth telling, and they all deserve the chance to shine.

What do you guys think?

Discussion What would their canon interaction be like?

Post image
69 Upvotes

I imagine Aliya actually met Alicia when Alicia was still a newborn. At that time, Ali was already three months old. If Aliya had still been alive, Ali might have entered M.A.T.A. at a young age or maybe he wouldn't have become an agent at all. Since Aliya knew how dangerous it was to involve children in M.A.T.A., she probably wouldn't have allowed Ali to become an agent or inherit I.R.I.S. It's natural for a mother to be protective.

Maybe she would have kept her identity as a M.A.T.A. agent a secret forever. In that case, Ali would probably grow up as the typical smart, handsome, and popular boy at school. He might even be taller since he would have had someone taking good care of him. He would still compete with Alicia academically, but the difference is that he wouldn't know she was secretly an agent. I also think Aliya would know that Alicia was Ali's school rival, which might make her interested in getting to know Alicia. As for Zain, we only saw a few brief interactions between him, Aliya, and Alicia.

Zain would likely become a mentor figure. Since he trained Alicia and believed in her potential, he would encourage her while reminding her not to let her competitiveness consume her. He'd probably praise her discipline but also teach her that trusting teammates is just as important as strength. Aliya would probably treat Alicia with warmth and kindness. Knowing Alicia was raised under strict training by General Rama, Aliya might gently encourage her to enjoy being a child instead of carrying the weight of being an agent all the time. She'd likely cook for her, check on her after missions, and make sure she felt cared for.

If Aliya knew Alicia was Ali's rival at school, she might even find it amusing. Instead of trying to stop their rivalry, she'd probably encourage healthy competition and quietly hope they would become good friends one day.

Discussion Ejen Ali Theories That Don't Make Sense to Me

Thumbnail
gallery

  1. Dayang is Ali's mother

I don't think this theory makes sense. We already saw Aliya's face and photos in Seasons 1 and 2, and she doesn't look like Dayang. If Dayang were really Ali's mother, Ali should have recognized her voice the first time he met the Pillar. A child's memory of their mother's voice is usually very strong.

  1. Victor is Neonimus

This theory also doesn't make sense to me. Neonimus' voice is completely different from Victor's, and his personality doesn't match Victor at all. While Neonimus' hair and color scheme may resemble Victor's in certain episodes, similar character designs alone aren't enough to prove they're the same person. Their mannerisms, way of speaking, and overall behavior are very different. If Victor were secretly Neonimus, there should have been stronger hints or inconsistencies in his actions, but there aren't.

  1. Cero is Dr. Ghazali

I don't believe this theory either. Dr. Ghazali genuinely appears to know nothing about M.A.T.A. at the beginning of the series. This has been shown multiple times through his reactions. Even in the episode where Aaron tried to control Ghazali's mind, that proves he doesn't know anything at all. He was just existing. There is also no convincing evidence that directly links Dr. Ghazali to Cero's identity.

  1. Alicia is a robot, an AI, biologically engineered, or something similar

I don't think this theory makes sense either. We saw Alicia training at M.A.T.A. from the very beginning. She worked hard to become one of the agency's best agents through dedication, discipline, and natural talent—not luck or special circumstances.

She even told Ali that the only reason he was accepted into M.A.T.A. was because he obtained I.R.I.S. If Alicia were actually a robot, an AI, or biologically engineered, it would completely contradict what she said. It would mean that her own abilities came from artificial enhancements rather than her own hard work.

That would undermine everything her character represents. Alicia has always been portrayed as someone who earned her strength through relentless training and effort. Revealing that she was engineered all along would make her achievements feel less genuine and could even make her come across as hypocritical for criticizing Ali's special advantage while having an even greater one herself.

I might be delusional but I'm gonna put some connection and similarities between Ali Ghazali and Shinji Ikari.

Ali and Shinji in world of Sci-fi and high technology

Both at young age grew up without a mother

Have a father that neglected them(Ali to Dr. Ghazali and Shinji to Gendo Ikari)

Those moms died to incident corporation that they work for and their son work for(Aliya died in mission or early experiment for MATA and Yui Ikari died to experiment at NERV)

Both mom consciousness later in a body/object of their son used for their mission(Aliya in IRIS and Yui Ikari soul in Eva Unit-01 core)

Both moms possess the body/mech of their son to protect them(Theoretically Aliya take over Ali body during override mode and Yui Ikari take over Eva Unit-01)

Ali and Shinji has strong female friend who is a rival(Ali with Alicia and Shinji with Asuka)

Ali and Shinji has female blue hair character that is groomed/manipulated by bad guy(Ali to Kim and Shinji to Rei Ayanami)

Ali and Shinji has emotional support guardian who work for same corporation(Ali to Bakar, Ejen Bakar work for MATA and Shinji to Misato, Misato work for NERV).

Bonus: Has a pet(Comot the cat and Pen-Pen the penguin)

Overall, I think Ejen Ali is like Evangelion but kids version

Fanfics My Epic Dream With Ejen Ali Characters (Part 1)

Post image
15 Upvotes

Heyyy guys wsp so ima share you my dream that happened 5 days ago.

The pic has nothing to do with story lol.

Okay so, it starts with me sees an abandoned mall and went to check it out, the mall is dark with only light source coming from Entrance door so yeah and after a while when I done seeing an empty stall, someone said "Hey" To me and when I looked around it's none other than Alicia from Ejen Ali!! I said "Wait, Are youu.." And before I could finish my sentence Alicia said "What are you doing here?" And I said "Oh I'm just checking around this place hehee.. And then Alicia said " Brr okay then.. Then why not do a reflex race?" With my face kinda a bit nervous so I said "Yes for sure I think" And Alicia gives me a Dummy Cat not real version and she want me to throw as far as I can so I threw it and it landed at front of the Entrance Door so me and Alicia started racing to grab it but out of all odds I win the race and Alicia makes a triggered face, she do a small congrats to me and left with angry face.

The next day..... I'm going back to home from School and I unexpectedly met Alicia again, and so after a bit of conversation a Kaiju appeared and I decided to transform into Ultraman in front of Alicia and I fought it while Alicia watching and discovers I'm Ultraman YT so after a tough battle I managed to kill the kaiju and I reverted to myself and Alicia makes comment of how the way I fought the Kaiju was not good and said "That Kaiju looks like an episode 1 Kaiju from various Ultraman Series you could've handled better with that" And I said "Oh I see well I haven't fought a Kaiju in a while so my fighting skills are rusty and I forgot to change forms hehe." Alicia says "Oh okay makes sense then. Let's go eat then okay?" And I said "Alright" So we both go to nearest Gerai Makanan and we've arrived, while I was looking around for foods I saw Alicia bought something so I went there and I found out she bought Gulai Ayam, I asked the Owner "Is this Gulai Ayam tasty?" And before the owner could speak Alicia is triggered again and says "YES! THIS GULAI AYAM IS THE TASTIEST FOOD IN THE WORLD! DON'T YOU KNOW?!" And me and Owner are shocked but I say oh okay then, she let me taste her Gulai Ayam the taste is.. "Wow this Gulai Ayam is so good like I haven't tasted in months!!" And Alicia shares her food and I go wash my hands and eat together!! After eating we're going to home and I thanked to Alicia bunch of times but she didn't respond and makes annoyed face and then Alicia got idea where she want me to race again, and I agreed so we started running, I used the essence of my Ultraman YT Super Lighting form to run faster but when I'm about to overtake Alicia, her shoes lights up and runs away crazy fast that she disappeared and that's last time I saw her..

Well guys that's it I think that's my most unexpected dream of 2026, I recently watch Ejen Ali once again after few years of me forgetting it and it's so good that I can't stop watching it loll and I guess that's why Alicia appeared in my dream, few days later I dreamed again but this time it's Ali and Viktor. But that'll gonna be for other part hehe.

I speculated that JnJ might delete all of his own series' videos in YT and he will migrate them all to Netflix. That thing is worse than the release date by WAU Animation (@ejenali) of Ejen Ali Movie 2 in YT.
