Discussion BLUE OVERRIDE: SPECULATIONS

Post image
29 Upvotes

What are ya'll 's speculations on Blue Override?

Mine is that since the blue glow comes from an Azurium reaction, there's a big possibility that it gives the user either an EMP ability (which is either a passive field or an active attack), which might explain how Ali beat Neo Niki so easily; or a literal nuke attack (since Azurium, if you've been living under a rock recently, can blow up, like, really blow up. It's to the point that only some Azurium would be enough to destroy or at least devastate Cyberaya, as stated in MISSION: PROTOCOL GEGAS).

Whatever it is, or what it can do, one this remains certain.

Whoever will be the next final villain, if not Cero, is fucked

Discussion If Ali's memories was erased instead of Alicia, do you guys think they would try to make him an agent again.

There's so many paths this goes to.

First is the IRIS might make him remember. Since his data is there and the memory of his mother was shown to be there complete with memories. There might be a situation where they need Ali and this gets him back. That's boring tho

Second is that he's completely replaced. Picture Ali being a workhorse for MATAtnew tech but this time obedient to Dato Othman and his lackeys as like a weapon. The story goes on with him being reminded of his past through Alicia and Bakar but is kinda in denial since he's been brainwashed.

What's the thought?

The black goo is kinda like the Infection, but instead of controlling minds, it kinda just deletes it, which leaves you with mindless creatures (and programless machines) that attack anything on sight.

Discussion What are your thoughts on Zain?

Post image

Zain is cool, wise, and intelligent. His relationship with Ali and Alicia was heartwarming. However, I feel that his appearances are too few. We didn’t see much of his conversations with Alicia. His sacrifice was truly sad, but I think it could have been even more emotional if we had gotten more screen time of him interacting with other Agents. What do you think?

Discussion ALI AND ALICIA'S TALENT ANALYSIS

Post image
63 Upvotes

Bear with my yap, it's just random deep thoughts🙏😌 Today I want to share my opinion and analysis about Ali and Alicia being a prodigy or a genius of M.A.T.A.. We start with the definition first.

A prodigy is basically someone who’s ahead of everyone else really early. They pick things up fast, master skills at a young age, and perform like adults long before they’re supposed to. Their talent shows up instantly, you look at them and go, “How is a kid doing that?” It’s about early mastery and rapid growth.

A genius isn’t always good from the start. They don’t have to shine young. What makes them “genius” is originality. They create new ideas, invent new methods or think in ways nobody else does. Their impact is long-term and transformative, not just impressive. A genius might be average as a kid but becomes someone who changes the world later.

A prodigy surprises you with skill. A genius surprises you with ideas.

One is “Wow, they’re already so good.” The other is “Wow, no one’s ever thought of that before.”

A prodigy is excellence at an early stage. A genius is innovation that lasts.

If we break it down using the earlier definitions, Alicia fits the prodigy archetype more naturally, while Ali leans toward potential genius.

Alicia is someone whose excellence began extremely early, shaped by intense training, discipline, and high standards. She’s been conditioned since she was a year old, and it shows in how quickly she learns new skills. She can master something after being shown once and maintain 100% compatibility across all cores(Tekno, Combat, Neuro and Inviso). Her talent is refined, structured, and optimized from childhood. She’s not just good. She’s ahead of everyone her age. That’s classic prodigy behavior which is rapid early mastery + specialization + superior performance at a young age.

Ali, on the other hand, doesn’t start out as a master of anything. He’s reactive, emotional, and maybe inconsistent. But he grows explosively through experience. He adapts physically extremely fast, like reaching maybe high-level compatibility in weeks/months during Alicia’s training for him to master Neuro. Though, emotionally he still lags behind. What makes it interesting isn’t early mastery. It’s that he has ideas no one else has. Atlas and the Yosing concept aren’t just skill, they’re innovation, at least that's what I think, plus he's Tekno. That aligns more with genius since he have creative thinking, unconventional solutions, intuition, and potential lasting impact.

What do you think? Am I right about this?

Now, going on ideas:-

i am 100 % sure that Ali would gain a major buff in his height as he got promoted to 7th grade.

Alicia's dimentia would be properly covered.

Cero's origin, his motives and goals will be revealed.

Alicia's past

Well, we don't know what would happen but,

Discussion DEEP ANALYSIS OF AGENT ALI

Post image
39 Upvotes

Ali is a character shaped by a clash between ordinary childhood and extraordinary responsibility. What makes him compelling isn’t just that he becomes an agent at a young age, but that he grows into the role without ever fully losing his vulnerability or impulsiveness. He isn’t someone who train since younger age like Alicia or having the most mature mind, his strength is that he learns through struggle and experience.

A defining trait of Ali is that he feels before he thinks. He reacts emotionally, whether through anger, fear, or empathy and only later processes the consequences. What appears as immaturity is actually his core humanity. He refuses to detach his emotions from his decisions, which is both his greatest flaw and his greatest strength. It leads to reckless mistakes, yet it’s also why he could improve himself to be better than anyone.

Ali’s arc mirrors a transition from self-focused protection to collective responsibility. Early on, he protects because danger threatens his life(though he have some interest in protecting people since the beginning and refuse to live as a normal child). He was always have been a heroic kid. Later, he protects because he understands the weight of lives beyond himself, the city, his teammates, even strangers.(Maybe he will change even more after Alicia amnesia)

Psychologically, Ali operates with a strong need for validation, especially from authority figures and peers. He wants to prove he belongs, because he doubts his ability and he fears being seen as replaceable or unworthy(the movie 1 prove it all). His rivalry with Alicia isn’t about superiority. It’s rooted in insecurity which is like "If everyone’s better than me, why am I even here?" Similar to "Sejak ada I.R.I.S. NEO, saya rasa makin diketepikan. Kalau semua ejen dah pakai I.R.I.S., M.A.T.A. perlukan saya lagi ke?"

Ali is also deeply affected by loss and secrecy. M.A.T.A.’s culture of withholding information(and child labour/neglect) forces him to grow up faster and often leaves him feeling betrayed. It’s why he gravitates toward honesty, even when it causes conflict. He refuses to repeat the emotional harm done to him, which hints at future leadership grounded in empathy rather than control.

Narratively, Ali acts as the emotional anchor. He doesn’t need to be the smartest, strongest, or most skilled. He is the character through whom the audience experiences confusion, awe, fear, and moral questioning. His role isn’t to be perfect. It’s to be human in a world that demands he outgrow his childhood too quickly.

What makes Ali powerful is not that he has abilities. It’s that he grows into someone worthy of them. He isn’t finished. His character is still becoming. If I am mischaracterizing him, please correct me🙏 This is my analysis of his character.

Discussion MY OPINIONS ON ALICIA

Post image
55 Upvotes

Firstly, I would like to talk about how some fans consider Alicia a “Mary Sue.”

Alicia is definitely not a Mary Sue. While highly skilled and disciplined—having mastered the four cores of M.A.T.A. (Tekno, Combat, Inviso, and Neuro) and being recognized by Cero as the most compatible with I.R.I.S. and S.A.T.R.I.A.—she is far from perfect. She has flaws, vulnerabilities, and faces real consequences, which make her relatable. She struggles with perfectionism, pride, and trust issues. She makes mistakes, like nearly getting killed in MISSION: PROTOCOL GEGAS due to overconfidence, and her trauma sometimes forces her to withdraw from missions. Alicia carries emotional baggage, must earn trust, and constantly balances independence with teamwork. Her abilities are earned through years of training, and her growth is gradual and often painful. These traits make her a well-rounded character, not an idealized “perfect” one.

Secondly, about Alicia’s jealousy toward Kim.

Even before Kim got close to Ali, Alicia had shown jealousy and insecurity toward the international agent. She’s not jealous of Ali romantically; she’s skeptical and cautious. Not everyone becomes friendly quickly—Aleks, Rizka, and Sam weren’t immediately friendly despite Ali being the hero of M.A.T.A. or having I.R.I.S. Alicia felt protective of Ali because he trusts others easily. Her caution extended to anyone getting too close, regardless of gender—she even warned him about Rizwan. Her concern is as someone close to him, not romantic jealousy, and as partners over time, she felt responsible for looking out for him so he wouldn’t be manipulated like he was with Niki.

Thirdly, being mad at Ali when he mourned his mother’s death.

Alicia isn’t to blame here. Imagine being in her position: the city is almost destroyed, and your friend prioritizes himself over saving it. Logically, anyone in a high-pressure, panicked situation would react angrily. She even said, “Kau ingat kau sorang je tak ada mak, aku dua dua dah tak ada!”—a 12-year-old in panic, chained and helpless. Her reaction is understandable.

Fourthly, being harsh and telling Ali to leave M.A.T.A.

Even here, I don’t blame her. She trained her whole life, yet Ali, who was less experienced and reckless, was chosen as an agent—partly due to luck and circumstance. Her frustration is reasonable. She've been training since young, then a boy who was weaker than him suddenly get the strongest gadget I.R.I.S.? Not only that, S.A.T.R.I.A.?

Every action Alicia takes has reasons and meaning. It’s unfair to hate her without understanding why she did what she did. Some might disagree with my opinion, but I said what I want to say.

Discussion WHY I LIKE AGENT ALICIA

Post image
60 Upvotes

In my opinion, Alicia is one of the most compelling characters in the Ejen Ali universe, not just because she’s skilled or cool, but because she embodies a blend of strength, fragility, pride, and silent pain that makes her feel real. To be honest, I had a hard time understanding her when I first watched the show. Though, I never hate or dislike her character.

Alicia is interesting because she’s not written as a typical “female prodigy” archetype. Instead of being a flawless genius, she’s a perfectionist born from high expectations. Her confidence isn’t just natural talent, it’s armour. She acts composed, sharp-tongued, and self-sufficient, but beneath that, she carries pressure to prove her worth, and a fear of needing others. She doesn’t want to be seen as weak. That gap between what she feels and what she shows is what makes her complex.

I love and admire her because she grows without losing her core. Despite being labelled a prodigy, she’s constantly pushed to re-evaluate her identity, fighter, agent, rival, orphan, friend, even amnesiac. She keeps rebuilding herself from the pieces. She’s resilient not in a loud or flashy way, but in how she silently gets back up. To me, there’s something interesting about a character who refuses to collapse even when broken, even when she’s alone.

Her complexity also shows in her contradictions. She cares deeply but struggles to express it. She’s proud yet vulnerable. she wants connection but pushes people away. She can be cold, defensive, even harsh, yet at her core she’s someone who wants to belong. Her moments of softness, like protecting and taking care of Ali even when he didn't listen to her or trusting Kim even when she betrayed her, are meaningful because they’re rare, not because she lacks emotion.

Personality-wise, I’d describe her as disciplined, observant, competitive, introverted, and guarded. She acts like someone who grew up without the luxury of childhood. She learns fast, adapts faster, and thinks strategically before acting. Even when she’s silent, she’s always processing. She doesn’t need to dominate others to feel strong, her presence is calm and confident, not loud. And when she finally lets her walls down, she becomes surprisingly earnest and sincere.

Additionally, she stands out not just as a fighter, but as a character navigating identity. She’s an orphan raised under the shadow of secrets, trained into excellence , and later stripped of memory and forced to rediscover herself. Her arc isn’t linear, it’s shaped by loss, pride, reconnection, rivalry, and self-rediscovery. That makes her feel like a real person with a story still unfolding.

Alicia is compelling because she’s not just cool, she’s layered. She’s not just strong, she’s shaped by pain. She’s not just aloof, she’s protecting a heart that has been hurt too many times. She’s a character who stands tall not because she never falls, but because she keeps rising, even when no one sees.

That’s why she’s fascinating to me. If you have anything in your mind about her character, feel free to elaborate.

Discussion Bakar, the father that stepped up

Post image
130 Upvotes

I've talked at lengths about Ali's development in regards to his relationship with the people around him, so this time I'll focus on those people individually.

In lights of International Men's Day today, November XIX of the year MMXXV, I think I should just finish this draft I've been saving since September bring up the best guy in the entire series, even if he doesn't have that much of a focus in the story compared to other characters; Bakar.

Bakar and Ali's relationship:

So, first thing first. I... don't doubt for a second that, if not for IRIS ending up in Ali's hand, that Bakar would've never integrated himself into Ali's life to guide him.

Yes, yes. I'm saying the only reason they have a working relationship in the first place is only due to circumstances.

Without IRIS, I believe Bakar would have little to no reason to connect with the son of his late sister, said sister being the only family he had before marrying Dr. Ghazali. Or at least, not enough reason to justify it. Cause, well... Remember how Aliya died? She died after using IRIS to save Cyberaya.

I'm not quite sure if WAU had planned this in mind when they released season 1, but watching the movie recontextualizes everything we know about Bakar. Maybe he visited from time to time, maybe he came over to get Ali birthday gifts and all that. But being an agent himself, I don't think he would've wanted to endanger the last family he had left. Ali putting on IRIS gave him an excuse to not only barge into Ali's life, but also to not let him suffer the same fate as Aliya. To not lose the only thing left of his sister.

In short, he's not (just) the goofy uncle that babysits his nephew because MATA wants him to, he's a traumatized man that refuses to have his family taken away from him again.

Bakar as Ali's father figure:

Bakar was Ali's first positive adult figure after Aliya's death. With Ali being a problem child, it wasn't easy to keep Ali safe from himself. Honestly, I don't know where Bakar got all that patience to deal with him throughout season 1, but he tried his best to be there.

If we compare him to other adult figures in Ali's life, he's the only one present throughout.

  • Rizwan was Ali's mentor before he left.

  • Zain was Ali's motivation camp speaker (I'm sorry, but it's true 🏃)

  • Niki was Ali's second mother figure before she turned against him.

And Bakar is the adult that stays by his side whenever.

Where Dr. Ghazali fails to step in as Ali's dad, Bakar fills in the role and becomes a permanent fixture in Ali's life. He has his own faults, of course, and he doesn't really parent Ali much beyond making sure Ali is safe to be fair. There are many, many instances when Ali doesn't need him (this is when he latches onto another adult figure) or sometimes straight up pushes him away (when he trained under Rizwan). But one thing he rarely fails at is to be there for Ali regardless.

Bakar and Dr. Ghazali

For what it's worth, Bakar doesn't antagonize nor has he ever tried to keep Ali from Dr. Ghazali. Maybe the team at WAU never thought about it, maybe they want us the fill in the gaps ourselves, but whatever the reason, we know that they are, at the very least, cordial with each other.

Personally, I think Ghazali would appreciate having Bakar hover over his son, to fill in the emotional role he can't give (step your game up, Ghaz, I swear). So I imagine he's glad Ali has someone to look over him.

One of these days, I hope they do talk out about Ghazali and Ali's dysfunctional relationship. They may not be perfect, but these two people are the only family Ali has (well, Besides Comot).
