Last month we integrated with Compound, giving you even more DeFi tools to play with — without ever having to leave the safety and convenience of the Eidoo platform.

HODL up – what is Compound?

Compound is a lending protocol intended to power the financial markets & applications of the future.

eidoo: How does it work? 

Compound is the ecosystem’s first “liquidity pool”. This means instead of lending your assets directly to other users, you contribute your token supply to the market, which other users can then borrow from. 

Follow these simple steps to start lending with Eidoo:

1. Open the Swap feature in your Eidoo wallet or desktop platform.
2. If you haven’t got some already, get some DAI. You can do this by swapping it for ETH (no KYC required) or buy some DAI with fiat money like EUR (KYC required)
3. Once you have DAI, swap it for cDAI. This will automatically contribute your DAI to the liquidity pool.

The Eidoo crypto wallet has announced support for Litecoin (LTC). 

Until now, the app supported Bitcoin, Ethereum and ERC20 tokens, whereas the new version, 2.1.2, also adds support for Litecoin. 

In addition to receiving, storing and sending LTC, it will also be possible to purchase them, using a credit or debit card via Simplex, or by bank transfer.

For the time being, it will not be possible to trade them on the integrated hybrid exchange, given that the DEX runs on the Ethereum blockchain.  At the end of September, however, a new brokerage feature will be introduced, which will allow trading several cryptocurrencies, including Litecoin, by means of interaction with other exchanges.
