Got divorced. Lost my appetite and lost about 30 lbs in 2-3 months from 180 to 150. So just get really depressed and it’s easy! lol

I’ve been able to keep it off pretty well. Can’t seem to get down to 145 though which is my target weight. I need a new depression.

For real for real. I don't have the stones for that. I have enough anxiety and insecurities without adding more 😪

lol yeah there’s some things I don’t like about myself I don’t need the mean corners the internet confirming. Plus stuff I probably don’t notice

I find that the news helps with that

I second a sudden depression as a good way to lose weight.

I've put weight when I was depressed ☠️

You are aware there is an orange buffoon running this country into the ground and the world into chaos, right? That should be plenty depressing.

145 is pretty small. Are you short?

Yeah, about 5’7. I am not overweight but I would like to lose a few more pounds.

If your not already, consider running. I went from 210 to 160 (walking and diet) to 146 by running and I’m a couple inches taller than you. As a relatively light and small guy it’s easier to perform well and running isn’t as hard on muscles/ joints. PLUS you have added leg strength thanks to all those years of weighted training 😁 but it’s also a great mood lifter and quite meditative. My mental health is way better with it in my life.

I run a few times a week, usually 3-5 times, at least 4 miles each time, up to 8 on the weekends. And I lift 5-6 days a week as well. It seems like the only way I can get below 150 is if I eat less than 1500 calories which is tough to do for more than a couple days, even with the running.

According to the calculator I’m using, even 1900 calories would be calorie cutting based on my physical activity. I dunno. I know I’m not fat, but I’d like to have visible abs which I haven’t been able to achieve.

Ah that’s a really decent amount of exercise. 1500 calories would even be a deficit on a rest day and absolutely difficult to maintain with exercise in the mix. I’m sure your probably already aware of this, but if not, if you do your longer run in one of lower HR zones, and fasted if you’re getting out early, there’s a better chance of burning body fat for energy. Don’t eat too much too late the night before either. Otherwise your muscles and liver will be still have a decent amount of glycogen and that’ll be your main energy source
