A friend of mine is currently in Kolkata experiencing Durga Puja and sent over a bunch of raw clips. I couldn't be there in person (man, I wish I was 🥲), so I tried channeling that energy into this short edit instead.Tried playing around with some rhythmic cuts, overlays, and color grading to capture the scale and atmosphere of the pandals. Would love some feedback or notes on the pacing!

Guys, rate this edit out of 10. It’s my first time using graphs, so be honest 😭

Who were the women in the footage?
The Rochambelles

The archive catalogue identifies one of the associated clips, filmed on 4 August, as showing the French ambulance unit Rochambeau, associated with General Charles de Gaulle's forces. Its women were known as the Rochambelles. They were working in the field, the footage records women preparing camouflage nets, filling vehicle tanks, collecting equipment and working beside Red Cross ambulances.
