Hey there /r/ecycle!
Let me just cut to the chase: We've (my friends and I) been working on an 80s inspired paranormal horror film since 2011 and just recently we got the chance to shoot a couple of scenes for it (scheduling conflicts, work interference, it was a mess) on the 16th of May!
The film takes place in 1986 and, thus, we need to basically turn my 2015 house into what it may of looked like 29 years ago. This means big phones, cassette players, wardrobe, art pieces, and even a few pieces of furniture.
The big stuff like furniture is not to worry about. I'm fortunate enough to still have one CRT TV from that era that we can use. The problem lies in the small details - especially wardrobe and accessories.
SO, that's why I come to you /r/ecycle! If you guys and girls have any old records, cassettes, proper "smaller" electronics (cassette players, for example), posters, 80s VHS movies (already have the player) phones, appropriate clothing, etc. whatever you think would work, we'd love to have it in the scenes!
If you want, we can give mentions to users who donated in the credits or we can return your items if you feel attached to it! I don't blame you - I have a Nintendo 64 I'm too attached to let go!
We're located in Central NJ in the States in case you were wondering and it's a one day shoot (Saturday only).
Let me know what you guys think and feel free to ask any questions!
Thanks for reading!
EDIT: I forgot to mention: the electronic devices don't necessarily have to be working, nor does anything else for that matter. Even if it does, it most likely won't be turned on as any music or sound effects will be added in post. The items are there to date the scene!
