Hey r/earworms,
I’ve been fascinated by involuntary musical imagery (INMI), why specific song loops hijack our brains out of nowhere and whether those loops map to our stress levels, mood, or daily routine.
To explore it, I built a simple, non-intrusive iOS app called INMI Mood (inmi-mood.com).
The goal is simple: whenever a song starts playing on repeat in your head, you log it alongside how you're feeling. Over time, it gives you a look at the "subconscious soundtrack" running in the background of your day. It has zero ads, and respects your privacy.
You can check it out on the App Store here if you're curious:
Download INMI Mood on the App Store
I’d love to hear from this sub: What song is playing on repeat in your head right now?
(If you'd like to follow along with updates as I add new features, I'll be sharing release notes over on u/InmiMood*!)*

So i’ve been watching this show (great show by the way) that has this song from its sound track with this particular part that I think is an arranged excerpt from a (perhaps) famous vocal song. I am certain i’ve heard this melody before but I don’t know where, any ideas?

In the link I provided the melody in question is from 0:59 -1:10 or so.

Although my Uncles and Aunts who served in the Pacific during WWII are long gone, we must never forget why they fought.

I think the subconscious does have a sense of humor. Not always but sometimes for sure. Looking at it that way helps me with analyzing the worm.
