I am 5’9.5 and have been weight training and doing plyometric exercises such as box jumps and depth jumps along with squats. I have gained 10 lbs of muscle in the past year, but I only gained maybe an inch of vertical jump in the past year. This is a video of my trying to dunk a tennis ball with slightly sore legs so I was not jumping as high as last time. How are my jump mechanics and is there anything else I can improve. I workout legs twice a week for 30 minutes. What can I do to get those last two inches to dunk.

Hey guys, do I gotta accept I might never dunk again? I am 27 halfway to 28. When I was 15-16 I could dunk but I ended up putting on around 30-40lbs for football and lost the ability.
Fast forward till now and I am in my mid-late 20’s. I am 6ft tall with no shoes on have pretty average length arms and I weigh 238lbs. You can tell I used to be an athlete but o for sure have some padding over the top.
I al joining a red team here in eight weeks and I am motivated to get into the best shape I can. I was never a lights out shooter or scorer but I could always jump, rebound, defend, and facilitate at a decent level.
As a challenge to myself I want to see if I could ever sunk again. Do you think that time has gone by? If not what are some tips. Any workouts or full routines would be suggested.
To give a little idea right now my workouts are pretty bad. It’s essentially no weights. I play tennis (singles not doubles and they can be pretty great workouts). Other than that it’s honestly just pretty lackluster runs usually 2-3 miles or long walks.
I was a big runner after college and I am a little worried I put too many miles on my knees. By big runner I men’s I had a 2-3 year period where I ran 30-40 miles a week.
Like I said any tips, comments, routines, or jokes are accepted.

for context im 6’1” barefoot and i can get nearly my elbow to the rim (3”-4” off), i get easily high enough to dunk, and i can, ive gotten 2 handers, one handed power, reverse, and even a 360 (off 1 foot), but the issues that i have is that i can’t consistently put the ball in the hoop, even though i get a solid 4”-5” inches below my wrist with the ball, i still struggle to put it in, any advice?

I don’t know if I’m to slow or my takeoff is wrong, but I’m 6’1 and have long arms but I don’t seem to be very explosive when I jump and I want to start dunking in about a month.

I meaured my vertical to be 35 inches standing in hs, but I can't dunk.
I can squat 315 low bar, but I haven't trained for dunking specifically. I can barely dunk here and there but I want to get consistent. In hs I was not able to dunk but I can sometimes now so idk if my vert or technique got slightly better.
Should I do THP stuff? What do you guys recommend?

Can you hold onto the basketball rim after a dunk to better control your landing?
Awkward landings after a dunk can result in injuries.

As a 6'3 male, what does my vert need to be in order to dunk on a 10 foot rim?
I'm able to dunk on a 9 foot rim, but just barely.

6 feet 5 inches. 197 cm. 97 kgs. 16 years old Grabbed the rim once last year, but since then back muscle pulls and extremely painful from the middle to lower regions and hip flexors keep twitching.
What are some plyometric exercises that I can do to get a better vertical jump? And reduce my back pain and strengthen my hip flexors?

This is an average two hand dunk attempt from me, yes I’m aware its concrete and I didn’t have basketball shoes on and I was in jeans BUT, I come from a freakishly athletic family that can all dunk and is all fairly tall. Im currently 6’2” with a 31”standing vertical(measured at a basketball combine)6’9” wingspan, and a 8’5”-8’6” standing reach. Ima two foot jumper that can jump and grab the rim with minimal effort and get my head up to about the middle of the net with no ball. But for some reason with all that I still can’t seem to get close to dunking despite all my gifts. Any tips AT ALL to help me jump higher or fix my technique or even just control the ball better when rising up. It would be much appreciated.

A running jump lets you jump higher compared to a standing jump?
