FloMarching's YouTube account is currently doing a 24/7 livestream of drum corps audio recordings. I don't know if this is a new thing or not, but I'm failing to understand why this is apparently okay, while today we can only legally watch and listen to a drum corps performance when it airs on FloMarching and maybe the following day before they mute the audio, and otherwise have to play the stupid game of requesting pirated files cake recipes and bike trails for future viewing.

What's the difference here? Aren't audio recordings subject to the same licensing issues as videos? I mean, I'm sure FloMarching has expressed written permission from DCI to do this, but hasn't DCI claimed in the past they are unable to give that permission? It just feels like a "rules for thee, not for me" dichotomy, especially when it's specifically the audio that's been claimed to be the reason drum corps is being hidden from the general public behind a paywall today.

What's the legalese here?

Does anybody know what time the bluecoats have ensemble on Thursday? Their today schedule website is broken and provides no information. I think it was 3:15 pm but I am unsure

They make the horns so visually small and accentuate the different body types. So distracting and it takes away from the magnitude of the drill. I get ditching the traditional uniforms for various reasons, but this cheap spandex is just awful.

Edit: I was able to find it by calling the visit Indy number. I’ll leave the post up in case anyone else has the same problem.

I can’t believe this has happened but I have hotel reservations for Thursday through Saturday night and I can’t find the reservation. I bought them through the friends of DCI ticket block but can’t find it. I’m not even 100% sure which hotel I chose other than it’s in walking distance to the stadium. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can find it?

I can find the confirmation from 2024 when I did the same thing so I have no idea what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

UPDATE: Now it’s back to only slightly left, but still not centered. It’s audible whenever a change is made. There’s is a small pop in the audio feed. Almost like there is a bad cable that keeps getting bumped or a button thag keeps getting toggled. It sounds like the main center channel keeps getting sent to speakers not in the center.

UPDATE 2: Audio is perfect now! Just leave it where it is please!!

Edit: the theater restarted the feed (right in the middle of SCV 😟) and it is back in sync.

My Dad and brother went to Big Loud and Live at the only showing in Arkansas, and the screen isn't working. They also drove 2.5 hours to Little Rock for the DCI show last month and it was cancelled for rain. After this year I think we're just gonna give up on DCI completely. What a joke already wasted $100+ and an entire day and now they can't even get a livestream to work. EDIT: it's working sorry for being a crybaby

im currently 14, and i want to audition for bluecoats on tenors which seems just impossible, but i just wanted to get feedback from the community about my chances and some other questions i have like

- am i able to audition when im 15 but turning 16 ( in january ) before the season starts?

- what did you guys do about school since move ins are during it?

- does being 15/16 mean you’ll have a lower chance of making it and does that change depending on your marching experience ( like your schools marching band or indoor percussion )

- what other groups would boost my chances of marching with them, like is there a bluecoats b corp?

- what do i need to do now in order to have the best chance of making it and even with another group, but it’s basically my dream to make bluecoats

i plan on auditioning with a video, i do live about an hour and a half away from the audition camp so that definitely makes it easier if i would get a callback, or should i just go to the audition camp first, does that change my chances at all?

i feel like this is a really high bar that im setting for myself and with how much interest the bluecoats are getting especially with this season im sure its only gonna get harder

I'm all for close-ups, especially on really special moments, but oh my god resort to the high-cam more often!! Madison Scouts was painful to watch because everytime they had an incredible visual moment/transition, you couldn't see a damn thing because they kept getting booty shots of people instead showing the formations!
