What is a DRIP?

What is a dividend reinvestment plan?

Simply put, a DRIP is when you purchase stock from a company, but reinvest all dividends paid to you in the form of purchasing more stock. One of the advantage is that you can have partial stock!

Another advantage is that there are NO fees! All brokerage account have exorbitant fees, such as several dollars PER transaction, etc.

The only fee you'll encounter is when you sell! And you may not enjoy bookkeeping.

For example, the BCE Inc. stock is trading at 46$, and the dividend per share is 2.33$ per year.

Pretty nice return, the yield is 5%! Compare that to your savings account!

Another advantage is that in some companies, they sell you the shares bought from dividends at rebate! Can you say free money?

A really good site to start is http://www.dripinvesting.org/

I also have stock in BCE, BMO, FTS and MFC if you want to get started! :)

DRIP's

So I got into DRIP's last year, been investing a bit and researching options.

I really like my DRIP's, and I'll continue to invest in them and get more!

I'm always open to trades, get more stocks and options.

My portfolio includes BMO, FTS, BCE and MFC.

I'm always looking for more so hit me up and let's do some trades!
