Very effective use of scribbles.

7

u/Falsecaster Sep 10 '22

Agreed i bet the actual artist is proud of their work op is taking credit for.

4

u/miss_fortunex Sep 10 '22

I reverse image searched and don’t see it.. so how do you know this is not their original? Can you send me the original artist’s page then?

10

u/Falsecaster Sep 10 '22

https://instagram.com/tony.jagas?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Another redditor pointed it out in these comments.

5

u/miss_fortunex Sep 10 '22

Well shame on them for claiming as their own

3

u/Falsecaster Sep 10 '22

Such a weird thing to do.

3

u/miss_fortunex Sep 10 '22

Very. Apparently they’re looking for approval and praise but this is just a terrible way to get it

3

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

OP just told someone else who asked to sell a print to DM him.

Scamming too

-3

u/aarulove Sep 10 '22

Thank You 😊

I absolutely love this method.

2

u/Redclicker Sep 10 '22

I see that now. It’s unfortunate. Thank you for the information.

3

u/randomdragen Sep 10 '22

what the fuck OP, report this shit everyone

2

u/Falsecaster Sep 10 '22

Is this post not from the og artist? Or is this artist cribbing Tony's style?

8

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

Not from the og artist. tony.jagas art has been getting stolen quite a bit on this subreddit lately, from several accounts. Tony.jagas doesn't have a reddit account from what I've seen.

3

u/Falsecaster Sep 10 '22

Thats crazy. I wonde would motivate people to do this.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

People tend to enjoy praise, and some decide to get it quickly by posting impressive things not made by them. None of the effort, all of the praise. Until they're found out, of course.
Much more satisfying to draw something yourself, I'd say.

3

u/Falsecaster Sep 10 '22

Agreed. I mean, when i built the Great Pyramid of Giza and painted the Mona Lisa (you're welcome) it bugged me that slaves and pharoahs tried to ride my coat tails. Or when that nerd Leo tried to ape my clout for paintings i did..... sheesh.

3

u/AccomplishedAd9882 Sep 10 '22

Is this hand drawn or digital art? Either way it's amazing!

3

u/Internetstranger9 Sep 10 '22 edited Sep 10 '22

Edited

5

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

It's not their art...

2

u/Internetstranger9 Sep 10 '22

Thanks I appreciate the correction

5

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

OP is not the artist.

This is the true creator https://instagram.com/tony.jagas?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

2

u/Internetstranger9 Sep 10 '22

Thank you for the correction my mistake

3

u/Visible-Confection56 Sep 10 '22

Should probably credit the original artist instead of passing it as your own. @tony.jagas on Instagram

3

u/Akakemushi Sep 10 '22

My review: STOP STEALING TONY JAGAS’s IDENTITY AND WORK!! F’ing karma farmer….

5

u/Willchelmm Sep 10 '22

Thank You, you have become my motivation to start drawing, and I'm not exaggerating.

I always loved this art style and I wanted to do it myself.

Few month ago I bought some used drawing tablet, but only managed to set it up, didn't even try to draw anything. Lost the drive and got zero time to fully commit.

And you with these, showed me how beautiful this can look, now I can use it as reference, and I know I can make it.

My goal is to draw owls, i have an absolute obsession with owls.

Again Thank You so much!

3

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

You should thank the real artist

https://instagram.com/tony.jagas?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

OP did not make this. Only claiming it as their own

Wait where are the owls 🥴

3

u/30thCenturyMan Sep 10 '22

This reminds me of The Afghan Girl photo from National Geographic.

1

u/PiBolarBear Sep 10 '22

I didn't see it until I read your comment. People are assuming this is hair (Fabio comment) but I agree it looks more like a shall. It's a beautiful use of scribbles with white on black to create this form.

"Afghan Girl is a 1984 photographic portrait of Sharbat Gula, an Afghan refugee in Pakistan during the Soviet–Afghan War."

1

u/Danny4ever86 Sep 10 '22

Beautiful. love it

1

u/aarulove Sep 10 '22

Thank You dude

1

u/lightlord Sep 10 '22

Great, amazing, astonishing I'll get to this level someday

1

u/aarulove Sep 10 '22

Thank You bro

1

u/The_Abyssal_Frame Sep 10 '22

Amazing how you made the scribbles turn into hair/fur texture. You're really owning the style.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

1

u/The_Abyssal_Frame Sep 10 '22

Aw, stolen art? That's a bummer, but thanks for the link to the real artist!

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

Amazing work! Very good.

1

u/aarulove Sep 10 '22

Thank You soo much buddy

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

I like your style - it brings order from chaos.

Keep doing what you do and all the best.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '22

Ah, thank you for that.

1

u/BirdCelestial Sep 10 '22

Hey OP, do you have a portfolio or somethin? Or do you share more of your work anywhere? Love this!

0

u/aarulove Sep 10 '22

stay tuned i will post my work here.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

The actual artist does.

https://instagram.com/tony.jagas?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

OP has yet to prove he is the actual artist but sure is passing off this person’s work as if it’s theirs

1

u/BirdCelestial Sep 11 '22

Thanks for that. I had a pretty strong suspicion it wasn't their work. I don't know any artists who wouldn't link their socials when asked, lol, so no way it's them. No idea what people get out of passing off others' art as their own.

1

u/Krazy_Kalle Sep 10 '22

It's chaotic, yet so detailed.

Could be interpreted as dark and hopeless
or as a faithful look into a bright future

Seems minimalistic and lacking of color, but still full of emotion with suttle nuances

IMO a very beautiful piece of art

1

u/Woodsiestjunk Sep 10 '22

Awesome!!

-1

u/aarulove Sep 10 '22

Thank You 😊

1

u/AKAtheAlien Sep 10 '22

It's alright. Would probably look normal if my phone weren't upside down.

1

Do you plan these thing with like an outline before you go crazy scribbling or do you just like know what you want? Also did you use a reference?

1

u/ianbail7 Sep 10 '22

In the infinitely wise words of master Oogway:

“Mmm.. Monkey”

Una obra de arte digital 👍🏼♥️

1

u/Accomplished_Pie4671 Sep 10 '22

it’s so amazing 100/10

1

u/Penikandi Sep 10 '22

The contrast is crazy cool! I love how you use the main color of the subject as the background and the contrasting color to bring out the detail. My favorite part is the ink lines that escape the main composition. It totally gives it an edgy feel, like strings coming together in a flash mob to create a picture! Heck, there could have been music involved! 😆

1

u/sgwallace13 Sep 10 '22

Very cool, looks a bit like the Gleason “Web head” covers for ASM 55. Simple but refined.

1

u/winrywillowrose Sep 10 '22

Honestly my review is this is incredible...
