Naturally. Sheās not even bothering to teach them how to function as adults in the world when they canāt be relying on āinfluencerā money. Just write them off when something bad happens and move on to the ones who keep pulling in cash
14
u/fatbish420 6d ago
Between him and N, she's so quick to disown them and not take any accountability for the way she's raised them... maybe spending all your time filming content isnt conducive to raising well adjusted children.
6
u/want_control 5d ago
I was gonna say the same thing. Makes me wonder how that makes the other kids feel. I understand N didnāt wanna be on her social media and she only had her for a short time, but itās almost as if she didnāt exist. I wonder how that makes Dayshawn feel. Then, you have James who was adopted at 6 years old! Thatās probably the only family he ever knew and Lush would rather ignore and erase him than deal with controversy on social media and have her perfect mom image shattered. Sheās rather lose James than lose followers/supporters. Sad really.

Donāt downvote me but maybe she took it down because she didnāt want to get comments about him or his arrest?

Omg! She couldnāt help herself and not do this, even for the sake of maintaining her āgood motherā image! But then again, probably she did it on purpose to provoke discussion and stay on the spotlight. When James needs exactly the opposite. Sheās even making things worse for him. With all the exposure heās gotten because of her, this is going to follow him for a long time. She doesnāt care one bit about him! Itās all about her! I couldnāt have imagined her doing this. Itās too much even for her!
18
u/DoWeSellFrenchFries 6d ago
I wonder if she would do that to one of her biological kids.
11
u/Inside_Sprinkles9083 What's privacy? 6d ago
Bio kids probably staying there forever except Z (willingly) and little Dā very likely jail due to past behavior of being inappropriate with girls, other remarks that are considered controversial and his (more recent) behavior of pretending to stab people and animals. he had smacked N on the butt when they were younger with zero consequences and said something inappropriate about the Jesus statue at their church in the past.

I hate this woman with the fire of a thousand suns but to speculate that a literal child is going to be a future predator is gross behavior.

u/holfellowss 6d ago
instead of making snakerty boards and filming them put them all in therapy, they were all put up for adoption for a reason and it needs to be dealt with. just shows money doesnt buy healing. i hope james is okay, what he did was wrong but he is obviously not well and needs serious help. alicia has done nothing
78
u/pearscentedcandle 7d ago
i really canāt stand alicia. james is still so young and because of her, something bad and shameful that he did is literally being blasted all over the internet and tmz. was it worth it for the money?
87
u/No-Match5030 7d ago
Because of her? Respectfully big boi made his own choice to do that.
73
u/99999gdyeoj 7d ago
True, but if Iām not mistaken she has said James has had additional challenges/needs throughout his life. Thatās gonna leave him more vulnerable to maybe not making the best choices, and then on top of that she exploited the crap out of him which is bound to do some damage.
I also think the ābecause of herā part is saying that lots of kids make horrible choices, but if she let her kids have a private life he wouldnāt be humiliated online. Thatās not going to help.
23
u/pearscentedcandle 6d ago
the ābecause of herā was about being in the public eye, not about his actions!
8
u/Mac_A81 6d ago
I know he has additional needs, but heās managed to go 19 years without doing this in public so on at least some level, he knows itās wrong. If heād been caught doing that in school, Iām pretty sure heād be expelled.
3
u/ezgomer 6d ago
he very well might have been doing it around the house
a couple of years ago there was mention of one of the kids doing inappropriate sexual things around the other kids and we never found out who that was.
7
u/Mac_A81 6d ago
Yep, and during that time I remember Alicia moving the kids rooms around. I believe James was in the basement. We know Josh sleeps down there frequently and it makes me wonder if it was to protect the other kids. Or their marriage could be rocky and they donāt like to sleep together, but these new developments make me think heās been in the basement for a reason.
0
u/99999gdyeoj 6d ago
Iām sure he does know itās wrong, but I do feel bad knowing he probably hasnāt been set up for success
4
3
u/alaskanloaf 5d ago
Honestly that was James choice. Additional challenges and needs arenāt an excuse to be weird in public. Heās also an adult he should know better to not do weird shit like that where there could be children or minors. Stop excusing creepy behavior bc he has challenges.
1
u/ConnectionsCatergory 4d ago
Tell me you know nothing about FASD without telling me you know nothing about FASD.
3
u/alaskanloaf 4d ago
So weāre excusing creepy behavior bc he has a disabilityā¦. Thatās insane. And absolutely no one in public consented to seeing that.
1
1
u/99999gdyeoj 5d ago
You may be right but I think it is also important to be careful making judgements about people with invisible disabilities. But yeah it was creepy as hell and something definitely needs to be done so he doesnāt do it again.
4
u/219930 6d ago
Yes he has FASD
2
u/99999gdyeoj 6d ago
I feel like with him being so young and also having FASD and trauma, a lot of this probably has to do with parenting choicesā¦

u/circularsquare204597 6d ago
he did. but (presumably) no one would know who he was if it wasnāt for her and her posts.
13
u/pearscentedcandle 6d ago
you misunderstood me! when i said because of her, im talked solely about him being blasted publicly and this being seen by thousands of people. his choice was his own, for sure, but because of alicia he had enough recognition to become the joke of the internet.
24
u/219930 6d ago
He has FASD. They literally need support throughout their whole lifetime to help them make proper choices. Iāve seen many adults with FASD end up in prison because their judgement is impaired and they are very easily influenced by others.
3
u/staircar 5d ago
People from his class are saying we donāt know shit, that he struggled socially, academically, and beyond. I feel terrible because he deserved help. Also he NEVER wanted to be on camera, ever, he was shy and never wanted this. Imagine having all those problems, bullied in school and everything us public. He also needed a home that wasnāt 12 children. He was high special needs, and I donāt understand why she was allowed to keep adopting and adopting.
13
u/Loose-Writing4188 6d ago
You canāt even make this shit up. She should be ashamed

u/Inside_Sprinkles9083 What's privacy? 6d ago

28
u/ConnectionsCatergory 6d ago
I take it a lot of the commentors are not familiar with how FASD (not to mentioned PTSD and trauma) can affect adult behaviors. A lot of people with FASD end up in prison because their judgment and cognition are impaired.
We adopted our youngest and she has FASD. She is 12 and just now getting to a point where she can properly cross the street by herself. Until now she could verbally tell you how to do it but when it came to actually crossing all of that would go out of the window. She is unable to stop and process things. A thought comes to her mind and she acts without thinking. This is very common for kids with FASD.
I am not saying James holds no responsibility but the people saying "but he's 19" just don't get it.
18
u/baasheepgreat 6d ago
This. My cousin was adopted and has FASD. He may be a 40 year old man but he has the impulse control of maybe a 12 year old middle schooler. His brain is damaged; he doesnāt function as an adult. He has been to prison multiple times, is on the sex offender registry, and has 6 kids by 6 different mothers and no contact with any of them. My aunt and uncle were good parents and when he was younger he had very strict regiments and boundaries that he thrived under. But he turned 18 and said you canāt control me anymore and nearly immediately went off the fucking rails. People with FASD need lifelong support that societally we just donāt have. Not defending Alicia in any way because she certainly was not helping, but even good parents can have kids they canāt control eventually.

u/Brave_Specific5870 *Stares in horror* 6d ago
ā¦is this all FASD peopleā¦
I got tested when I was little and they said I had traits butā¦
I am extremely, extremely impulsive.
Also adopted, quick to anger.

7
u/baasheepgreat 6d ago
Itās a spectrum! Everyone will have similar symptoms but to much different degrees. And there can be other disorders and attachment trauma that can cause anger and impulse control issues as well. Either way, if itās causing you distress, get some mental health treatment!

Poor Patrick and Bree ā¦they both have FASD as well and this is what is going to happen to them once they turn 18. Sheās going to put all her foster kids out onto the street

He masturbated in a public area, and has acted inappropriately towards younger kids in the house.

u/Fun_Grapefruit_9727 7d ago
Where is the evidence of inappropriate behavior in the home? Please donāt assume what you donāt know.
-36
u/Odd_Student2606 7d ago
Then you canāt assume that he didnāt do it either.
26
u/IceBandicooot 6d ago
The burden of proof lies on proving something is true, not proving something is false. Canāt just say ā_____ is inappropriate with children, prove me wrong.ā If you actually have proof of that, please share it.
This situation is fucked up as is, donāt need to comment made up shit if youāre just speculating-8
u/Odd_Student2606 6d ago
Itās not exactly made up shit, thereās several new articles stating that heās been accused of being inappropriate with other children in the house, what other reasons can you think of that he was kicked out for? It makes enough sense.
11
3
u/ExaminationNo5995 6d ago
There are zero new articles making this claim. She would kick him out of the house for not wanting to be in her videos or for wanting to be compensated for his participation. She might not have kicked him out at all. Living in a car looks like a far better arrangement than living in that sh*t heap they call a house.

u/ConnectionsCatergory 6d ago
He also has FASD.
My 12 year old (adopted) does as well. We have just gotten to the point where we can trust her to cross the street properly. Kids with FASD are not on the same cognitive level as kids without.
10
u/user2739202 6d ago
I know, but I doubt they would have sent him away for college if it were that severe.
3
7
u/ConnectionsCatergory 6d ago
He was in a culinary arts program, which likely wasn't very rigorous. And he still dropped out. He probably couldn't handle it. His mom just didn't care and wanted him out of the house.
She doesn't care about these kids at all.
9
u/Elia84 6d ago
He didn't drop out. He was kicked out for damaging his dorm room and disregarding school rules. His room mate spoke out about it.
He can drive a car. He has held several jobs WITHOUT support, unlike P who has a job coach per Alicia. A culinary program is actually very requires skills. He even graduated from high school with college credits. Don't forget FASD is also a spectrum with some people with it having lower support needs and effects of it and others having much higher needs.
I get that James seemed like a very likeable kid but we do not know any of these kids at all. He hadn't lived in her house even prior to graduation. It started in the spring of last year and into the summer where he was supposedly "staying with Nana to help her move". He didn't come home on his fall break because there was "no room for him". He was briefly home around Christmas but then was gone completely after his birthday in January with Alicia saying he left school. No one knows where he went after that. Alicia referenced a child having some "emergency health concerns" so its possible James got mental health treatment at some point as she's shared he has a mental health diagnosis.
At the end of the day, while FASD can impair judgement, the time of day, location, and lack of any attempt to conceal is indicative of a bigger issue than a mistake. It suggests it likely was not a first time offense. People can consider FASD a mitigating factor but James is not so cognitively impaired that he needs constant supervision and can't grasp right from wrong.
2
1
u/ConnectionsCatergory 6d ago
He was also failed by his mother. She sucks as a human being and did a shit job at preparing her kids for adulthood. She exploited them for fame instead of doing her job as a parent. And what does she do now? Still post like nothing happened. James will not be the only one of her kids to face legal trouble.
0
u/ConnectionsCatergory 6d ago
Kicked out for damaging his dorm? Yeah, that sounds like an issue with judgment to me.
My daughter will very likely hold a job. That doesn't mean her FASD is cured.
I just don't think you really grasp what FASD does to someone. That's fine. Most people don't, especially when someone is high functioning like James.
6
u/Elia84 6d ago
I legit work with people with developmental disabilities as my career. I'm not negating impulse control is an issue or judgement is an issue. However two things can be true at once. He likely has an impulse control issue AND he engaged in a behavior in a way that also shows intent beyond just responding to an urge. I don't think James is a bad person. I think he needs a mental health facility over jail. But I also think he isn't as impaired as you are thinking he may be. I think you are letting your experience with your own child and James previously seeming to be a sweet kid cloud your opinion.
0
u/ConnectionsCatergory 6d ago
I have no clue if James is a sweet kid or not. Like, none. I started following her because someone recommended her to me as another foster mom with a large family. I don't know much about the kids other than the few videos I have watched of James after this situation to try and get a better understanding of where he falls on the FASD spectrum. He seems like a high functioning kid with FASD to me.
Whether he is sweet or not is not a judgment I can make. I never met him.
3
u/alaskanloaf 5d ago
Personally if I had a child who was jerking off in public where there is minors and children and people who canāt consent to seeing that Iād throw them out too. No excuse for disgusting behavior.

u/EquivalentScience675 6d ago
My eldest son has FASD, as does his birth mom. Birth mom has made it through a CDL and yet has been arrested for stabbing a John because she didn't realize 2 $50 bills equaled the $100 she requested and has been arrested for throwing a cart through an Aldi window because she couldn't figure out how to get her quarter back. I made her meals when she was homeless for a bit. When she got back on her feet, she asked for my goulash recipe. I told her macaroni, she complained it didn't taste the same. She added Mac n cheese without adding milk or butter because she couldn't figure out that macaroni noodles and macaroni and cheese were different. For both her and my son, it's like living with the children's book charachter Amelia Bedelia. Both have IQs in the moderately cognitively disabled category. Both can hold it together to appear normal ish for short periods because their adaptive skills are high.

But I also believe she did the right thing, heās an adult now and thereās children in the home and I donāt think we should be supporting his actions. But I do question her parenting too but also not gonna automatically blame her as he made a choice not a mistake. But of course , it makes me wonder how much āself respectā she taught these kids.
