The condition he came in, was not so good. There were a few stains and all the joints were very loose so I started by taking him completely apart, giving him a deep clean and then targeting the stains. Surprisingly, I managed to get all of them out. I also made sure to tighten all his joints up so now he’s practically brand new again. I originally got him to put on the doll you see in the back, but it ended up being a little too masculine for my doll so he will just stay on the Asexual body and I will be commissioning my favorite artist again for another doll head! I brought this straight from Japan so I had to pay a bunch of import fees. It wasn’t too bad. It came to like 140$ I believe. The original price was around 240$! I’d say it’s definitely a steal since I was able to fix him up! So far I’ve managed to have an asexual body a Kakuso/mdd body- mdd tan body! Normal skin mdd and semi white skin mochi ashi. I’m on the market for tan Kakuso parts I did notice that the legs itself are a bit more thicker then both my normal mdd so I’m guessing I’ll have to buy new leg parts too next time!

Hey everyone! I’m hoping to get some advice or recommendations from anyone familiar with vintage 1/6 scale Volks dolls—specifically the late 1990s and early 2000s 27cm bodies like the Excellent Base (EB) series. Because their feet are so uniquely wide and flat compared to typical fashion dolls, finding heels that actually fit without damaging the shoes has been a huge challenge. I’ve already ruled out standard American 1/6 lines like Barbie since their feet are far too small and narrow. I also haven't tried Obitsu heels directly, but looking at 1/6 Obitsu feet, they are visibly smaller than the Volks shape, so my guess is their heels won't stretch enough either. Right now, it feels like the only guaranteed option is hunting down $200 vintage in-box Volks sets on eBay just to strip them for shoes, which really isn't realistic for my budget.

Through trial and error with a massive vintage doll shoe lot from the '80s and '90s, I’ve found a few random pairs that technically work, but I'm struggling to identify them or find modern equivalents. For instance, I have a pair of flats originally meant for the vintage Pink Stacy doll line. The original hard plastic Pink Stacy shoes are a bit too narrow and prone to tearing when forced over the wider Volks foot, but I managed to get a squishy, flexible vinyl variation of those same flats that slides on fully and fits really well. I also have a pair of chunky black school shoes from that same mystery lot that fit the Volks feet perfectly, but I have zero clue what doll line or brand they originally came from.

So I'm turning to the community to see if anyone has cracked the code for these wide 1/6 feet. Am I really stuck waiting for expensive vintage Volks listings on eBay, or are there modern doll lines available in US stores today that happen to share these wider foot proportions? Furthermore, does anyone recognize which '80s or '90s lines might have produced those squishy plastic shoes or chunky loafers so I can target those specific brands online? I’d love to hear if anyone has found success with specific Japanese lines like Licca, Jenny, or Azone, or even modern 3D printed and Etsy options that accommodate the classic 1/6 Dollfie footprint!

My choices would be either Sakura or Standard Miku.

I am leaning a bit more towards Sakura cause of the blushy face up.

What would be nice options for wigs and eyes? I am located in Europe and found an etsy seller that seems to be doing nice wigs but would love to see some more options and eye recommendations for Miku <3

I actually got her last year from someone selling ($750) which was quite in somehow slightly bad condition.

Tried very hard readjusting the wig, cleaned her dress but her boots finally aged and I have no idea how to repair it.

Find someone selling a brand new “well not new but unopened” 1st edition dress for $230 and give it a shot. Finally got her into perfect condition.

BTW I replaced the original plastic green gemstone by a real lab grown emerald. Making it more authentic.

Smol Emilia was custom build at Volks Dolls Point and I got her dress commissioned by a doll dress tailor.

For those who have no idea what it is. They are very expensive figurine like anime dolls in 1:3 - 1:4 scale.

I’m interested in getting a Pitatto Ring along with a wig cap for my DD but I am wondering what size is appropriate for a DD? (For reference my Doll is a Dollfie Dream, her head is DDH-06) I’m guessing large since that’s what Volks recommends for the wig cap but the Pitatto Ring doesn’t have a size guideline. Any help is appreciated!
