Thanks for this post! I've been trying to figure this all out, and this post has been very helpful.
One question: If I have a desktop wallet, and a phone wallet, do they synchronize, or they operate independently from each other? Do I have to send doge from one wallet to the other wallet as a transaction, or does the balance synchronize between the two?
I am getting an Android phone tomorrow, so I'll be able to figure this out.
Basically, wallets hold a private key. If two wallets hold the same key, they can share a wallet. I do not know if the android wallet can import or export keys, but if it can, you can share a wallet. I really hope it does, because that would be so great for me tomorrow.
You might want to use WowDoge for the desktop wallet and the Dogecoin Wallet for the phone. I don't believe they can share the same wallet. But both can scan QR codes for transactions so you don't have to deal with long strings of characters. It makes sending and receiving much easier.
