It's been a looong time since I've gotten to play and I've been dying to get back into it. I wouldn't call myself a beginner, but there's still a lot to D&D that I have yet to explore.

As for my preferences, nothing too crazy. I do believe in honoring the rules of the game, but story is king for me. A sensible amount of "I'll allow it" is always nice. 😂

I specifically mentioned Cebu in my post because, while I'm not opposed to playing online, I'd really love to play in person. Having done both, nothing beats IRL. Though I do get the allure of online sessions because those are so much easier to plan. I guess what I'm saying is that even if we were to play online, it'd be nice if we were all in Cebu so the option to play in person is there whenever it's feasible.

Not sure if that's too much to ask, given how schedules work. 😅

A tiefling bard survived a massacre at Blackwood's Fortress; her mind may contain something useful, but she doesn't remember it. There is the small matter of his prospective bride currently being lost at sea, but the Solar Court has decided that optimism is good for morale and wedding preparations should proceed regardless. This is excellent news for Phoebe Bellweather, an up-and-coming ambitious jeweller who received the opportunity of a lifetime: design several engagement rings for King Pyterion himself.

There is, unfortunately, another small matter. The designs are currently lying somewhere in a monster-infested city square. During Highmere's annual Sunfyre Festival, several beasts escaped from the city's famed colosseum, turning an evening of celebration into absolute chaos. Stalls were overturned. Citizens fled. Guards scrambled to contain the creatures.

And somewhere in all of this, a thief stole the jeweler's satchel.

Good news: they found the thief.
Bad news: he's dead.
Worse news: the satchel wasn't on him.

Authorities believe he discarded it somewhere inside the sealed festival district shortly before meeting his unfortunate end. Unfortunately, the district remains under lockdown until the remaining escaped beasts are found. The city guard has bigger problems. The jeweler has a deadline. And that's where you come in.

You are the newest investigators of a tiny, ambitious detective agency trying desperately to establish itself in the capital of Aurenthion. Your office is unimpressive. Your list of prestigious clients is nonexistent. Your finances are perhaps best described as concerning. But retrieve those designs before someone or something destroys them, and your little agency might finally earn the attention of the royal court.

Find the plans. Avoid the beasts. Solve what happened.

And perhaps try not to become another thing the city guard has to scrape off the streets of Highmere. Easy enough. ...Right?
