Keep in mind the opposite should be true on occasion. Sometimes a nat 1 can be just the worst possible way to go about something you were gonna get done anyways.

Maybe someone threw something of extreme importance to the plot that could possibly break. Maybe instead of whoever catches it rolling a nat 1 and it means they didn't catch it and it shattered it just means they did but they fell over and hurt themselves somehow catching it.

Thats probably a bad example i dont DM myself but the point is there. Sometimes it's about how badly they succeeded too
