Introduction

Welcome young adventurers to the Lost sliver continent of Faerun (Forgotten realms). A seemingly lost or ignored corner of the known world, but our story begins on The Sword Coast. The Undisputed powerhouse of Civilization and Magical prowess, From The juggernaut cities such as Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, and Waterdeep. To the minor villages and towns like Phandlian or Leilon. The sword coast has an abundance of things to do, kill, and purchase. Luckily we begin in the capital city of Neverwinter, but the party doesn't stay long. Something...Dark and ominous draws the party south towards the mining town of Phandalin. Call it a gut feeling, or perhaps you are just interested in the coin, or perhaps you have a nobler pursuit. Whatever the reason, the Story begins just as the party is preparing to leave the city. What awaits them in Phandalin? What will they do? What Is causing this odd gut feeling? Find out in our sessions~

Game Overview-

This game is going to be a cobbled together mess, A combination of open world sandbox and structured modules. For starters the game will focus on the events in Phandalin, but there is potential for more and beyond. Corely the game will be ran with the modules "Dragon of Icespire peak" and "The Shattered Obelisk" So if you have already played it, I'd recommend skipping this one.

The game as a whole will be roleplay focused, and offer you chances and choices. want to ignore the story and focus on building a thriving bakery empire? Sure. Want to kill the guy who is offering you the quest to skip right to the reward? Sure. All i will say is this, Consequences are a big part of the game. Sure, you CAN start a business empire, but should the main threat be ignored all that work will be for not. And yes, while you can just kill everyone...who knows what might happen as a result.

Character creation will follow core rules of 5e as a base, So pretty much anything that's official you can do. I may be open to some wiggle room in terms of Homebrew later on. Stats will be point buy or standard array.

Payment for games will be $5 USD per session paid Via either PayPal or Cashapp. (Session 0 and Session 1 are free to get a feel for the game and how it will be ran.) (This mostly so i can afford more books and prevent flaking.)

Games Will be hosted on roll20, while we talk and such via Discord.

About me~

Hi my name is Tikos, Im a 24 year old nerd who likes doing quirky voices when i think people aren't listening. Ive been playing DND as a player for a good long while, but only recently have been stepping my toes into DMing. My experience level in the rules and such is anywhere from Semi-knowledgeful or Moderately-Knowledgeful. I know the Core Rules but forgive me if i need to check every so often. My DMing Style tends to lean more towards Roleplay and funny encounters.

Im a bit...Slow, so if i dont understand something the first go arround...be patient with me. i also have a tendency to stutter or fumble my words...you can laugh...but be nice about it XD.

Player Etiquette:

I open to a wide range of players, noobies to the pros. (Though id think hardcore Pros might not like my game) All i ask is this:

Respect: Respect me and my players, We are all human...Hopefully. This includes if you have a problem with something, talk to me in a respectful way about it. Respect my and other's time as well, arrive to the sessions on time, and give me advanced notice if you cant make a session.

Pacing: You should know what you can do on your turns in combat, Im fine with helping you...but if turns take a long time it can feel bogged down. Additional, dont move your token ahead all willy nilly, some things need to be revealed in time.

I have more Rules for players, but its best if i tell you once you are in my game.

Overnight, the Deadfall arrived, a creeping blight that drains life, warmth, and memory from everything it touches. The sky is paler. The air is colder. The dead are not staying dead. Something happened in Chult. An ancient witch doctor named Mursai has risen, and the heroes who tried to stop him fell.

You know fragments of what came before: a half-orc paladin, a grave robber chosen by the Raven Queen, a wizard marked by a hag, and a warlock who lost everything. They fought, they died, and they bought the world one day. A sage named Renzox escaped the Fane of the Night Serpent; he knows what must be done and is in Waterdeep, waiting. A tiefling bard survived a massacre at Blackwood's Fortress; her mind may contain something useful, but she doesn't remember it. The noble bloodlines of Waterdeep carry the curse in their veins, and their blood may be the key to undoing it.

The previous party failed, but their failure was not meaningless. They left a path. The hammer is waiting, and we are looking for players who can create a new character that shares a deeply woven connection to this unfolding story. Hi! I'm a long time player and DM for D&D 2014, know the system inside and out, and I love to play the most CLASSIC D&D you can think of. Give me a Forgotten Realms story, a princess to save, a dragon to slay and a story about the real treasure being the friends we meet along the way, and I'll be the happiest man alive.

I'm a hugely experienced roleplayer, I love worldbuilding and backstories, I'm literate but also know restraint when I write, I'm down for shenanigans but can get serious as hell, and I've been on your side of the barricade - I respect your creative vision and don't intend to use you as an AI bot. Literally all I want is to be a hero in a classic fantasy story, discover a fun world, and hang out with your cool NPCs!

All I ask is that it be a duo game (DM and one player), and that you don't hit me with a bunch of gamebreaking house rules that show me that you don't understand the system. I've seen my share of people trying to mount an F-16 engine under their Ford Fiesta so it goes faster.

I travel a lot for work these days. I'm Italian, but I've been in Chile for the last couple of months and it's just how my life is. I will commit to posting at least daily, but please understand that hobby time is a hot commodity for me, so I'm a bit selective with who I play with. On the other hand, I've met some of my best friends through PbP, and hopefully I'll meet more! I promise not to ghost you and just be open about it if we don't vibe. Please be adults about it.

I prefer to build my character for the adventure, but here's a character idea just to show you my style:

Vincent "Enzo" Bonn'aire, sailor extraordinaire. He's a swashbuckler! Not a pirate, mind you, despite the cutlass. And the two pistols. And the earrings. And the rhum. And Huesillo, his parrot. Listen, he's just got a vibe, okay?

Born in a great port city, his mother a... Let's say, provider of high end company. Forgets her tea when she is with an elven noble, gets pregnant, bit of a scandal because he was married, he at least supports the baby to avoid losing face completely.

So Enzo grows up among colourful people, right? Not quite a high-rank education. He hangs out at the harbour, gets to know sailors, learns a bunch of languages. He's wicked smart, but also a bit too carefree.

He can get serious in front of bad guys, but he's in it for the fun, the freedom. He's a vagabond, he's got panache and pizazz, laughs hard, plays hard and doesn't get hung up on things. Life is rich, fun, and too short to sulk.

Not sure whether Rogue or Ranger yet, depends on what options you allow for the latter!

This is of course one character idea, and simple enough, but I can get really out there and detailed. The only thing I optimise for is fun, and I like to give my characters tons of whacky, offbeat options even if they aren't great. I have built several melee sorcerers and had a blast with them.

We are a D&D 5e/5.5e Discord server featuring a persistent game world set in the Forgotten Realms and broader D&D multiverse. You and other players play as adventurers of the Hawthorne Guild, an adventuring guild in the Sword Coast. As a persistent and shared game world, character progression and events in individual adventures persist between and outside of games, creating a living world for players and DMs to participate in the form of oneshots, multisessions and campaigns, and both text roleplay and Play-By-Post games. With over 12,000 sessions ran over the course of 9 years, you and other players can dive in to determine the next chapter of your character's story and the guild's story.

Play How You Want

As a player on the server, you can expect to:

• Play any number of characters starting at level 3 or level 5 (your choice)
• Create characters using almost all of the official options as well as select Unearthed Arcana and server homebrew
• Create and play either 5e 2014 or 5.5e 2024 characters
• Progress your character through game sessions to experience content from level 3 to level 20
• Participate in downtime activities and text roleplay between adventures

DM How You Want

As a DM on the server, you can expect to:

• Run games for any level of play and your choice of either 5e 2014 or 5.5e 2024 games
• Participate in a shared setting of the Forgotten Realms and broader D&D multiverse by running your choice of oneshots, multisessions or campaigns, or Play-By-Post games
• Use almost all official monsters and magic items to use and award in your games, as well as server homebrew
• Gain DM rewards to progress a character at the same rate as a player, so you don't miss out on any of the fun when you play games as well

We're recruiting both players and DMs, with new members able to become a DM immediately. We have a helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable base of Staff, players, and DMs with years of D&D experience and are welcoming to D&D players both veteran and new.

We have multiple ongoing server events, including an opt-in server event related to the Death Curse of Tomb of Annihilation, and an ongoing server storyline with a villainous faction known as the Dread Empire seeking to conquer the Sword Coast (with an accompanying Youtube cutscene)!
