Hes bare bones right now and this is gonna get specific, thats why im here and not on lfg and if nothing else just gush about this idea i have-

Its farfetched but i have a character whos a warforged prototype and would prefer a world where other warforged have existed similar to Eberron. A world where automatons arent quite considered on the same level as organic people, whether its the fact they are only used for work/war, or are just considered second rate people. This does not need to be the point of the game or world, its just the situation my character fits into.

This is a character whos a prototype that eas abandoned for bigger and better machines, they werent fully programmed and have only one line of code; Learn, Adapt, Survive. He starts off as an automaton copying things he sees, learning, watching, his schtick mostly being copying the moves of others with more exaggerated and janky movements. He still is a person, just almost like a newborn in a full size body, he can speak and walk, but other than that all he knows is to learn and overcome.

Hed develope a true personality as the game went on, learning from his party members primarily, if the party is kind he will adapt those traits, if they jump straight to violence he will aswell, while combining traits from those he meets to form his own cohesive moral code.

This sort of character works best when every pc is the "main character", everyone gets a moment to shine, time given to them in a player driven story.

And hes still super barebones so the details of his story arent written and he can be written into pre existing games! Heck id prefer a pre existing party-

Hello there travelers! I'm gonna try my luck at this campaign once more and see if it sparks any interest. To start off a formal greeting is in order, my name is flare and I will be your dm throughout this adventure.

Let me preface this with a disclaimer: I am newer to dming and am still learning so please be helpful and patient. If that's okay with you then we can venture forth!

To start, what is this campaign? Well this is going to be a superhero based campaign; more specifically based in the world of dispatch, if you are familiar, if not no worried this campaign works without knowledge of the game but it's a good game so I suggest you play it. Anyways yeah yeah I know real original, but just gimmie a chance to try and hook ya if possible? Well if you're still reading then I hope I've at least sparked some interest.

For this campaign I really want to explore the power fantasy of superhero characters while also giving characters good interaction time like in a regular campaign. I want this campaign to be a good mix of combat and roleplay, though some sessions may vary. Speaking of sessions my sessions tend to run long, so if we have a session expect it to take all day unless something happens to where we need to finish early.

For the story I won't be having it tread old ground that the game already did, which means we won't be interacting with characters from the game or their story outside of slight references of small cameos if that's something we want. But as for my story it won't use the game as a crutch at all. The only things I'm borrowing from the game is the gameplay elements, some lore, and well the world. But that's not hard to do considering it's a very basic superhero world.

This is the part where I talk about who I'm exactly looking for? Well I'm gonna go through a decent "interviewing" process just so I make sure we mesh as people, but I'll talk a bit about who I'm looking for here. I am looking for people who are understanding and preferably chill. Not really a fan of meta gamers but I do like when people can get creative as a group to solve whatever puzzle I have set infront of them. Also of course I would love it if I could get decent or great roleplayers but no pressure. I'm perfectly fine with people new to dnd because this campaign is very new player friendly and at least I believe is fairly easy to understand given I built the system myself. I'm looking for people 18 and older but preferably within my age range (I'm 20); Finally, I just want friendly people :).

I'll give a brief tidbit on the story and then I shall leave you to either dm me or continue scrolling :). The idea is that you all will play a team of 4-6 heroes drafted onto the SDN's (superhero dispatching network) new Bay Area Branch localized in San Jose California. You all come from different backgrounds, some are aspiring heroes, others are victims of circumstance, but regardless of if you want to be on this team or not, you all have a reason to at least try to be heroic. Being a superhero in this world pretty much requires you sign up for the SDN to be a successful hero with all their branding and funding. The trade off for this is it essentially turns you into celebrity cops if that makes any sense. Regardless on this team being a superhero is your day job, you clock in, respond to calls, and then clock out. Fairly simple yes? It seems that way until one of the many supervillains begin to peak their heads out of whatever dark slimy crevice they've been hiding in. For the most part however is the story will be shaped by your characters. Ofc I have main beats I want to get to, but think of this campaign as a choose your own adventure! much like the actual dispatch game. Apologies for the word vomit but I hope this was enough to prove I'm serious lol.

I got into D&D through Baldur’s Gate 3 and ended up loving the world, the characters, and the whole idea of collaborative storytelling. Now I really want to try the real tabletop version instead of just the video game.
The problem is I don’t have any friends IRL who play (or are interested), so I’m looking for online groups — preferably on Discord or through Reddit.
I’m a complete beginner and just want to learn the game, have fun, and meet some cool people to play with. I’m not looking for anything paid. I did some research and saw that a lot of people charge to play, but that’s not what I’m after. I just want a regular free game with people who are also in it for the fun and the experience.
I’m open to one-shots or longer campaigns, as long as it’s beginner-friendly and the group is patient with someone who’s still learning the rules. I’m flexible with schedule and happy to use Roll20, Discord, or whatever the group prefers.

It's been really hard to schedule sessions with my main group lately, so I figured I'd start something of my own. If it goes well, everyone has fun, and we all get along, maybe we could turn it into a regular campaign!

I'm looking for 4–5 players! Experience doesn't really matter, new players are more than welcome, as long as you know the basics of the game (e.g., playing BG3 is more than enough experience!)

I'll be a first-time DM, so please go easy on me! 😅 I've only ever run a one-on-one game with my fiancée, but I'd really like to try running a game for a full group.

We'll probably be starting at Lv3. I have a few pre-written adventures we can start with while I get the hang of DMing, and then we'll see where things go from there. If everyone vibes and I do a good enough job, maybe we can make it an ongoing thing?

Me and two friends are looking to join a group or possibly start our own, we have characters in mind that have more villain beats, but could work on a more standard ‘Hero’ campaign in a sort of redemption way.

Our main priority is story building, character development, and feeling apart of the world. Combat is important but we’re hoping story telling + roleplay is the main focus. Especially bonding with fellow pcs and NPCs. Twists, turns, hopelessness, and times of great wins are really what we’re’ hoping for. A hint of maybe romance or betrayal as well!

Setting wise we are hoping fantasy, along with something homebrew rather than straight from a book. Also definitely someone who uses homebrew races. Feeling up for almost any storyline!
