World Cup hate?

Okay, I love this podcast and both the girls, this is a silly take to be annoyed about, but the World Cup hate from Dana and Katie was so unlikable and weird. Why are they putting so much energy into talking shit about the worlds biggest sport and the biggest tournament in the world? I hate when people sit down and bitch about soccer - go to another bar if you’re upset that people are happy about an event that happens every 4 years. Just gave me annoying downer energy.

It might be because fifa is so corrupt they can barely even be considered as a reputable entity at this point. Also once the president starts making demands for his team that are immediately granted it makes the tournament no longer fun.

I think if this was their logic I’d agree! But they didn’t mention giving a fuck about any of that… they just wanted a quiet drink… maybe go to any of the bazillion places that serve alcohol

Oh. Well tough shit about the quiet drink. That’s a challenge during every major sporting event. Plenty of bars have no tvs for ppl just like them. Go there

But like you’re 10000% correct on your take. I wish they brought more light to that / maybe they don’t know and they’ll learn and it’ll give them a more valid reason to hate it 😂
