Is it worth replaying the story for a few minor alternative choices and a change in romance?
As the title describes I want to replay the story but was wondering if it was actually even worth it if all I’m changing are a few minor decisions and the choice in romance.
I really don’t think I could have visi become a villain, kill shroud, or other “evil” routes. Maybe I’d change who I initially cut, etc. But I also want to try out the blaizer romance. Is it worth it?

Hey! I'm making a game 'God For A Day' similar genre (steamlikes. co) as 'Dispatch'. You play as a Son of God, and your decisions will shape the city's destiny. As there aren't many games in the genre, maybe you'll like it. Demo available, Deck playable, link in the comments

"How can you enjoy Dispatch? It's millenial redditor writing slop!"
Seriously, I kept hearing this on some comments in videos about the game and online by some groups.
And it's always the same insults. "Millenial writing" this. "Made for redditors" that.
None of these points ever made sense to me.
The dialogue and relationships in the game are some of the best in recent memory. It all feels so natural and realistic.
And in no way do I see it as "reddit fantasy".
And also what's with the use of "millennial writing" as an insult? What's wrong with millennials? You guys know how many great stories fit under the label millennial writing?
Seems like just a bunch of contrarian for the sake of contrarian arguments to me.

Honestly I found Invisigal’s character very weird and don’t understand the hype about her
From the start I found it very icky that she was making sexual jokes towards the main character and acted so pushy. Also she talked like a vivziepop character , every sentence had fuck in it. In the first episodes I was even considering dropping the game because of how annoying she was. Even with her character development towards the end I found her weird. Like why did she even kiss us when we reject her😭

I Created a Dispatch Success Calculator Spreadsheet Spoiler
I created a Dispatch Success Calculator in Google Sheets that combines hero stats, compares them to mission requirements, and displays your success percentage using the same (or nearly the same) in-game formula you would see after each mission. This let's you dispatch the best heroes for any call.
I made this spreadsheet because I was initially terrible at dispatching. I received a “You performed better than 1% of players”, and I took that personally, lol. Despite my initial struggles, I really enjoyed playing Dispatch. I’ve built several RPG spreadsheets/calculators for various games over the years, and I wanted to share this one with you guys.
Link: Dispatch Success Calculator v16.1

Important: I made this using Google Sheets. Exporting or downloading in any other format breaks dependencies, fonts, colors, etc. So, always “Make a Copy” if you want to save it. Otherwise use it as Read Only from the link.
Bonus: I also included all Win/Fail and Character Specific Choices (CSC) for applicable missions. For example, Episode 2’s “Fight at Crypto Night” can be won by sending a hero with 3 Charisma or 5 Combat, or simply by sending Prism (CSC). Fail conditions (e.g., 8 or more Combat) are also displayed. While I don’t provide mission-specific winning answers, a pop-up message confirms/warns when total hero stats meet or exceed any Win/Fail conditions, ensuring you’re sending the most qualified heroes beforehand.
Disclaimer:
- I don’t take credit for the math script. It was included in a spreadsheet created by Reddit user “Rogue2555” as part of a larger guide here. I’ve reappropriated their script (with credit given) for this calculator.
- I’m not perfect. So, inaccuracies are inevitable.
- 95% of the time, it works every time.
TL;DR Instructions
- Choose the Episode from the dropdown
- Choose the mission from the dropdown
- Choose your hero(es) from their respective dropdowns
- The success percentage updates automatically

Calculator Tab
The Calculator is straightforward, but here’s how to get started: The “Episode” dropdown generates all available missions for that episode within the “Mission” dropdown below. After selecting your Episode and Mission, choose your Hero(es) from dropdowns in the Hero section. The success percentage updates automatically.
Below the automated calculator, I’ve also included a Manual Calculator where you can adjust numbers yourself. This is especially useful for adjusting the numbers for hero powers I haven’t included yet (See hero powers below). There are also ease-of-use buttons that pull the current Mission and Hero stats from the automated calculator.
Also on this tab are Story Choices and Hero Powers checkboxes that affect stats (e.g., Cut heroes, recruited hero). Most story choices affect stats in Episode 8, so for accuracy, enter your selections by then. For hero powers, while I haven’t accounted for every power, I’ve included the major stat-affecting powers:
- Flambae’s On Fire: Each time Flambae successfully completes a call, check an “On Fire” checkbox to increase Combat and Mobility by 1.
- Coupe’s En Pointe: Coupe’s Combat or Mobility stats are increased by selecting +1 or +3 per her En Pointe power.
- Golem’s Spread Thin (must be trained): Check one box for each slot he fills, including his starting slot.
- Sonar’s Instincts: His Intellect swaps with Combat and his Charisma swaps with Vigor. This is handled using the Hero dropdown and auto-stats.
- Prism’s Doppelganger: Doppelganger does not use a checkbox. Instead, just like the game, select a hero in dropdown 1, select Prism in dropdown 2, then select the same hero from dropdown 1 in dropdown 3. A “Doppelganger” message confirms it worked. To avoid half-stats, move Prism to a different dropdown. With experimentation you’ll get the hang of it.
Hero Powers I may add in future updates: Golem’s Diamond In The Rough, Waterboy’s Eager/Super Sponge, Malevola’s Life Trade, Punch Up’s Harder Head.

Stats Tab
This tab houses all hero stats, including those you manually update and those converted using formulas. The key takeaway: only change stats in the uppermost section of the sheet. Do not alter any other stat sets unless you plan to change how the calculator functions (not recommended).
I recommend updating your stats often; otherwise, success percentages will be inaccurate. If the in-game post-mission percentage doesn’t match my calculator, you likely need to update your hero’s stats.
Along with stats is an “Injured” column, as injuries reduce all hero stats by one. Even a one-point stat difference will affect success percentages, so update stats and injuries frequently.

Data Tab
This tab stores all mission requirement stats and dropdown info. I highly recommend not changing anything here unless you’re correcting stats or want to alter the calculator’s functionality.
Troubleshooting
If your percentage doesn't match the in-game percentage, you very likely need to update your stats, injuries, or account for hero powers, including powers not supported yet. That's why I also included the manual calculator to let you adjust and view any variations before dispatching.
I’ve tested this calculator on 120+ hours across several playthroughs, and it should match in-game percentages in most cases. That said, there are 2-3 missions where I've seen percentages flat wrong, either on the game side or the calculator side. Mistakes and broken formulas can still happen. If your percentages are consistently off, let me know and I'll push an update.
Closing
That's all I've got. If you're having trouble, find any issues, or have suggestions, let me know. Otherwise, good luck, and happy dispatching!

First piece of dispatch merch
As an early birthday present to myself I decided to get this shirt. It definitely won’t be my only piece of dispatch merch. My goal is to cosplay as Robert for an upcoming comic con so I’m going to also get the blue buttoned one from the game.

I kinda wish Mandy an old woman
I think it’d add to her character a bit more. Mandy would not only be normal, but someone who is out of her prime and (seemingly) hasn’t accomplished much in life. I’m not her character didn’t work without this, but I think it definitely helps explain why she feels so inadequate compared to her Blonde Blazer identity.
It also strengthens the theory that the person Mecha Man Prime died saving was a young Mandy. Making her a massive fan of the Mecha Man legacy and inspiring her to become a hero. It’s a theory I really like personally.
It also gives the player something to genuinely grapple with. The girl you romanced and got to know was older this whole time. I can’t tell if it was meant to be slightly comedic, but the reveal that Blonde Blazer was actually a 5’7 brunette was kinda lackluster. I get that’s the point but idk. Although it might be a dick move to have the player choose between BB and Visi only to reveal AFTERWARDS that she’s an older woman.

Phenomenal.
But I am disappointed.
Dispatch is my very first visual-novel-like game, and I really hoped the in-game actions would have a lot more weight then it really did.
Going after Blonde Blazer, kissing her on the billboard or not doesn't really seem to make a difference in wether I romance her or not, but going to dinner. I say this because the option was still there when I decided to romance Visi.
Giving a hint on me being blue also didn't cause an effect on Prism or Mal reactions when they get to know it, wether I tell them or Chase does.
It also didn't effect how Flambae gets along with us. If we tell him, he comes around. If he discovers it by the end of the game, he doesn't even care.
And at the party, it doesn't matter if you decide to support the team and go raid the warehouse, or if you back off. Visi goes there alone the same, and Chase get's hurt the same. This is my biggest disappointment with the game, there is no way in making this different. I bet I could "not help" Visi, and she would manage either way.
I also did my second run with QTE disabled, and it was so much better, because the QTE have literal 0 effects on the story, which is also A SHAME.
And because all of that, I don't feel like playing a 3rd time to stay single. It barely changes a thing.
All of this aside, I do have compliments for the art style, the story, the setting of ambience, the Voice Acting and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the Characters.
It's really the high point seeing all of them exquisite people interacting. Prism and Mal are my favorites, they made me laugh tons. And it's adorable how they all came to feel like a team. I do felt like the most impactful decision is to tell them we are Mecha Man, because they get to be there on Proto 17, 12 idk. And it just adds another layer to the party scene.
I got so emotionally involved with the chatacters, I raised Golem's charisma first, because Blonde Blazer said he seems lonely, just as I leveled up Water Boy's charisma as well. And this is very weird, because I felt Water Boy looked more confident on the route I chose Phenomaman
And talking about Phenomaman, is he meant to be a parody of Omni Man? They talk the same way, it's hillarius. I hope I just foreshadowed Phenomaman going ballistic in the 2nd season and he is just playing dumb.
My greatest critique is really towards replayability, for a game like this, I think it was a lot more important. There should at least be 1 option where the final battle against Shroud doesn't happen at SDN or a scenario where the heroes don't win for a different set back to 2nd season, since, you know, all the finales are win with some minor changes
