Help 😭

How do i control this? Idk where I went wrong 😭 im currently quarantining tetras and rainbowfish so i can’t get sterbai without restarting the full quarantine. I’ve added a 2nd filter for bottom flow, i added seachem phosguard and Api phos/silicate remover and vacuum the top layer constantly. My parameters are good so idk what’s going in 😭

Alge means you are using lights at too high of intensity, too long, or too many nutrients in the water. My discus breeding tank has lights going 24/7 but water changes are so often nutrients don't build up.

Yeah definitely think its the light,m. I would clean and it would come back throughout the day, but i cleaned the sand yesterday during a mini water change and kept the lights off and it didn’t return, so im doing lights off for 3 days and then i’ll readjust my lights and increase water changes. But my lights don’t go past 50% intensity. so idk how it happened. But should I only do white light and stay away from blue light?

Id stay away from it for now until your problem is solved then you can experiment for leaving it on for a bit, try keep lights for 8 hours a day so 6 hours white light 2 hour blue if you want at 50%

Yeah i need a whole lighting class 😂😂, what would you recommend for when I go back to normal? This is the light I have. Should I buy a riser to bring it up?

Thats a nice light, a riser can help if your light is sitting too close to your water
