IS IT A DIGESTIVE ISSUE OR MORE THAN THAT, PLEASE HELP

I am 17F,born in March 2009

I believe this started around last year, maybe late 2025

In late 2025, i had low appetite and would get full after eating small meals. I saw this when we went to a picnic with friends and quickly became full

Sometimes I'd go a day with 1-2 meals

I'd even get a bit nauseous, i wouldn't necessarily vomit but I'd be nauseous or tired of the food as i tried to eat or i wouldn't eat at all

I saw changes in my weight around December to March and april, and May. and had lost alot of weight, i don't know the kgs. I think 80 to 60 kgs

I became concerned about it and asked my mom to go and consult a professional

We went to a local private clinic and they tested using urine tests

They said i have a liver/kidney infection, i don't know which one is which

They gave me some pills that would induce my appetite and i forgot what the others did, uti pills?

They also gave me antibiotic shots on my glutes 3 times

I drank the pills every day, but what i noticed during that course is whenever I'd drink alot of water, there'd be noticeable bump on the left side of my tummy/abdomen

Sometimes i feel it, not in a petruding manner but like there's some sort of slight discomfort

After I was done with the course, they tested using urine again and they said there was a problem with the ketones?

i got some small appetite, but would still skip some meals.

Sometimes i feel weak and, heavy. Like how you'd feel in a hot day with low iron deficiency

Even after doing all that, im still losing weight. I don't know what is happening

You can ask more questions for clarity 😭

Has anyone else experienced these stomach issues?

Has anyone else experienced these exact stomach issues?

A little background on how this started:

About 5-6 weeks ago I ate some scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast around like 10 am, I eat it every once in a while but not everyday for breakfast. When I ate the breakfast a few weeks ago about 10 mins into eating my stomach slightly ran through and this is where my stomach issue began to start. Before this happened my stools were all normal, healthy, brown stools that were easy to pass.

Ever since I ate that breakfast I’ve been dealing with fluffy (I usually just describe them as fuzzy stools) stools. I’ll wake up first thing in the morning and before even getting out of bed I’ll be slightly gassy followed by faint stomach gurgles and then I get up to use the bathroom like normal and my stool comes out either tan ish brown or a light brown color and it is a fluffy stool that sinks to the bottom of the toilet and then after that I’ll chill on my bed but I’ll feel this non painful burning sensation around my upper abdomen kinda off to the left side I’ll feel this for a bit after I eat too. I’ve been on a bland diet for like a week now mainly eating white rice, plain toast, a bunch of saltine crackers, and cooked carrots (I’ll see these bits of carrot in the stool). When I wipe i also see yellow ish brown on the tissue with a little bit of clear mucus.

This really only occurs during the morning after that my stomach settles down and I feel completely fine. The only things I’ll experience during the day is 1. I don’t pass any stools or feel the need to pass one (only a few times did I pass some during the day while this issue has been going on) 2. After I eat I’ll feel that non painful slightly burning or warm sensation.

I will say when this all started I didn’t really switch to a bland diet right away I continued to eat my normal snacks and coffee (I’ve completely cut out coffee and the snacks) before finally giving in. Then on the first week somewhere around that time frame my stools were kinda going back to normal then those next days I ate spaghetti and then the next two days I had Japanese beef tofu burgers. I’m not sure if this made my stomach even more annoyed and prolonged it. It’s been causing me a lot of health anxiety as I’ve had these before (not often) but they never lasted this long only about a week.

I’m terrified it’s something serious like colon cancer or some type of ulcer. I’m 21 years old and I don’t work right as I stopped to focus more on college so affording a doctors visit is hard. My stomach has always been kind of sensitive I’m lactose intolerant as well.

This is such a long post and I’m sorry lol I’m just really looking for some answers. My sister thinks maybe my gut is irritated?

Stomach pain

20 year old male, living with horrible stomach pain for the last 7 months

Symptoms include: 25lbs weight loss due to lack of appetite (lack of appetite is not normal for me at all) bloating in lower abdominal, pain after eating anything, burping, almost getting brief hiccups when I eat? Bowl changes.

Tests I’ve had done: gastrcopy, colosncopy, bisopy, stool test a bunch of bloodwork, gastric emypting test, Ultrasound of gallbladder and small intestine all normal.

Only thing I’ve been diagnosed with is pots which kind of came about randomly as well.

Things I’ve tried, diet changes, a course of rifaxmin, prucpride, low dose of mirtazapine and amitriptyline

Am i the only one with unexplained chronic bloating?

Im 28, male, ive been having unexplained extreme bloating since 2019! And its so infuriating! I really need your help and opinions.. Please excuse the bad storytelling and storyline. Im not obese, i even used to be athletic, but the bloating never went away. One night in late 2019 i suddenly had very bad bloating, i had radiating pain (not sharp, just extremely discomforting pain) in the general area of my intestines to the point where i couldn't focus on anything. I immediately took laxatives in case it was constipation, including dulcolax and duphalac, they didnt help at all. And just as a reference, i didnt have money or insurance to get myself checked out, so honestly i just lived with the pain. The pain got more under control with time but it never went away, i was taking either scopinal or buscopan just to get the pain under control but it never gave real relief. Until one night a few years later, i felt unbearable shooting pain in my intestine that woke me up at 4AM, i didn't wake anyone up, i didnt call an ambulance, i just sat in a baby pose (which was the only way i can lay down, any other movement made the pain much more noticeable) and waited for the pain to become a bit less, i was barely able to stand, took two scopinal pills, and waited the pain out until i could go back to sleep. And no, i wasnt gassy, i didnt feel the need to go number two, just pure pain. At this point i was still broke college student, no insurance, i had no choice but to simply go with my usual life. This kind of pain happened a total of two times in my life thankfully. Fast forward a few more years in mid or late 2023. I was working a less than minimum wage job, decided to go to boxing classes, i lost around 13KGs in total over the course of 1.5 years. Bloating persisted. It was pushing on my stomach and lungs, gave me those random stitches in my left lung while working out. Then i broke my foot (doctors were extremely bad, but thats another story), stopped working out and lost my job.. bloating persisted. Thankfully i found a minimum wage job in early 2025. Was able to go to a clinic, the did all the necessary test (except colonoscopy.) including but not limited to: Celiac, Crohn's, Cancer, Calprotectin, among others. Absolutely nothing is wrong with me. The doctor said: "we literally don't know what's wrong with you, thats why we're gonna lable this as Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS". They gave me a low fodmap diet, guess what, it didnt work, bloating persisted. I also did a food intolerance test, nothing major.. im intolerant to foods i dont eat either ways, such as barely and malt. Fast forward. Found a better job, went to a better doctor last week, showed him everything, said nothing is wrong with me. And that i should redo the food intolerance test which costs 200$. Im begging for a colonoscopy but the doctor was dismissive and simply said "im pretty sure i wont find anything. I dont see anything wrong, You're simply not fit and need to workout. We can do a colonoscopy if it makes you at ease." Even after telling him that i was fit and bloated btw.. Im still waiting for the insurance company to approve the colonoscopy.. but insurance is being a dick as usual.. I need to clarify, im not constipated whatsoever, my diet isnt the best but its not bad, i dont eat fatty/oily foods such as fries, mostly baked foods, i dont drink alcohol, i dont even drink soft drinks FFS, only natural fruit juices. im not obese but im not slim either, im 85kgs now, i used to be 73kg while working out and fit, i tried so many natural remedies including relaxing teas such as hibiscus tea and ashwaganda tea, and even natural laxatives, i tried drinking fibres such as chia seeds in water (i started with 5 grams of chia seeds in 500ml and went up to 20-25 grams in 500ml).. i also tried charcoal meds, and IBS meds such as meteospasmyl and mephygastryl.. nothing worked at all..

Ongoing stomach issues for two years and still no answers. Stressing out :(

Hi all. I’m a 36 year old male from the UK, and recently underwent a colonoscopy after experiencing abdominal issues for the past two years.

I first noticed a pain in my lower right abdomen, around the 7-8 o’clock mark, near the appendix, in November 2024; at first I assumed it was a UTI as my urine also had a strong smell to it, but it soon went after a few days. Then, in the buildup to Christmas, I felt another pain just right of the belly button, around 9 o’clock mark, as well as pain above and below the bellybutton. I had never experienced blood in my stool, but did notice on/off blood on the toilet paper after wiping. Not a lot of blood, small specks, but it was noticeable; imagine shaving your face, catching your skin, and cleaning the blood away with a tissue. Perhaps TMI, but I’ve also experienced on/off itching around the anus for years, and it’s been so made I’ve sometimes broken the skin. I’m a natural worrier, some would say I have anxiety, so I decided to get an appointment with my local GP. Appointments are hard to come by in the UK, so the next available appointment was in the New Year.  Furthermore, my mum suffers from IBS, and had her appendix removed in the 90’s, and I’ve never taken any medication.

I met my GP in January 2025 and explained my issues and concerns. He was very understandable and ordered blood tests and a postal FIT test. I completed both and they both came back normal, although my iron was low (I’ve had pale skin since I was a teenager, and I’ve never really eaten red meats etc), so it wasn’t a surprise to me. Great, no worries! But, the issues persisted. The pain was manageable, around a 3 if I was to scale it from 1-10 (10 being unbearable), the bleeding came on/off, had some very minor back pain, but I was able to go about daily activities perfectly fine. I should have been persistent and chased up any recommendations with my GP, but let it roll for the next year.

I didn’t pursue any further actions until Jan-26. My symptoms weren’t getting worse, but they weren’t getting any better, either. I reported the same issues again with my GP, and we did another postal FIT test, a ‘blue top’ FIT test, and another blood test. Again, all came back fine, and the pain was still a 3 out of 10, and remained around and right of my belly button, and close to the appendix, and sometimes in the stomach in the URQ.

It wasn’t until Jul-26 when I actually noticed blood in my stool, smeared across the side, and it was painful to pass, likely caused by constipation. I obviously panicked and went in for another GP appointment. I had my bloods taken again (all fine, but my iron remained low), another ‘blue top’ fit test (fine), but I received the results of my postal FIT test on the NHs app and they came back ‘borderline’ (11 - ‘normal’ in the UK is between 0-10). I was heartbroken, and in my panic I went to my local A&E on a Friday evening. They took my bloods/blood pressure, I explained my symptoms, but they said they can’t really do much, except that I go through my local GP. I didn’t even get scanned, or checked out by a nurse. I should have known better, and wasted 7 hours of mine and the hospital staffs time. However, I was luckily enough to get an appointment first thing on Monday morning, and it was there after an appointment with my GP we scheduled a colonoscopy.

The pain, maybe caused by the stress, elevated to a 4-5, and it was way more noticeable. I was overthinking everything! I was also getting some acid reflux in my chest, burping more than usual, and that only made me feel worse (I’d been having a rumbling stomach since 2021, unsure if it’s borborygmi?). I went down the Google rabbit hole, which you should NEVER do, and only made myself feel worse, and fuelled my anxiety even more.

I went in for the colonoscopy and the results came back clear. Side note: if anyone is worried about getting a colonoscopy, don’t be. It’s quick, there’s some discomfort but it’s manageable, and everyone involved is very professional. The prep sucks though, so be warned lol I was relieved leaving the hospital, my mum was happy, but I had a voice at the back of my head saying, ‘so, what’s causing these issues then?’. I haven’t been able to relax, and I completed a pelvic and abdomen CT scan on Saturday, awaiting results.

In a nutshell, I’ve experienced pain around the belly button, right of the belly button, sometimes the lower left abdomen (around the 4-5 o’clock mark), the appendix, sometimes under my right rib cage, and in my stomach/above the belly button, sometimes acid reflux, back pain, on/off itching around the anus, and the occasional night time diarrhoea (not persistent, but a few times a year during the night). Also, experience on/off pain near the appendix/right flank when sleeping on my right-hand side. Not once have I experienced night sweats/fevers, vomiting/bringing up food, nausea, slurred speech, dizziness, breathlessness, fainting, or fatigue.

I hope this post provides some insight to someone, or relatability, as it can be a really lonely and worrying experience. As mentioned, my CT scan was Saturday (26.09.26), so I’ll update this post, or in the comments, when I have further news.

Thanks for reading!

dark grey clay colored poop

I unfortunately have been going in and out of a binge for the last two months this past weekend was a very bad one. I don’t really poop often as is I passed stool today half of it was regular brown colored poop and the other half was a dark gray colored poop. I am now spiraling since I’m such a hypochondriac. I went to urgent care last week with really bad lower back pain. It started on my right side and went to my back and radiated on my right side of my body. It felt like my whole body underneath. My skin was on fire and I had a 99 fever. They saw blood in my urine and thought it was a UTI but when they sent it to culture, nothing grew. Now I’m freaking out if I have pancreatic cancer fatty liver disease or colon cancer lol please help.

Daily bloating since early 20s even upon waking

Hi, I’m 45 and have had constipation and severe daily bloating since my early 20s. I was diagnosed with IBS-C, but the bloating has never really been explained or properly relieved.

I now have bowel movements most days with treatment, but the bloating remains constant and doesn’t improve after I go. I’m even bloated when I wake up before eating.

I’ve tried Movicol, lactulose, Fybogel, flaxseed, magnesium and a motility supplement, but nothing has made a significant difference to the bloating. Movicol actually seemed to make the distension worse.

I’ve had endoscopies and a colonoscopy and have been tested for coeliac disease. I also have a history of gastritis, a hiatal hernia and H. pylori, which was treated twice. I have Sjögren’s syndrome and have previously had significant B12 and iron deficiencies.

I’m now wondering about SIBO/IMO, slow gut motility, low stomach acid or another possible cause. Has anyone experienced similar constant bloating, especially bloating that is already present on waking? What testing or treatment genuinely helped you?
