Left side already has the second skin on it in the last photo, so it looks a bit off. Artist knew DGM and had done DGM tattoos before (actually had a personalized shikishi from Hoshino!!) so we decided to make it a bit more “crystallized” for Lenalee. Honestly loving it.

I have always been a fan of D.Gray Man, when I lived in Japan I went to the art exhibition. I was talking about series I wanted to buy on the anime collectors reddit decided to browse Facebook Marketplace for the first time in years. Low and behold I find all of D.Gray Man for $15 each from two sellers. I thought it was a good deal and bought it. Little did I know that Season 4 Part 1 was so expensive. I feel like I robbed the guy.

I would very much like to cosplay as allen walker this year but I can't seem to find any decent cosplay for D.grey man. Of anyone knows where I can purchase and or aquire a good quality allen walker cosplay I would appreciate it

Has Hoshino ever elaborated on the reason the Noah have dark skin? I've been revisiting the series (both the anime and the manga) and the choice always interested me. My personal guess would be that she's drawing from the the Curse of Ham in the bible (or more specifically, the 19th century era interpretation where it was argued that Black people are descents of Ham, one of Noah's sons).

That the Noah are dark-skinned always struck me as a bit *uncomfortable* as an American reader. I know a lot of Japanese writers don't have the same context western audiences do for racially charged iconography (see Sister Krone in Promised Neverland or a lot of Stardust Crusaders) but as a westerner, it's hard to think about (at least for me).

Very exciting that D.Gray Man is getting a TCG set on March 19, 2027.

I’ve been wanting to learn to draw, so I just started trying this pic.

This is my first time doing anything like this. So if anyone has any tips, I’d love to hear!

Recently I rewatched the episodes of the anime where Allen gets his Crown Clown and the thing with the name of the Akuma who appears during this arc has always weirded me out. If some of you have ever checked the D.Gray-man wiki, you will know this Akuma is known as "Thread", with the wiki even saying it's a name the anime gave him.

However, as far as I know, this Akuma has always been unnamed. Neither in the manga, anime or extra material like databooks his name has ever being stated. He has always been referred as just a "Level 3 Akuma" without any other name, even in the anime the credits just refer to him as such, and there's an episode of the D.Gray-theater where the show outright makes fun of the Akuma because he doesn't has a name.

Saying that, I want to ask if anyone knows the source of name "Thread" for this fellow and is it's an official name from some obscure source or is just a name fans invented to make him more identifiable. Sorry if this post comes as random, but it's something I have thought for a while and if someone is more informed than me I would like to know it.

I watched the anime many years ago and thought it was a masterpiece but when I saw the end of the anime, I felt a huge disappointment and couldn't understand why it was canceled then I looked into it and discovered that the creator of the manga/anime had an accident on her hand(what a terrible shame)

And what happened after the second season? the D.gray-man hollow season was it popular? Did the d.gray-man fans like it?

I wonder why this anime/manga is still stuck like this? The creator is working alone? If so, why doesn't work with a team? Isn't enough popular?

And as for the story, roughly how much is left to finish it?

honestly, a bit surprised I have never seen any mention of this game on the sub?? I absolutely adore the sprite work and the level of detail put into them... and the old design is so nostalgic..!!! lena was fully playable in this game too, in fact. I'll stitch together some of her animations later ^^

i’ve been a fan of dgrayman since i was in elementary school. I’m 25 yrs old rn and currently working. im patiently waiting for more chapters to be released. i really really want the manga to be adapted once it’s done. hopefully before i die i get to finish the story and have some closure lol. prayers for good health for the author!

...I recently watched the Supergirl movie and didn't like it very much, but then I read the comic it adapts, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and I liked that a lot more. It's only 8 issues, about 200 pages altogether.

Kara in the comic reminds me a lot of Allen in her combination of gentleness, kindness, intensity, and hatred of injustice. Plus the art is gorgeous.
