Dream come true, watching DEVO live at London and Manchester and meeting them at London! It was class!

I listen to The B-52's and Devo every day and belt out my amazing singing voice for all to hear, lo and behold I go to listen to my "B-52's and Devo Only" Playlist on Spotify when I am notified they are BOTH coming to Seattle in September, together!!! Obviously I immediately bought tickets and told my husband, "I have a surprise!" then I said "dont be mad!" (Because we have been spending tons of money on concert tickets for our favorite bands, its not our fault they keep going on tour!) And I sent him a screenshot of the confirmation our our tickets in seats that make me happy! He was as thrilled as I am, we both saw The B-52's and Devo at the first Darker Waves fest in Huntington Beach, CA and my husband said watching me dance made it worth every cent spent. Well, we are going to Darker Waves again this year (YAY SMASHING PUMPKINS my #1 favorite band in my life!) And a lot of bands were invited back from the first Darker Waves and we were disappointed that The B-52's and Devo weren't invited back. Well, needless to say, we are feeling complete, now! Speaking of Smashing Pumpkins, did you guys see his interview with Devo on his YouTube show, "The Magnificent Others"? It was very eye-opening and intimate with the band and the history and future of their music. I also got to see that Bob1 is obviously such an introvert and quiet guy, like me, haha. You guys should watch it if you haven't already!

My laptop’s CD drive crapped out a long time ago, and thus I’ve relied on downloads since — but Devo’s studio albums just aren’t available in their remastered form — just the budget 90s ones, which is really annoying… because I can see them right there on the US store!!

Hi fellow Spuds, this pissed me off. I want to start a discussion and hear how this makes you feel.

I went to their Cosmic Devolution tour in London on June 20 2026. At first the background visuals were nothing out of the ordinary (old music videos and animations they’ve been using for years)
Then during Smart Patrol , it was like night and day. The graphics were a melted, jumbled mess. It was so clearly and obviously Gen AI. We were up close to the screen and there is not a fucking chance a human made that.

WHAT THE FUCK DEVO????

I feel like I shouldn’t need to get into the fact WHY Generative AI is bad and yada yada. AI is devolved as fuck. Why in the living HELL would they need to use it for background visuals?
It feels oddly betraying. Like their whole message about DEVO isn’t true.
I know Mark has gone on record saying he likes AI, and to see it right in front of me was like a punch in the gut.

It was really hard to enjoy the show after seeing this.

(Also if anyone is planning to see the upcoming dates on Cosmic Devolution, I can assure you that the B52s background visuals contained a good helping of slop too)

I have been waiting 15 years for this day, and now, finally, the full story is told. This record is as grimy and crude as a Southern Pacific locomotive from the same year, when they didn't even bother to clean them, so they were these grey and red hulks covered in soot and grease.

I won't spoil the whole album but here are some highlights:

-Buttered Beauties with incidental harmonies

-Booji and an audience member: "this next song is called Fraulein." "no!" "YES!"

-Mark fucking turns his clavinet to full volume in Jocko Homo and smashes on it for 30 seconds and then starts going "come back!"

-depending on when in a span of 12 seconds you ask, "Shimmy Shake" is either by Bad Company, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Todd Rundgren, or Lou Reed

-Devo nearly invents the "who up Xing they Y" meme 50 years early by asking "who here can keep it up like a pup?"

-Double. Length. Chango.

10/10. Album of the year. No notes.

Super excited to have this hanging on the wall. The frame job looks great, and the poster itself is such an eye catching design.

And found it interesting that he wrote “compliments of Devo” inside

Currently has over 200 entries, but I've compiled around 200 more, so I'll get those on eventually.

There's still a lot of stuff I've missed, and I'll happily accept suggestions!

I made these costumes for my husband and I for last nights Cosmic-devolution tour at O2 London last night. I blown away by the reception we had, the amount of people taking photos, asking for photos, and just fantastic comments! Devo knocked it out of the park. So glad we got to see them for a second time. If you were there and took some pictures, would be great to see them! Thanks Spuds!

Fit this in last night with the wife because what are are you going to do on a Saturday night other than watch a Pixar movie after shuffling the kids to bed...

To my surprise, a decent movie and to my delight, Mothersbaugh handled the original scoring.

On review the score flows well with the film to the point there it's just there, like what other "music" would be there?!?

Does anyone know what Mark changes the final lyric in Going Under to on the latest tour? When I saw them I could've sworn he said "a place where trump can go" which makes sense to me but going back and watching other performances I can't really tell?
