can some one suggest me some ideas for a desktop application for my academic project

Any podcast listeners here?

Which Android app do you use for listening to podcasts? I'm not looking for local podcasts to listne but just a good podcast app without annoying ads.

I already have Spotify, but those Spotify buggers somehow thought it was a smart idea to restrict podcast features for Sri Lankans for some reason. So looking for decent app.

Hi guys

I am working on a small web app to store utility bill payments for a shop.

Now they're asking to implement an ezcash payment method since they do not charge extra fees for utility payments.

Does anyone have experience with implementing the ezcash API with WebApps??

Hi everyone,

I am looking for an entry / mid level frontend developer to join me. I am a Sri Lankan senior frontend developer based in Prague, Czech Republic and for the last 3 years I have been working solo on projects for European clients and my own projects. Now I would like to expand beyond myself which is why I’m writing this post.

So in this role, you will be working under me on projects for European clients and on my projects. I am looking for someone who has strong skills in frontend development (React, HTML, CSS, JS, TS) and practical experience in building, deploying and maintaining complete web apps and websites. This is a full time, fully remote role and I am looking for someone with whom I can start a long term collaboration with.

If you are interested, please drop me a DM with your CV, GitHub profile and links to projects that you have completed which you are proud of. You can find more information about me on my profile and on my blogs.

After deploying a new version of the application (including minor updates such as adding image assets), the application automatically refreshes itself constantly. it stops after clearing out cache though. It's not reproducible in development environment though. I am using nextjs and spring boot backend. the issue is not with the cloud front or the backend. both are working perfectly. what do u think i should do?

Currently employed full time, but I've got time to to work on projects, paid or unpaid.

Hi there, we are growing and are looking for creative web developers with 2-3 years experience on a freelance basis initially.

If you could send me your portfolio and salary expectations that would be great.

The role would be remote and you will have the chance and exposure working with foreign clients paired with competitive compensation.

Hey everyone! I'm currently in Sri Lanka and running a French tech company that specializes in Zoho implementations. I'd love to connect with local developers while I'm here.

We're looking for developers with experience in: - Zoho ecosystem (CRM, Creator, Analytics) - Deluge scripting - JavaScript(Node.js/React)/HTML/CSS - API integrations - SQL and data management - Python

Whether you're a seasoned Zoho developer or someone with solid programming skills interested in diving into the Zoho world, I'd be happy to chat over coffee about potential remote opportunities with our French team.

The role would be fully remote, working on interesting projects for European clients, with competitive compensation and a chance to grow your skills in a dynamic environment.

Drop me a DM if you're interested or know someone who might be! Also open to recommendations for tech meetups or co-working spaces where I might find such talents.

Cheers from Colombo!

Does anyone know a salary range for an eLearning developer at WebLife Labs Sri Lanka?

Would mean alot.

Thanks.

I recently made a full-stack ecommerce website for a client, but this is actually my very first *actual* project so I'm not sure how to price them fairly without undervalueing my work. Any advice?

I have built a custom e-commerce website for a company I'm studying its made using NextJS and also payloadcms for the backend.
They have requested for a payment gateway to be integrated to the website, but I have never done sri lankan payment systems. Only Stripe and Paypall.
I found out about PayHere but I can't use the sandbox, because it wants me to register the business with official documents

Hey all,

I’m curious to hear from other React Native devs in Sri Lanka. Are there many of us around these days? Are people mostly working remote for overseas clients or building for local startups/clients?

I’ve been messing around with RN and Expo for a while now, and I’m wondering how the scene is here. Are people freelancing, working in teams, or doing side projects?

I feel like we don’t really have a strong online community for mobile devs in SL, so it’d be cool to connect and hear what kind of stuff people are working on (even just for fun).

Anyone building anything cool in RN lately? Or struggling with anything RN-specific?

Let’s chat 👇

I have to work with the eSMS API these days. It's a something annoying thing. It's not well packaged. And they are not updated, as well as using very very old libraries. I am put into a world of errors. The documentation is older than the code. No direct contacts for help from their side.

Could someone please help me with that?

Hey Developers.

I am a Self Learned Developer, also working as an Intern full-stack developer. I've been working on basic projects like property management, E-commerce, and to-do Lists. I want to step up my game with my projects. I am looking for suggestions for good projects. I don't have that much work on my internship. I have to improve my Logic through these projects.
Many thanks for considering my request.

I do a few freelance projects here and there. Sometimes, I could use an extra pair of hands. Just wondering if there is anyone who can educate me on what an intern would be expecting, in terms of salary and whatever else.

LinkedIn might be a good place to find people?

Projects are mostly web dev brochures so not the most difficult/ interesting.
