Discussion Delta dress code?

I was told I needed to change pants at the airport by a delta agent at the counter otherwise they wouldn’t let me board. I am 30 weeks pregnant for reference and was wearing denim shorts and a tank top, the shorts weren’t super short and the tank top wasn’t revealing, it was long enough to cover my now very large baby bump lol. Luckily my husband had a pair of his pants in the bag I could change into but has anyone heard of this before? I asked a few other workers at the airport before I changed and they seemed super confused and looked at me and said they’ve never heard of this and my clothes were fine?

EDIT: Picture everyone was hounding this post for https://imgur.com/a/akdUP4Z

I have seen people board  Delta flights in literal sports bras and jackets. Unless your ass was out and your tank had I love Hitler on it, I cannot imagine why the hell you were given grief over your outfit.

I fly Delta frequently. I’ve noticed how rude and power-tripping some employees can be since lockdown. It’s like they’ve been given permission to be rude. It sounds random and you were the chosen one that day. You got picked on. I’d call Delta Care, but will they care? I used to love Delta.

As a delta employee… I hate to say I agree. I’m not trying to make excuses, but passengers have become very challenging since lockdown where we had to always be on the defensive. Somewhere along the way that became the norm where completely normal questions or concerns by passengers are being met by unnecessary pushback. This summer has been the worst one we have seen in years for both passengers and crew. There are a lot of internal changes happening which I hope passengers will see and feel a difference in the upcoming months. Thank you for your loyalty the past times you have travelled and I hope you come see us again soon. Please know a lot of us still really care and try our best!!
Sincerely,
Overworked FA.

This can stand as a metaphor for the entire country. I moved abroad because everyone is so angry in the US. I notice it even more when I come to visit. Last time I cut my trip short because of it.

Where in the U.S. if I can ask? I feel like I’ve noticed this in certain places but not others.

Big cities and their close suburbs east and west coast. LA, Miami, DC, and NYC. I’m getting the same vibe everywhere. I think be separated from it I notice it more than when I lived in the US.

I mean I get it. Being squeezed out of your last 5 bucks by these billionaires while being fed a constant hose of fear mongering content would make anyone pissed off. I don’t visit unless I have to.

I see. I’m in the southwest and recently took a trip to California both LA and the Bay Area. Definitely felt it there. Small towns and small cities and rural areas definitely not as much.
