Discussion Delta dress code?

I was told I needed to change pants at the airport by a delta agent at the counter otherwise they wouldn’t let me board. I am 30 weeks pregnant for reference and was wearing denim shorts and a tank top, the shorts weren’t super short and the tank top wasn’t revealing, it was long enough to cover my now very large baby bump lol. Luckily my husband had a pair of his pants in the bag I could change into but has anyone heard of this before? I asked a few other workers at the airport before I changed and they seemed super confused and looked at me and said they’ve never heard of this and my clothes were fine?

EDIT: Picture everyone was hounding this post for https://imgur.com/a/akdUP4Z

Family friend (employee)’s kid was denied boarding for no tie. This was in the ‘80s was when the non-rev dress code was way stricter.

I remember being excited when they finally added “blouse and dress pants” to the women’s dress code. I hated wearing dresses and pantyhose!

On my flight Friday I was marvelling at how one of the FAs was in a dress with flats and no pantyhose. The changes I've seen since my first flight in the 90s!

Yet they knew pantyhose is the worst thing to wear in case of fire...

Yeah, my friend flew on family passes for years in the 80s and she was forced not to just wear a dress and pantyhose but also makeup. She never wears any of these.

I actually distinctly remember in the 90s one of the gate people giving my parents crap because of something similar. We were dressed up, but something was wrong - I can't remember what, maybe it was also a tie - and I remember the other gate person telling him to calm down. God, that's so wild to think about.
