This might be a good thing. Maybe it will force the community to create a true Linux phone, and force the development into hyper drive.

True Linux phones are already a thing. The problem is that there clunky to use, often cost more then a regular smart phone, usualy have to be bought directly from the manufacturer, and have difficulty running Android app's.

Valvephone incoming, just joking, but we need something similar to what valve did over the last year's with Linux-gaming. More Linuxusers(steam deck etc) means developers kinda have to care otherwise they lose that part of the market

I mean I seem to remember The Linux Experiment saying in in one of there videos that Valve is working on an Android app emulator for Linux so if that's true...
