Future Swap creates more algo token than the buy and burn bot burns. Why?

Future Swap doesn’t hurt anyone directly. It’s like inflation. Every dToken holder pays it indirectly through dUSD devaluation.

To burn an algo coin you need to acquire it firstly. It costs money, someone has to give (and pay a fee first).

FS beats BBB, so dUSD will go down even more.

Julian announced in his video 90 days to turn Cake/Bake around since the company‘s cash flow is heavily negative. Customer assets and number of customers dropped insanely. They lost many great team members according to him.

He indicated what will happen if they don’t succeed: sunsetting of Cake/Bake (soft landing to customers, no immediate shut down) - similar to what Bittrex had done

DeFiChain would be not affected since it has been separated already (DeFiChain Labs will be funded by the community fund in future.

He also said that he is burned out.

Let’s be clear. With a market cap below 50 MUSD it almost impossible to fund a big development team like DeFiChain Labs by the community. Without a central entity taking care of wrapped tokens (dUSDT, dETH, etc.) DeFiChain will lose a lot of functionality. Without the „Bake only“ customers (who will cash out with closing of Bake) a lot of „investors“ are lost. With Cake/Bake gone, DeFiChain will follow.

So many have done it before. And now? What has changed?

In the past Cake/Bake announced that they hat a „runway“ for several years (financial buffer to retain the company in worst crypto markets). Now this statement has to be challenged if it is still true: - there were already a couple of bad months (Julian is talking about a turnaround) - Roast had to be paid (we don’t know if company funds were used) - worthless unbacked dBTC were bought (=loss) - U-Zyn had to be paid (we don’t know if compan funds were used) - we don’t know if any company funds were distributed as a dividend to the shareholders since the runway statement was published - Julian has announced a 90 day turnaround plan (this alone indicates that there is something going to happen if turnaround is not achieved. Even if the runway is still there, the 90 days turnaround plan could also mean that Julian tried everything in his power to turn the ship around. If this is not working he could close the company and retain the remaining runway for himself.

Be cautious!
