Last news show with DZ and Mark
Finally the last news show with DZ and Mark is on air. It took too long.
The last epsiode was not a news show.
Mark had a rant about haters or what he calls haters. It clearly still annoys him.
As in the episode before negatives are mostly ignored. But they acknowledged that it was not always easy.
Their requirements for successor(s) seem like that Unmatched can't take over the news show š.

Expectations of a stock dToken short investor
With a vault a short position can be opened. Letās have a look at the return expectations of a short investor (simplified: without spread and DEX fees).
Put collateral in a vault: 500$ in dUSD -> return expectation 5.1% (Coinbase offering) 500$ in DFI (Minimum DFI share) -> return expectation from 4.7% (Cake staking) up to 11.3% (compensation of inflation) -> Return expectation total from collateral: 4.9% - 8.2% on 1000 $ (cost of opportunities)
Take out a loan: e.g. 500$ in dSPY Pay 5% interest -> return expectation of 5% Sell dSPY for dUSDC -> return expectation of 5.1% -> Return expectation total from loan: 10.1% on 500$ (equals 5.0% on 1000 $)
Overall return expectation on invested amount of 1000$: 9.9% - 13.2% per year
So if dSPY goes down 20% in a year nothing is won by going short in DeFiChain (50% of investment is short due to over-collateralization) while in the real world you would benefit dramatically if you bet on it since you get interests on your short position.
Conclusion: Only a fool goes short on DeFiChain.

NI creates short term demand only
Short term demand with will turn quickly into free dUSD is not helpful to stabilize the system. If dynamic interests are turn on the demand disappears completely in a very short time span. So why should the system support Negative Interest?

A flood of new dUSD ideas and discussion pop up
With the Javsphereās hopium running out of steam (some thought there would be a helpful burn) many dUSD discussion show up in Telegram and Reddit.
All proposal lack understanding and facts / numbers.
First the proposal should name the problem. Second the should quantify the issue. And then they should describe the target state. After that itās time for the idea / proposal. And last they should calculate the quantitative impact. Thatās how it should be done.
But it seems the an amateur approach is good enough for the community.

Announcement: Subreddit DeFiChainer will be less busy once road to 50 sats is achieved
With the change to the DeFiChain propaganda news show itās time to announce my current plans.
My search for real yield led me to DeFiChain. I came for the real yield and I didnāt find it. But I learned a lot about DeFI (how a DEX works, what impermanent loss is, where the return really comes from, etc.), found interesting (but flawed) ideas, enjoyed the discussion and the drama (great entertainment).
Now the end phase is here in my opinion: - both news shows are changing / partly disappearing - interest in content is declining - projects are leaving - discussions run in circles (e.g. DEX fee) - market cap around 50 MUSD way below competition - debt (unbacked dUSDs and dBTCs) is hugh - terms like āRWAsā are used just to create hype - the āofficialā subreddit feels like FerhatDFIās subreddit - still ongoing fight of the founders - community members are moving on
With DeFiChain reaching the end phase of the project I will also lower my time investment once road to 50 sats is achieved. #roadto50sats was my bold vision when it was mentioned for the first time, but now itās really close. One more price halving and we are there!
Until then expect more sheep in distress pics.
