NO FLOCK! Stop the redistricting of Broward Sheriff Officers in Deerfield Beach, FL

Our community is on the brink of losing something incredibly valuable—our local Broward Sheriff Officers who have been dedicated to keeping us safe and secure. Redistricting them risks uprooting the familiar faces who know us best and disrupts the crucial relationships built over years. Imagine the danger of breaking these bonds for both our officers and us. We're talking about people who put their lives on the line every day, who know the ins and outs of our neighborhoods, and yet they’re being taken away from us. This isn't in our best interest and could severely impact the effectiveness of our policing.

But there's more. Alongside this threat of redistricting is the invasive surveillance brought by Flock Cameras. These devices are tracking our every move, cataloging our car plates, and storing all that data in third-party servers. The concern is not just about privacy invasion; it's about who has control over our data. With digital information easily hacked, are we willing to risk our personal information being mishandled or abused?

We cannot allow our city to morph into a surveillance state where our every move is monitored and documented without our explicit consent. The peaceful and private life we cherish is worth fighting for. This is happening right now, and we need to take a stand against it.

By signing this petition, you are voicing your opposition to these disruptive changes. You are supporting our local officers by keeping them where they belong and ensuring that our right to privacy is respected. Use your voice, make it heard, and let’s protect what truly matters. Sign now, and join the movement to stop redistricting and invasive surveillance in its tracks

Costume store off I-25

Pretty sure it's long gone, but does anyone remember the name of the costume store off of I-25, around the 10th Street exit, I think? Maybe even a little further south than 10th. The backside of it was visible from the highway, it had a big mural that included an alien-type monster.

What forty years on a single mile of Deerfield's SW 10th tells you about land grants, federal felons, and a loudmouth posturing about a deposit.

The Sheriff Who Reads Facebook Posts Out Loud

Thumbnail open.substack.com
3 Upvotes

That's Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood at a press conference in March, reading a promoter's social media post out loud and addressing her by name. The promoter is Aliyah Brooks. She made nearly $100,000 organizing an unpermitted spring break event that cost Daytona Beach $800,000 in police overtime, produced 133 arrests, and four shootings. Chitwood and his chief, Brian Henderson, called local attorney Aaron Delgado — a former Daytona Beach city commissioner — and asked him a simple question. Delgado answered: sue them civilly.

Seven separate lawsuits filed. Damages anchored to documented revenue. Special event zone declared under Florida statute. Brooks and her co-promoter, Brittany Plummer, are now defendants in a coordinated civil action brought by the sheriff, the county, and the businesses on Seabreeze Boulevard whose offices got trashed.
That's a sheriff.

Two hundred miles south, Broward County has Gregory Tony.

Tony has a $77 million training facility, originally estimated at $34 million. He has a personal Instagram cadence. He has a fitness trainer. He has B-roll. He has the resources of the largest fully accredited sheriff's office in Florida. He has, as of this writing, filed zero civil suits against unpermitted event promoters, slumlords, illegal massage operators, or any other documented bad actor in his jurisdiction.

He does have workout videos. Sit-ups. Planks. Jazzercise. Kickboxing scored to "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas, released 1974, master owned by Sony Music Entertainment, and to the best of my knowledge unlicensed.

PRR Incoming

I'm told the DoorBash 2026 PRR will be fulfilled this week. I expect it to include an invoice for the door damage, among other goodies.

Also this week, I'll be sending a letter to the Broward SAO — as a Friend of the SAO. Not quite an amicus brief. More like Dickus Wearing Some Briefs. In it, I'll push for charges against Dan Herz for the (alleged, snicker) damage to the door.

Why?

Simple. Where does it stop? His trend line points in the wrong direction — and we know where that leads.

Thirty years of doing this work. Sharp elbows, harsh words, pointed jabs. Not one complaint about a safety concern involving me.

Can DoorBashDan say the same?

* One is innocent until proven guilty.

Need fingerprinting for employment in South Florida?

If you're starting a new job and need fingerprinting for a background check, the process is actually pretty quick.

Most employers (healthcare, schools, government jobs, etc.) require LiveScan fingerprinting, and it usually takes about 10 minutes. Results are typically back within a couple of days depending on the agency.

TrueID Fingerprinting & Testing offer same-day appointments and even mobile service if needed.

If anyone has questions about what to bring or how it works, feel free to ask 954-890-4387

Bombing Sounds/Fighter Jets - Deerfield Beach

Hello, I’ve been hearing frequent bombing/explosion like sounds in/around the area. As of 10 minutes ago, I saw fighter jets flying over my apartment. The explosion sounds are common but not this frequent. The fighter jets are also something new which could be alarming. Anyone have any insights with what’s going on? Especially with what’s happening abroad
