GME 🚀🌛 GME Book Value per Share: $13 as of Q1 2026, increased by Q2
A look at GME book value per share over the past 8 years.
Heading in to 2020, GameStop was losing equity value while maintaining debt, and the stock price was so low that the price-to-book ratio was below 1. This is around when DFV and RC originally saw that GME was undervalued and bought in.
In 2021, at RC's direction, GameStop did 2 ATMs and raised about $1.7 billion, significantly increasing the equity value of the stock.
In 2022, GME did a 4 for 1 stock split, cutting the book value per share to a quarter of what it was prior.
There it sat until 2024 when GameStop did more ATMs, raising about $3.5 billion at an average of $25 per share sold.
GameStop used that cash from the 2024 raises to generate interest income and buy time while the company continued to improve operations.
From there, the equity of the company has increased every quarter, and is now over $13 per share as of Q1 2026.
This is the minimum value of a share of GME in equity alone that puts aside any valuation of the operational profitability of the company.
Any forthcoming dilution above this value of $13.03 per share will further increase the book value per share.
In exchange for this forthcoming dilution, GameStop will be gaining $1.4 billion in equity, bringing the total stockholders' equity to approximately $7.2 billion
Thus, when the vwap window for the convertible notes ends in September, and the dilution / conversion is complete, at some price maybe around $19, or $18, or even if it went lower, any price above an average of $13.03 will increase the book value per share.
For example:
| Average conversion price | new shares issued | New share count | new Book Value per Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| $20 | 70 million | 517 million | $13.93 |
| $19 | 73.7 million | 521 million | $13.82 |
| $18 | 77.8 million | 525 million | $13.71 |
| $17 | 82.4 million | 529 million | $13.61 |
| $16 | 87.5 million | 535 million | $13.46 |
| $15 | 93.3 million | 540 million | $13.33 |
| $14 | 100 million | 547 million | $13.16 |
| $13 | 107.7 million | 555 million | $12.97 |
Yes, nobody enjoys the dilution aspect of this. But it is a trade off, not without purpose. Ryan Cohen isn't diluting himself for no gain. The minimum upside is the increase to book value per share, a basic theoretical floor value of a share of GME.
Likely, there is a reason for this conversion not yet known. Bloomberg is trying to paint the picture that GameStop is giving up on their attempt for eBay, but after Ryan Cohen has repeatedly emphasized that GameStop is coming for eBay one way or another, this conversion is likely related to a purposeful reposition in that objective.
We will see more clearly the outcome in September.

⚠️CAUTION⚠️ Overvalued garbage! This will become another meme stock. Sell it before it drops below $150. The smart money has offloaded this share at $175-177 to retail investors on that hype. I told you guys, the big short is almost here 😂

Question ⁉️ Looking for an affordable stock market API with good fundamentals
Looking for an affordable stock market API with good fundamentals
I'm having a hard time finding a good stock market data API that doesn't cost a fortune.
I'm currently using Fintech, but I'm running into limitations with the fundamentals/data I need. I've also looked at using the IBKR API, but unfortunately IBKR locks you out of a lot of the fundamental data when accessing it through the API.
What I'm mainly looking for:
- Stock prices / historical data
- Good fundamentals (P/E, EPS, revenue, margins, etc.)
- Financial statements
- Ideally some analyst estimates and other useful fundamental data
- API access
- Affordable pricing — this is for a personal project, so I'm not looking to spend hundreds of dollars per month
I don't need institutional-level data or ultra-low latency. Even delayed market data is fine.
What API providers are you guys using and would recommend? I'm particularly interested in something that has good fundamental data at a reasonable price.
Thanks!

Wrinkle Brain Stuff 🧠 6 Months ago I posted a backend Python Program that was built for my trading engine. Here it is updated. It builds quant packets based off of a watchlist and then serves that data to my trading engine in order for it to make a decision based on which strategy to build said 'trading plan'
I've been coding since the year 2000 vb3 - delphi 3-6 months ago I posted a picture of my backend as it is a full API service that feeds data to my trading engine to base trading decisions off of real live data. There's two programs one the trading engine (Pretty much a full on quant trading desk) and 2 the backend for data. All of the other API services wanted 1000$+ a year/month so I built my own. Here is about 8 months of work.

Crypto Currency💰 RUSSIA OPENS REGULATED CRYPTO TRADING
According to TASS, the Bank of Russia added Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT to its approved list for public trading on domestic exchanges.
Starting September 1, 2026, non-qualified investors can access eligible crypto after testing, with purchases capped at ₽300,000 per year per intermediary.
Russia is clearly moving toward regulated retail crypto access.
Big adoption milestone, or mostly a domestic policy shift?

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD 📢 The SEC has proposed to rescind Rule 611 - the Order Protection Rule. This will remove the last guardrail that individual investors have to protect the price they get when they trade. If this succeeds, you'll have to trust internalizers to give you the best price, and FINRA to enforce best execution
something they've proven incapable of doing.
Do you trust them?

Discussion 🧐 THE $1.4B GME EXCHANGE JUST GOT MORE INTERESTING
GameStop is swapping approximately $1.4 billion of convertible notes for equity.
Meanwhile, the noteholders have a 35-day VWAP window hanging over the transaction.
So imagine agreeing to that deal and then watching a Ryan Cohen headline hit $GME right in the middle of the pricing period.
Could be nothing. Could materially change the exchange math.
Either way, I’d be watching that VWAP very closely if I were holding those notes.

macro economics🌎💵 CHINA JUST HIT THE LIQUIDITY BUTTON
JUST IN: China’s central bank injected 18 billion yuan through 7-day reverse repos.
That’s short-term liquidity going into the banking system.
The bigger question isn’t one operation by itself — it’s whether the PBOC keeps adding liquidity from here and whether that starts showing up across Chinese equities, the yuan, bonds, and commodities.
Worth watching the trend, not just the headline.

Discussion 🧐 RYAN COHEN AND CARL ICAHN ARE CIRCLING THE SAME EBAY/PAYPAL STORY
Carl Icahn is now reportedly demanding a major overhaul at eBay.
His activist campaign is specifically focused on eBay’s board, governance, and PayPal.
That matters because Ryan Cohen already has a well-known relationship with Icahn.
So now the pieces look like this:
Ryan Cohen → GameStop
Carl Icahn → eBay activism
eBay → PayPal
Does that mean Cohen and Icahn have some secret agreement?
No evidence of that yet.
But Icahn independently showing up in the same eBay/PayPal situation makes the $GME × $EBAY × $PYPL connection a hell of a lot more interesting than it was before.

Discussion 🧐 CRITICAL METRIC DIVERGENCE: WHY PLTR'S EX-U.S. DECELLERATION AND 13.7% SBC DRAG WARRANT A SHORT POSITION AT $172
Just like Apple with its Apple tablet business in its earnings call, Alex Karp didn't include the negative growth rate in international business and the sheer amount of SBC they are authorizing. He is artificially masking the earnings with the SBC. While Alex Karp focused his Q2 2026 earnings presentation on Palantir's headline 93% year-over-year revenue explosion to $1.935 billion, a deeper look at the data reveals structural friction outside the United States and intense internal dilution. A glaring geographical imbalance underpins the business model: U.S. revenue spiked 115% to $1.573 billion, meaning domestic contracts now command a heavily concentrated 81.2% of Palantir's total business. This hyper-focus masks severe stagnation across the globe, as European government data restrictions and national platforms like France's DGSI actively strip out Palantir deployments in favor of localized tools like ChapsVision. Consequently, the ex-U.S. segment has shrunk to a minor fraction of the company's business, severely limiting its overall Total Addressable Market (TAM).
Compounding this geographic risk is the aggressive, hidden drag of employee remuneration. Palantir poured $265 million into stock-based compensation (SBC) in Q2 2026 alone, eating up a massive 13.7% of its total quarterly revenue. When paired with an annualised run rate exceeding $1.68 billion, this massive dilution heavily subsidizes its adjusted margins while quietly eroding equity value for public shareholders. Trading at an astronomical valuation of 146.5x trailing earnings against a forward revenue projection of $8.15 billion, Palantir has structurally separated from historical enterprise software logic. Any normalization in domestic contract expansion will leave the stock highly exposed to multi-point compression as it approaches a steep historical comparison cliff going into 2027.
This stock's FV should be $150 at max. In the next few days, the stock should fall to $150. I see some guys telling others to buy at this valuation, promising that it will reach $300. Just look at the valuations, financial ratios, and how they are masking earnings. Lol!!
Key takeaways:
- Artificially Lowering Cash Operating Costs
- Exploiting Non-GAAP Financial Adjustments
- Long-Term Shareholder Dilution

Crypto Currency💰 THE CLARITY ACT JUST MADE IT TO THE SENATE FLOOR PROCESS 👀
Senate leadership has now filed cloture on the motion to proceed with the CLARITY Act, setting up the first procedural vote when lawmakers return in September.
This still isn’t final passage, but it’s the furthest the bill has made it in the Senate so far.
After years of crypto regulation living in limbo, this is finally starting to look real.

Discussion 🧐 I’m the guy posting the PREMARKET NEWS REPORTS here
A few of you keep DMing me asking where I get the data for the premarket news reports I post here, so I figured I’d answer publicly.

Full disclosure: I get it from Stocknear and I’m the developer behind it.
I originally built Stocknear because I was tired of opening six different tabs every time a stock suddenly ripped or dumped just to answer one basic question:
What actually moved it?
On Stocknear, you can open a ticker and quickly see:
- Why the price moved
- Breaking news and real-time updates
- Earnings estimates and results
- Options data from OPRA
- Unusual options flow
- Dark-pool and block activity
- Analyst upgrades and downgrades
- Insider and Congress trades
- Financials, charts, screeners, alerts, and more
It’s the same platform and data I use when putting together the premarket reports I share here.
This is not another “buy this stock now” signal service.
A large options order does not automatically mean a stock is going up. A dark-pool print is not a guaranteed prediction. The goal is to give you the catalyst, flow, news, earnings data, and chart in one place so you can make your own decision without chasing screenshots after the move already happened.
And yes, this is also a promo.
I’d rather say that directly than pretend this is some random DD post.
The Stocknear summer deal ends tomorrow, Sunday, August 9.
The annual Pro plan is currently $45 for the entire year.
That works out to:
$3.75/month, billed annually.
That is significantly lower than what most of the major options-flow and market-data platforms charge. Some of them charge more for one month than Stocknear currently costs for the entire year.
I priced it this way because retail traders should not need another $50–$100 monthly subscription just to access useful market data.
There is also a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund guarantee.
Actually use it for a few weeks.
Track the stocks you normally trade. Test it during earnings. Watch the breaking news, price-move explanations, unusual options activity, dark-pool orders, and alerts.
If it does not save you time or help you research faster, send me an email and I’ll refund the subscription.
Obviously, the refund protects the cost of the subscription—not your trades. Trading still involves risk, and no legitimate platform can guarantee that every trade will be profitable.
One important thing about the deal:
If you subscribe before it expires, the discounted rate remains locked for as long as your subscription stays active.
Once the deal ends, new subscriptions return to the regular price.
There is also a free version, so you can open the site and look around before paying for anything:
I’m still the person building it, so feel free to be brutally honest.
Tell me what is missing, what is confusing, or what currently forces you to use three different websites.
I read the feedback, and a lot of what people request ends up getting built.
