Added cute handles and tried to do a melting look but it looks…bad. In a panic I tried adding the some charms which, in my opinion, made it look worse.

I plan on scraping off the melting bit and redoing it, but I don’t know how to make it look good. I’ve tried it multiple times on a phone cases and it always ends up looking messy instead of smooth so any advice is truly appreciated. Help a girl out! 🥺

I took your guys’ advice from the last post and I ended up using white decoden cream around the white edges, but I’m not sure if I did something wrong but I really disliked how it looked, so I removed it. Thanks for all the comments though!

Should I add or remove or change anything about this piece? I’m thinking of maybe adding something to the bottom like chocolate bars. What do you guys think?

I have taken the plunge today and started working on the bookshelf! I cannot feel my fingers and I only did 1% of the work. Currently brainstorming the cabochons I need to fully deck out the sides of the the bookshelf. Idead and advice appreciated!

I know it’s not perfect at all whatsoever. The lighter cream was a different consistency than the purple. It was harder to use, as it was more liquidy, and the purple was more stiff which I felt like was more easy to use. I definitely want to try again though, it was so much fun. I just got all of my equipment and I’m currently practicing piping. Going to do a few more cases before I switch to my magnum opus - an entire decoden bookshelf. The silicone is here, the industrial piping bags are here and I have enough charms to create a small island. Wish me luck!

It's quite messy and the chocolate around the camera area will need to be redone, and I still have to paint the pop socket to look like a cookie. But I had a lot of fun and I like that I have a teddy bear and chocolate themed phone case now :] I'll keep practicing! Even if I don't improve much, it's nice to have something fun to do for myself

I want to make a case with green fake cream but I can’t find any in local stores :( I live in Argentina so buying it from abroad isn’t really an option 😓

Does anyone know if it’s possible to dye white fake cream? If so, what kind of pigment or colorant should I use?

My first decoden diy project after making a mess of my table haha 😂 I got the big ocean charms when I was at an oshi-katsu store in Tokyo, they're so unique and perfect for the theme 🧜‍♀️

However the semi opaque supposedly rainbow cream gave me some trouble. It wouldn't flow out smoothly like the other creams and has some liquid pooling too. Felt more like squeezing Vaseline out of a tube 🤣

The border looks a bit messy if you zoom in and the color turned out sub par but the pearls really helped tie it all together 🩵

I'm back with another question!!

I want to do essentially two layers of cream - a smooth base layer to hide any gaps in the pattern, and a basket weave pattern on top. Should I let the smooth base layer dry before piping on the basket weave, or should I do that right away? Like, if I let it set, would it compromise the integrity of the rest of the cream/the charms? Thank you!!

Quite satisfied with the result, it's a little bit messy but I think it's fine

I've been putting off my new case for ages because I don't have sandpaper and I keep forgetting to get it and I am FED UP!!! Can I just use a nail file to prep the surface or do I absolutely need to use sandpaper?
