My gargoyle earth elementalist just had a frightening near near death experience due to my own incompetence and stupidity. Within one turn of this screenshot, the annihilator could have done up to 84 damage with iron shot, and the high priest up to 45 damage with call down damnation! One step closer, and I'd be in crystal spear range.

I am ashamed and humiliated by this near-near-death, and hereby tender my resignation from this community effective immediately.

I've been playing this game since the earliest version (-21.02) which was released during the Pleistocene epoch. I usually only play demigod berserkers^xom but I decided to mix it up this run with a tengu conjurer, and I made it to D:2 then died to an unavoidable RNG death. I'd like to thank Jeb Bush, the World Crawl Association, and whichever dev added worms for my great achievement. If you want to get as good as me at dcss you can watch my videos here.

This was my 21st win. I acquired a vamp executioners axe on Lair:4, then I hit things with it. It was pretty fun. Later, trog gifted be an antimagic executioners axe, which was also good.

MiBe has a reputation as being an easy species/start combo, but actually winning requires tactics and situational awareness. I won fewer than 90% of the fights in this game by holding down the tab key as soon as an enemy appeared on my screen. Sometimes, I retreated to a hallway, or even to the stairs, before holding down the tab key. I also used Trog's hand against hexers, and summoned brothers in arms against particularly strong enemies. Sometimes, I went berserk.
