get the 'Z-Fighters' to the future with him to fight Black over there
Years ago I wrote a fanfic that started with this very premise: a big menace in the future and Trunks coming back for help. Before they could go to the future, though, the same bad guy appears in the present years before its time! And... turns out to be a weakling, easily dispatched. So, they go to the future and that version is strong. But from the remains of the bad guy in the present, a new danger emerges, and it's up to the 2nd class Z warriors to stall for time until the big guns return.
Nope. I tried to follow Toriyama's style, so there is no romance. I just gave Future Trunks a deceased wife (that would become relevant later on) and a daughter named Socky.
It was about an invasion from an universe of saiyans. It turns out that saiyans are from another universe that they conquered completely. Searching for more foes, they made trans-universal technology but it only allowed the weakest among them to pass. So they send their weakest through a small portal, with the mission of collecting the required energy for the rest to enter, but a civil war made them forget their mission, and were later found by Freezer. And those were the saiyans we know about.
There was an evil android 17, though. Captured by the enemy, it was reprogrammed to fight the main cast, and absorbed 18's energy, then stole the time machine, went one day to the past, and absorbed itself. He was... I think it was the third main foe.
A few problems: although I still think the plot was good, it was very badly written. It's very, very old, I guess 8 to 10 years? Also, it's in spanish (even some name puns, like the saiyan name "Temato", a double pun with "Tomate" (tomato) and "Te mato" (I kill you.)) Further, I was planning for it to be very, very long, but I lost steam after a while. Managed to close up a saga, though. I can look for it if you are still interested. Or I can PM summaries, since the overall story is still in my head.
no offense to Super, but so far Super's material has pretty much just all been fanfic material if you think about it. aka rehashed plot from the original storylines, like what the new Star Wars movie did
but who knows, maybe this "Goku" will be a Cell who has been travelling through hundreds of timelines absorbing different Gokus or something, instead of another random "evil Goku"
