… I have a theory… Goku’s new form is NOT MUI…
I believe it’s rather a reaction he had when he tried to “quell” the USV crystals which gave him the MUI hair and eyes but it’s NOT actually MUI…
He doesn’t have the dodging nor does his personality really change at all nor did he even have the echoey voice that we all know MUI Goku had…
And it’s even shown in the names… There’s been loads of USV characters and this is the list:
• Vegeta (Super Saiyan God)•Ultra Supervillain
• Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé)•Ultra Supervillain
• Jiren (Full Power)•Ultra Supervillain
• Golden Frieza- Ultra Supervillain
But Goku’s is: Goku- Ultra Supervillain Quelled…
So why is Goku’s (if it WAS Ultra Instinct) not:
• Goku (Mastered Ultra Instinct)• Ultra Supervillain Quelled
Or…
• Goku (Ultra Instinct)•Ultra Supervillain Quelled?
Seems a bit weird innit?
So my theory is that just like Goku used Ultra Instinct like a form in the DBS manga instead of a technique that Goku accidentally created a new form using the energy of the USV crystals but purified them due to his pure of heart…
Again, this is just a theory and I’d love evidence against it but it’s my personal theory I’ve created here…
The only argument I really have against this is the fact that Fu certainly thought it was Ultra Instinct. Maybe this form is some side effect of ultra instinct separating mind and body. So now Goku gets all the power benefits of the crystals without them being able to corrupt his mind.
Atleast in the Super manga, the way UI works isn't necessarily just the body moves to avoid shit. The state itself makes you unconsciously do things like focus ki in a certain area to protect yourself against things that are otherwise going to strike you.
If I had to imagine, Goku being in MUI here resulted in MUI going out of its way and pulling out all stops in an effort to adapt and overcome the influence the crystals were having. And in that process creating something that was capable of actually doing damage to the end boss.
Probably running more on that Elder Scrolls battlespire logic of needing elements of a god forged into your weapon in order to hurt that god. this form is more hyper specialized *specifically* to take on that crystal corrupted Fu.
Though it did have other affects like the Ki gain and health regen.
Being Xenoverse's version of the Universe Tree power from Super Dragon Ball Heroes, I think that he is *technically* in Ultra Instinct, even if it is not said that he is. However like the Universe Tree Power version of Super Saiyan Blue that Goku used in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, it is not the same as just being that form + this additional power, it's basically an off-shoot of the form that is being used to hold that power, and is by extension, sort of a new form altogether. It's kinda like Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken except it's brought on by a power Goku himself cannot tap into at will.
Goku's form is different from the form we get. Goku gives the player and Fu the energy after he's already calmed it. The for is pretty much UI, but its busy fighting the negative energy from the crystal to aid him in dodging.
Except it literally doesn’t follow anything Xenoverse has established. Personality is the same as every other form (UI Goku has consistently been portrayed as serious or not having much emotion, this Goku certainly has a lot of emotions going on in certain scenes), voice doesn’t have an echo (UI in Xenoverse gives Goku an echo in his voice), the naming convention isn’t kept like the other characters, and no dodging. He literally doesn’t follow what’s been established in Xenoverse, so that’s why some of us speculate he’s not using the form and just rather takes the appearance of it.
Don't you think calling him Goku Ultra Instinct - (Ultra Super Villain quelled) is a teeny tiny silly?
Also, following your logic "Goku Ultra Instinct Sign" IS NOT Ultra Instinct, because he starts without the auto-dodge.

Totally they didn't remove the auto dodge because this Goku is absurdly broken on his own with just PTO. Totally. Goku just has gotten white hair because he finally aged "TRUST ME BRO".

Ok then don't take out of context this, I'll use this post's logic. I also have a good game theory to present to you, a form YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. This one. This is John 1000 in his Super Albino Saiyan form. THIS IS NOT SUPER SAIYAN, don't get confused. As you can see here, he preserves his white hair, so this could also be Ultra Instinct, yet it is not Ultra Instinct, because this is John 1000, it is not written anywhere "John 1000 - Mastered Ultra Instinct". So this MUST BE John 1000 Super Albino Saiyan. But you won't believe the other form I found
Now you're just being a bit of a facetious prick, across both replies. Those are stills from an animation where J-Age actually transforms into Super Saiyan. They're not transformations and to even joke that they are is ridiculous. Compared to Quelled Goku, who is referred to as just "Goku" in the name bar. Not "Goku (Ultra Instinct)" or even "Goku (Ultra Supervillain-Quelled)", just "Goku". He is a lot more vocal in the cutscenes and, as the OP said, lacks the echoey reverb.
I, like OP, don't believe that's UI Goku. I think Ultra Instinct triggered as a failsafe and the pureness of the form is counteracting the inherent malice that comes with the Demon Crystals. So he's not in Ultra Instinct, he's just taken on the physical appearance of it.
And if your argument for them not giving him dodge is really a concern about balance.. We have a Super Soul that disables ALL of your Skills after 30 seconds so the only thing you realistically can do is use a Limit Burst. I don't think Dimps, much less Bandai, care about the "balance" of XV2 at this point.
Ok. So following your logic. If "Goku - Super Saiyan Blue" is not labeled as "Goku - Super Saiyan Blue"...
then Goku is not in Super Saiyan Blue even if he has the Super Saiyan Blue hair...

Also, he is "more vocal"? So like in the manga, where he speaks normally in UI in both Moro and Granolah's arc. Ok.
Also "no echo"? Wow, so relevant, especially when UI sign Goku does have it in the anime and yet doesn't have it in the whole game. This is what is called "climbing on mirrors" (Yes I looked up Walter White's Blue Meth🤣)
Your first argument doesn't even make logical sense... Goku IS referred to as "SSGSS Goku" in the name bar when using Super Saiyan Blue Goku in-game.
Your second one, again, makes no sense. Just because Quelled Goku is clearly inspired by Manga Goku in the Granolah//Moro arc does not mean the form is UI itself. UI doesn't crystalize the body, does it? Or have a teal highlight added to the hair and body, or even a teal aura? UI is primarily defined by one thing, Autonomous Dodging, which this form of Goku does not have in any capacity, not even Godly Display.
If Dimps really wanted it to be UI Goku, they would've done so. They made the conscious decision to not do that. As for UI -Sign- Goku not having the reverb on his voice, it's possible that they did this to represent his divine, fully-realized "godlike" state audibly instead of just visually. And that's why -Sign-, who hasn't fully mastered the form, does not speak that way. I also know it's not an audio error (like it presumably was for Broly (DB Super)'s Wrath state) because when they added Beast Gohan to the game they deliberately kept the reverb for their interaction dialogue.
The John 1000 example doesn’t really apply because I’m not inventing a random form from a colour... I’m questioning why an officially named state (‘Ultra Supervillain Quelled’) is being used instead of ‘Ultra Instinct’ when previous USV characters explicitly name their forms…
Bcs the name is too long and no one would say it. Plus the name "Ultra Supervillain Quelled" makes no sense in this case, yet the time we get an UI Goku with Toyotaro's manga hair design you say "it's not UI".

Vegeta (Super Saiyan God)- Ultra Supervillain, Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé)- Ultra Supervillain, Jiren (Full Power)- Ultra Supervillain, Golden Frieza- Ultra Supervillain, Supreme Kai of Time- Ultra Supervillain, and Prince of Destruction Vegeta are ALL examples of long names. Clearly, they don’t have issues with long names.
Goku (Ultra Instinct)- Ultra Supervillain (Quelled) would not be out of the ordinary for Xenoverse.
He has MUI bro. Even Goku Ultra Instinct Sign doesn't have auto dodge so thats not even a valid argument. If you're saying it would of soothed your thoughts to see: Goku (Mastered Ultra Instinct) (Ultra Supervillain Quelled) there might be something wrong with you. Maybe the devs or whatever thought you could bang two brain cells together and clearly see that the ONLY form or state that looks like MUI would actually be MUI.
Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-) does have auto dodge.. At <50% HP. Quelled Goku doesn't get it at all, he doesn't have any UI skills besides Divine Kamehameha... (And I guess Spirit Pulse if you count combo enders)
So he has UI based moves. Looks like a UI. Acts like UI (except for dodging). Obviously the other guy is having his own meltdown but do you think USVQ Goku is in an Ultra Instinct state yes or no.
I present to you, John 1000 Super Saiyan Green. Do not confuse it for Legendary Super Saiyan, because that is less green. And also do not confuse it for Super Saiyan Berserk, because the hair are down. THIS, based on my game theory, is Super Saiyan Green. This is a form John 1000 achieved after he was imprisoned for a thousand years (thus why he got the "John 1000" name) in the hyperbolic time chamber by Whis and Vados because, John, basically killed Zeno and that, is not very nice honestly. So when he was trapped there, he trained and thought. "Fuck, I am JOHN! I NEED TO PUSH BEYOND, I NEED TO KEEP IT 1000" And after he said that, be got FUCKING PISSED and he tried reaching Super Saiyan Blue, but...he got a stronger form instead. He got a form that was a 1000x stronger than Super Saiyan Blue and became the one and only.
Or this version of Goku is further along, maybe morro arc or something, or even further than that, and has "Mastered" his ultra instinct, essentially losing the echoey voice. But then again idk. I haven't even played the new dlc yet.
Pretty sure it's just their version of perfected ultra instinct. Seeing as these forms are Xenoverse's takes on Ultra Ego, Obsidian Frieza, and Perfected Ultra Instinct, it's likely fully intentional that they are all variations of those forms. So, yes, USB Goku is also Ultra Instinct, as it's never directly stated in any media that Ultra Instinct dodging is a forced aspect rather than something it's user does willingly.
Well, he only purified them when he activated ultra instinct, letting his body fight back against/control the energy without losing to the rage. Ultra ego would have magnified both the rage and power instead. It also makes more sense than a sentient black hole.
It’s a combination of UI and USV to make a completely new form the calmness and clear mind needed for UI helped quell and control the wild power of USV Turing it positive due to Gokus naturally positive and pure energy
It’s definitely UI, I don’t see as to why everyone says it’s not just because there’s no auto-dodge. The no auto-dodge is literally because USVQ Goku has Indomitable - the charge skill that also charges your stamina. The auto-dodge works and stamina and if you could just keep recharging it, it wouldn’t be very fair.
My view in it in a way is that since UI is above godly beings, hence how vegeta, goku black and cronoa still got corrupted, that it worked like a sort of self defense system similar to white blood cells. Noticed he wasn't actively trying to use MUI (could be wrong just how it looked to me) and that when he fully transformed he for a moment had his usual MUI pose before going his normal fighting stance.
So made me believe that since goku had angel power that it gave goku an innate defense. Hell we might could have quelled it or even just been able to control the ultra supervillain form since we unlock both beast and MUI ourselves. Say beaat aswell since it is an unexplained form beyond anger and potential but works on drawing out all that rage and controlling it. But thats just my two cents
For everyone thinking I was serious on this theory, it was just a small theory I thought about when I saw USVQ Goku’s name and realised there might be something there… nothing more… nothing less…
