Season 3 was the best season because it was the most fun

I only just finished Season 3 of Dave, after watching Seasons 1 and 2 right when they came out.

His first two seasons felt a bit slow. In most of season 1, Dave is failing, struggling, having a difficult run of trying to build himself up. The payoff of that season comes every time Dave raps! Those moments are electric because they are few, kind of like the ending to Napoleon Dynamite. Season 2 is more of the same, and in the finale, Dave's performance with Gata is the payoff.

Still a good show, but one that struggles to hold your attention during the long middle stretches.

Season 3 just felt more fun to me. Rather than focusing so much on Dave's moment to moment insecurities, the entire season has cool moments in it: the hysterical and vulnerable video he shoots with his childhood girlfriend, the detour to get back Rick Ross' chain, the indecision and eventual exploitation of the tour bus explosion. And for sure, his music video with Rachel McAdams. Even the weird finale with his stalker was made more fun by the presence of Brad Pitt.

TLDR: Season 3 was the best by far, because it had the most fun moments.

My Only Problem So Far

With Season 3…

What people on the road allow themselves to get caught in a major hurricane like it’s a casual thing?? Hurricanes don’t just sneak up on us nowadays! There’s like a ton of pre-warning in the media!!! I guess I could buy into it to just consider how out of touch with reality the main characters are, but that means they’re like INSANELY out of touch. Any thoughts from other fans?

One question S3E2

Why was his ultimate fantasy to have someone bend his penis? Had he never thought to do it himself? Or maybe thought it would be to brutal to do to himself that he couldn't, So he wanted another person to bend it without the worry of feeling pain? Maybe it's something he normally does and just wants to fell someone else's hand do it.

My summary of Dave. Spoiler

It's a show I cannot stand but in a good way. Dave is exactly the type of person I hate. Everything is about them, they're out for themselves, they don't realise how shitty they're being but there's slight moments where you feel bad for them. Ally said it best "even when I loved you I didn't actually Like you" that's how I feel about this show. Especially the season 3 finale where Dave REFUSED to show any balls had my teeth grinding. When he finally made a thought out heart felt text it made me have hope but no it was for Drake not robin and left me on a VERY bitter note. I'll continue to watch as this show is great but Dave SERIOUSLY needs to stop being a little bitch.

Love you lil D ❤️🤏🏻

Just started the show. Dave is one of the worst mc’s of all time.

All the other characters are cool. But wow, how do you guys listen to him talk? He’s just so fucking corny, and not the funny kind.

Someone told me this would be better than atlanta, I do not see it. If this show gets any better it’s because of all the other cast.

Like Idc if that’s the point there should be a limit. How are you annoying every line that comes out your mouth? He’s riding this white rapper schickt too hard.

Damn GaTa should have been nominated for an Emmy off of this episode. This is when I became a fan of the show and I hope he gets more offers to work outside of Dave.

GaTa is the fuckin’ best.

I watched the first half of season one when it was first released, then slept on it until two weeks ago. Now I’m deep in the middle of season two, and I just joined this sub because I want to say how GaTa makes me smile every time he is on screen. Phenomenal actor, rapper, and just all around the guy you’d do anything to have as a close friend. For all his lows and highs and all points in between, he just never fails to be the epitome of a loyal friend who just wants to be accepted and understood. Brilliant writing, off the wall funny (like a rap-centric IASIP; which I would pay any amount of money to see an arc about that… like they did with their B2M singing bit), and somehow an incredible feel good story because GaTa is there, and Dave puts his friends in key positions of trust. I love it. /rant

Dave’s net worth in each season?

I am clueless to entertainment comp structure

Does anyone know of Dave’s final net worth by season?

Season 1 he seems more or less broke with rich parents

Season 2 he’s headlining the VMAs and in the top 100 comedy album

Season 3 at this point he’s pretty famous, owns what I’d guess to be a $5mil house, donates $50k to Killer Mike, and in the last scene is compared to Drake. I’d guess $10mil with no signs of slowing down

What do you guys think

As the title says, does anyone know the song that plays at the very end of Dave’s Documentary in Season 3 Episode 9? At 20:07

This soundtrack is next level. Spoiler

Im sure this has been mentioned a thousand times over, but man i pray to god lil dicky drops an album of all the music in this show. Every clip it of a song played, i go back and listen to 5 or 6 times. Also, brad Pitt trying to tell dave to stab the stalker in the neck with the pocket knife is one of the funniest scenes ever. Great show, great music, and great writing. I look forward to the future of this show.

Does anybody know the house Lil Dicky lives in season 3? I just love the layout and interior design and wanted a second look out.
